Great tool for collaborating on and defining Business Requirements

  • October 21, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that multiple team members at once can make contributions to a common board. It allows people to get their ideas out; wheras an a typical environment a few alpha users would dominate a meeting giving little space for other to contribute.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use Miro extensively, so the board has gotten huge and it can be difficult to navigate. It would be nice to define pages within a board, or tag an area. Then build up a table of contents of the pages/tags so that it is quick to navigate to new areas that are being developed on the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In most organizations there are extroverts and introverts. The extraverts tend to dominate meetings so ideas can be lost because introverts don't have a space to express their ideas.
Miro allows everyone to contribute ideas at the same time, without one or two persons dominating. We are getting more ideas and creating better products as a result.
We can see users are more engaged in the design now that they have more of a voice.

Miro as a creative space

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The creative way in which all the elements can be presented, I use Miro to create presentations every week where I explain ideas and concepts that, thanks to this, are perfectly understood.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is not such an organized tool, it’s just a blank space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Is the best way to present my ideas with the creative team.

A truly democratic tool for tech professionals

  • October 21, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
It provides a wide range of tools to create different kinds of documentation and online dynamics. It's an all-around tool that helps you organize your thoughts, think systemically, design user journeys and user flows, map content, organize research insights, document software architecture visually, conduct workshops, and many other things.

I also like how Miro helps you to find out what tools and features it offers. Besides, it's a great tool to use with other professionals, either from your own company, or from outside, like third-party individuals. It has built-in features to help users communicate and work along in its virtual space, which helps to close the gap with meetings in person - and that is important to democratize remote work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say that I dislike this, necessarily, but I have a hard time using templates. Most of the time they have a very especific design, and I have to tweak it here and there to make it aligned with the kind of material I need to start working. For that reason, most of the time I go with basic components such as frames, shapes and post-its, and build my own templates from scratch - which also helps me to organize my thoughts around the project I'm working on.

To be fair, on the other hand, the templates are still useful to me when it comes to getting inspiration for frameworks and different dynamics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps by closing the gap between remote and on-site professionals. It's suite of features gives shape to an environment where everyone can work together just fine while staying remote. It is also a comprehensive enough tool to help people flesh out their thoughts and processes - something a lot of times we would do with a pencil and a paper sheet, now we're able to do inside a Miro canvas.

Both these qualities benefit me a lot, since I'm a product designer who often needs to schematize websites, features, user flows, while also having to work with research and insights gathering. I work remotely too, and for this reason, Miro ends up being the go-to tool to provide most functionalities I need other then surveying, user-testing and prototyping.

Overall a positive experience

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro on weekly basis and it has been super helpful in organising upcoming events for our company - using the calendar template to do this. There is a broad range of templates to pick from and once selected, was easy to edit with the tools provided.

It has been especially useful in collaboratively working together on projects, where everyone can access and edit the content too. The interface is simple to use and straight forward.

Coming from a design background I woud say that the programme allows you to create visually appealing documents, however this wouldn't necesarily be my first point of call for any creative output and use it primarily for organising and planning projects, but can see how this could be beneficial if aren't trained in this field.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't know you were able to integrate it with other platforms, perhaps when joining there could be a 'onboarding' style introduction, to tell you about all the things Miro could do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all my project research and organising in one place.

A clean and easy to use tool with very minimal learning curve

  • October 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to use. I could give it to the most basic tech savvy users and they could use it comfortably after a few minutes. I've got complimented multiple times for workflow designs done through Miro. I use it daily for all my project briefs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some elements are not as customisable. For example, if I wanted to make custom shapes, I haven't found a way to do that yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easier to capture user sentiment and requirements in a visually appealing way.

My experience with Miro

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro makes the day-to-day work of our company's product and development teams much easier. It and its templates are used in various dynamics, scrum meetings, and in research and demand organization processes. The various features, integrations, and possibilities are great. In addition, the tutorials that explain our features are clear and objective.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss some features that I have seen on other platforms and that promote interaction between participants in a dynamic, in addition to promoting greater personalization of participating users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Need to carry out synchronous and asynchronous dynamics with the objective of studying and mapping opportunities for improvement in our products. In addition to obtaining feedback and evaluations from the development team participants.

Amazing tool for remote collaboration, social activities and visualising business journeys

  • October 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It makes collaboration fun with the various features such as reactions, timers, music, follow me feature and has a no latency way of operating.
It provides different diagramming templates, and the thousands of ready-made templates help create an online workshop in an instant. Implementing new boards is really easy and allows creativity. We use MIRO for most of our Software engineering team rituals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Migrating from one Miro workspace to another is not so straightforward, and it would be great to have ready-made flows, none other than templates. For example, to run a retrospective, it's nice to have something similar to Team Retro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating between remote teams is a bliss using MIRO. We are finding quite useful to visual business and customer journeys, or open a collaboration space.
