The Ultimate Tool for Collaborations

  • August 20, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I was looking for a tool to brainstorm project ideas with my friend and came across Miro. It turned out to be perfect for real-time collaboration. We could easily share our vision, add references and images, and even use sticker comments to drop in quick ideas. The board had tons of space, so we could spread out all our thoughts without running out of room. I especially liked the commenting feature—it made it easy to come back later and see each other’s feedback on different things. Another friend of mine even joked that recommending Miro was the best part of our friendship!
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version only allows for 3 boards and Miro sometimes freezes or slows down when there’s too much on the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a graphic designer who works remotely, I find Miro really valuable for brainstorming project ideas with my colleagues. It helps us organize our workflow and share ideas in real time, allowing us to see a visual representation of our thoughts.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has no limits and offers for easy brainstorming and creativity. I just love how I can paste in anything, leave comments, create wireframes, make presentations, conducts workshops, organise information, plan, collaborate, get and give feedback and literally do any kind of UX work in Miro.
It's a great help for my projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only concerns I've encountered lately were about it's not being an open-source product, so sharing might be limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro makes it easy to create anything visual for UX / UI work and share it with the team, bringing us all to a collective understanding of the problems we are solving.

Game Changer

What do you like best about the product?
As a design firm with remote team-members, Miro allows us to host collaborative design sessions virtually. I've also found it to be a great resource even when using it individually to white-board ideas, and rapid-prototype inspiration/materials boards, and even graphic design layouts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro doesn't handle large images or pdf's very well - the boards get bogged down and slow. And sometimes it's been a little glitchy. We've noticed a decline in performance since we initially started using it in 2020
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a visual virtual collaboration space.

Great collaboration and design tool, file management needs work

What do you like best about the product?
I love that miro is constantly improving and keeping up with the latest technologies. It's exciting to have access to various new AI features to see how they can speed up and or improve our work. And I love that how easy miro makes it to collaborate on design research and concepts development. It really is an incredibly flexible tool that our team can't do without.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the limited project and board organization and management tools. I am part of large department team so the number of projects is overwhelming. And there's no sub-foldering with projects. It can be very difficult to find boards I'm looking for, especially those from a year or more ago that I need to reference again. So I would love to see some improvement in this area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro provides us with an invaluable tool for team collaboration both within our department and outside of it. This ability to collaborate on projects with stakeholders like Product Managers and Development teams dramatically improves our digital products because it facilitates alignment, early identification of constraints and opportunities, and makes it easy to work asynchronously when needed. Miro also is probably the best virtual solution and alternative to a physical whiteboard that I've used. Only it's better because it integrates with the rest of the digital universe and you never have to erase or take pictures to save your work.

As an everyday Miro user, I can't imagine working without Miro

  • August 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows me to work remotely, I use it every day. I'm a service designer, and a huge part of my job is about facilitating sessions with different stakeholders. We are based on different cities, so I can't imagine working without Miro.

- I love how easy it is to use, many times I run sessions with users or stakeholders who never used it before, and it's extremelly intuitive.
- Many simple features such as presentation, bring to me, and timer are really useful in those situations.
- I also use Miro to analyse qualitative data I get from interviews and workshops, some features such as using AI to group, or tags, are really useful.
- Within our company we create our own templates, save them and try to enhace the use of them within the company.
- We recently started to do some low-fi wireframing on Miro, we had a design sprint a couple of weeks ago, and for example, to start putting together some ideas with Product Managers, it was so easy to use!
- Last year I was in charged of negociating the new contract for our company, and I must say that in general the customer support was great. We only had some small issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me the main downside of Miro is that it can become messy. When you share a board with someone who wasn't part of that project it can be hard to understand it. I believe you are starting to tackle this problem with the Talktracj feature, but I wonder if there's something else you can do in that space.

The other issue we had when renewing the contract, is that we have some problems wiht the usage report Miro was sharing with us. It wasn't really accurate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I already mentioned, we are a company where most of the people works remotely. And my role is as Service Designer, I'm constantly facilitating sessions with stakeholders based all along the UK. My work without Miro would be imposible.

We have tested other tools such as FigJam, but I believe Miro has way more features, and also the UI makes it easier to use for those ones who are new to it.

Miro allows as to work collaboratevly, also it's excellent when mapping out processes or journeys. It's my favourite tool when creating service blueprints or Journey Mapps.

We also use it to create rowadmaps, and track the state of each stage, the Jira integrations has make it easier for us to. Jira is not that user friendly when it comes to visualising the state of a project, I believe that the integration with Miro, has made our life easier.
