I didn't think... but I was wrong

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the variety of elements available for designing (such as the ease of drawing lines, controlling text, and the variety of icons) and the ability to easily share material. I started using it with some preconceived notions (I had used Microsoft Visio in the past, and sometimes I had to use PowerPoint to create diagrams). I didn’t think I would end up liking it so much. It’s truly an excellent tool, and I’m using it with my team (and they quickly started using it as well).

But perhaps, if I had to pick one thing I like the most, it’s the fluidity with which I can control the diagrams during presentations. With the mouse (scroll wheel and buttons), you can “pan and zoom” with incredible ease. I’ve used it to create schedules, timelines, user interfaces, software architectures, to represent data in memory, and much more. Highly recommended.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is one "annoying" thing. I mention it because otherwise, I wouldn't have anything else to say, and it would seem strange. When you start using Miro, a kind of "mission" begins that guides you to complete certain steps (you need to create your first drawing, share it with a colleague, etc.). There are 7 steps in total. Here's the issue: the seventh step doesn’t get completed. Maybe a bug?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I finally have a tool to design and share projects. We are a distributed team, and this tool is incredibly useful.

It is very easy to integrate new users, and also to implement in the office from the beginning, it was very easy to join. customer support is very effective
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to create frames and export separate presentations without having to delete the previous ones
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can set up all the stages of my project within the program, delegating tasks, monitoring and seeing everything being done in real time

- Fast to learn for newbies
- Versital tool: I can use it for presenting something in a quick meeting or document an entire project
- quick and dirty prototyping
- It has become part of my daily routine
What do you dislike about the product?
- PDF export options are very basic
- No export to figma
- prototyping could be better (clickdummies)
- out of date prototyping templates (wireframes)
- some links don't have preview
--> Please fix basics before focussing on AI gimmiks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can work more freely than in PowerPoint.
It's my all-in-one tool.
Also I don't need to document work compared to working on real white boards.

What do you like best about the product?
infinite canvas
- means we don't need to worry about layout or how to squeeze contents into the limited space

quick paste of images and gifs
- this is one of the key features we appreciates
- the snappy operations makes collection of references and brainstorming more ease

pen support
- essential for presentation to show our partners which part of the images are we talking about

long length text
- we love to write our thoughts on miro so that it's easy to pair context with the images

alignment tools are perfect
- one of the best alignment ui.
What do you dislike about the product?
pen and eraser short cut support
- need macos keyboard support to be able to switch between pens sizes, 3 colours and erasers for quick illustration during presentation or brainstorming sessions
- ipad can have a mode to have quick menus on top dedicated for pen and eraser operations

text length
- would like to have infinite text length if technically possible
- alternatively, do an auto fold version
- 6000 words limits are cumbersome if we hit the words limit
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
project status update
project change request
research with image references
presentations
brainstorming sessions
project discussions

Very quick to learn

What do you like best about the product?
With Miro I can work together with colleagues drawing and making schematics for our software development needs. It is clear and easy enough to bring clients to the collaboration canvas without any previous training.

The narrative of our software development requirements is stored in Azure Devops, which is easily in reach of the different diagram components on the canvas. I jsut add hyperlinks to a rectangle or arrow and Miro adds a DevOps icon to the link.

In our projects we are using Miro almost on a daily basis, both for informal brainstorming and for creating schematics which will become part of official project documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I haven't figured out just yet is how to quickly snap objects to the grid. Sometimes I spend a few minutes reorganising my diagram components so they all are properly aligned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business processes need to be worked out and documented before we write user stories for software development. Miro lets us do this very quickly and while the client is on the call to clarify and contribute.

Miro supports and enhances my visual working process

  • October 22, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am a visual thinker, and I love that Miro supports that. As a designer, my process is really varied and highly appreciate that I can work on an entire work project on Miro. From categorizing research, to creating roadmaps, and even creating presentations. It is really easy to generate connections between knowledge, past and future versions of a project, and that makes ideas organically come up! I use Miro everyday for work as a Product Manager for an educational platform, so the new Figma plug-in and community add-ons allow me to really customize the platform and have everything in one place. I love zooming out at the end of the day and seeing all the progress in a visual way!
What do you dislike about the product?
As a designer, I often need to show my work and present it. I find that the export settings are still a bit basic, and would love to have more options. Something I do quite frequently is take screenshots of Miro diagrams I made and then paste them onto my presentation. I would love a way to just copy and paste shapes and text from Miro and being able to paste them as an image. I find that I never export to PDF or CSV.
Other than that, I love Miro! And I am excited to try the new AI features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now, I am using Miro everyday to map the current Customer Journey of my company. Miro allows me to see all the process: past versions of the work, research, annotations of pain points and new ideas, iterations of the map, and the final and polished version. Miro helps me to solve a problem that requires visual thinking, while also allowing my colleagues to see my work in real-time, leave comments, and work with me, though we are a remote team.

From concept to product with this one tool!

  • October 21, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy concept mapping and brainstorming across teams, and it's flexibility has replaced almost half a dozen other apps we used to use. It took no time at all to implement and intergrate into our workflow and quickly became a daily staple.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only hangup is having to constantly go back through Slack messages and emails to look for links to Miro boards. It should have a built-in catalog of all boards shared with, like Google Docs does with their Shared With Me menu.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As our projects became more complex, we found our old method of project management through tools like Asana and Google Docs became increasingly mesy and cumbersome. Miro allows us to brainstorm, plan, and work through the project collaborately all in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
Gives all participants in the team the opportunity to give inputs, both those who are very talkative and the silent/slow thinkers
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not sure about the possibilites of exporting content. This is might because of lack of knowledge
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration, inspiring to even better teamwork
