Incredibly visual and effective for real time collaborative projects

What do you like best about the product?
Miro was incredibly visual and easy to work with during our website development and UX/UI research processes. It really smoothed out our work across different project phases. I loved how team members from various departments and skill levels could easily jump in and start contributing. Creating flowcharts, sticky notes and adding real-time comments kept everyone aligned during reviews and helped us progress quickly through the website development process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Miro is generally easy to use, navigating large boards can be a bit of a hassle sometimes without knowing some shortcuts. I had to get used to shortcuts for essential functions like the hand tool to move around. While scrolling is easy, it would be great to have these tools more visible in the interface for quick access. Zooming into specific areas without multiple clicks would improve the experience. This is especially true when working on detailed sections to navigate quickly. Also remember only 3 boards will be active and editable at once in free version, however it was not a significant limitation for our project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helped us visualize and organize our entire project in one place, from UX/UI review, mapping users journey and web page planning and refinement. We were able to present the information and summary of our work to present it to stakeholders and teams and also collaborate at real time. We even used to map and analyzing feedback from surveys. When we had everything laid out visually, it provided our team with clear understanding of each phase. This really improved our workflow and made sure everyone was aligned and involved in the project.

Miro helps capture sticky notes, collaborate, and work remotely

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Intiuitive for new users to pick up, simply explain, demo, and go in 5 mins.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sticky notes auto font size can be annoying and the shapes don't have scale.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capturing sticky notes is the biggest help. During the period working 100% remotely Miro taught us how to be productive.

My favorite collaboration tool for online presentations

  • October 22, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to collaborate, your imagination is the limit, you can create differente areas, sizes and share it with your audience. It just takes a few clicks to get started, create your account, get your plan to add lots of cool features and you're good to go. I use it quite often, it's my favorite tool for my team retrospectives. Also you can integrate several tools like AWS, draw.io, you could even use it to create user story mapping and other agile tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside so far is that when you collaborate with over 200+ people, it slows down a lot and it's not easy to use.

Also, people that is not tech-savvy, tend to mess up the boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly it's helping my team collaborate with other areas and to share ideas, visualize common goals and make meetings fun!

What do you like best about the product?
It's really flexible in what I can do with it, just like a real whiteboard except I can always take it with me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because there is so much you can do with it it has quite a steep learning curve, but worth the effort in the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning, strategisng, ideas development, product development, outlining a book.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can collobrate with teams, keep people accountable and create visually appealing boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do hate natvigating it sometimes - I'm always accidently moving things around when really I was just trying to move around to a different section.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several products in development, so it helps keep each one on target. From inception to completion.

A fast tool without entry barriers

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is very helpful for our Server-Team because now we can manage ToDos, Pictures and Quotes on the SAME board/page. No more scrolling and double listing, yeah :)

And it allows us to draw together, in real time and it doesnt get deletet.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me Miro doesn't have big downsides. Just a small one for me, you cant hide your team members emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us it is the easy ability to shedule tasks and have other team members writing problems e.g. with i can react to.
It is much more helpful to have ONE Board instead of thousands of unconnected To-Do Lists and Messages.

A great way to start design sprints

What do you like best about the product?
I like Miro for the ease of access. It's great for quick Wireframes and a low barrier to entry.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, moving around the canvas using right-click is kind of strange. When new folks come to see designs I always have to orient them to this. It's unfortunate since they are experiencing the software for the first time and already have a frustrating experience on the very first feature they experience--mass-selecting design components right in front of everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I particularly like access to cloud-based products and this is a great one. Other than the basic controls, it's easy to get things up and running and share with folks immediately.

Obsidian with MarkMind & Zotero Plugin vs. Miro & Marketplace

  • October 22, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a digital whiteboard with collaboration. I love the zoom in and out function a lot. I'm using Miro since the beginning when it was born and named Real Time Board or something similar. I like some of the changes and upgrades when they rebranded to Miro.com.

Features I would 💜 to see in the near future? Let's start with a more general approach and then go into a deep dive.

#4D

{ Right now, it's a nice 2D whiteboard with some API access. I'm for sure *not* the best expert for all of it's functions, but compared to the 4D approach by my OCB™ Framework in my 👩‍🎓 :

# 💎 Obsidian | 🌐 Information System
& 🗺️ MarkMind
& 📖 Zotero

# ⚛️ Mindly | ♻️ Flow

# Google Earth | 🗺️->🌍

# Apple 🥽🎧⌚️📱

... Miro seems so Web 2.0 for me and doesn't have a real username anymore. But hey, 👋🏼 let's change it together:

christof.ryter@stud.uni-goettingen.de
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not possible to have a real nice access to OpenAI and Anthropic or maybe I am just too lazy. Also some problems with the speed of zoom in and zoom out if you have too many files. Also it's only, "only" 2D :-(.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Education, Idea 💡 visualization, Teamwork with boomers.
