Miro for Teamwork and Mindmapping

  • August 06, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is easy to use and helps teams work together. It has lots of templates and tools to help with creativity and productivity. It also has features that let you work with other apps. Miro's mind-mapping tools are strong, making it easy to visualise ideas and connections. Team members can contribute with real-time collaboration, enhancing group brainstorming.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro offers lots of app integrations, but they can be complex and require technical knowledge. Also, some features may not work properly when apps are connected. The platform can also become slow when using very large multi-element boards in collaborative sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps you to see and manage the supply chain structure across different plants and worldwide teams. It lets you create maps and flowcharts of the whole supply chain, showing how everything is connected and where things go. Its collaborative features allow all stakeholders to contribute to decision-making processes efficiently, regardless of location.

Great tool for Retros and exploration

  • July 31, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- It is a very collaborative, visual toolm which focus on exploring things together. I used it a lot for Retros and also Strategy workshops.
- It makes it easy to focus together (via Zoom in and out)
- Good templates, which get yo quick to a structured and good looking result
What do you dislike about the product?
- It is hard to share/ export the results to other users or tools. E.g. to include this as text in a confluence blog.
- I always hate the text formatting things. Always central by default. Size varies. For me that ofter feels unprofessional.
- I'm also not sure if it is easy possible to integrate tables e.g. from Excel without losing formats.
- It is sometimes unclear who can I share the board with, what does the other person allowed to see / do.
- Not sure if there is a "version control". So that I can go back in times if something went wrong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Supporting structured Retros (also with templates).
Easy visual commitment & collaboration.

Miro is a multitasking tool

  • July 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the many features Miro has, that you can use at the same time. Another good asset is the easy sharing and using at the same time with your colleagues. It is a very intuitive tool, with easy implementation. I use the premium version, but the free version is also very good and people can use without the fear of expiring your session.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the select tool, it's a bit confusing to switch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can use it for exploring ideas and brainstorming. The Mind Mapping is a good asset for drawing what goes in my mind, which i haven't found in another platform, honestly.

My Experience about lovely Miro

  • July 30, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's great for collaborating with teammates. I can work in sync with them and easily reach out to support when I'm stuck. I use Miro to create work charts, mindmaps, and presentations. I update things on Miro almost every day and can upload documents in various formats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I need to zoom in further, but there's a limit. It would be great if I could zoom in more. Additionally, if I could use labeling, then I could modify them all at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's great for collaborating with teammates. I can work in sync with them. Before Miro, I tried several options but the experience was not that good.

A Product Manager's Dream

  • July 30, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
The balance of templates and guidance with pretty much unlimited freedom. I can create whatever I want to collaborate with my engineers, to do discovery with my users etc. but whenever I want something specific, it feels like MIRO has already thought about it. From voting, timers, anonymity and more - it is one of the few tools I read all of their updates
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have trouble copying between MIRO boards, connecting MIRO boards and ensuring my target audience has access. This could very well be a system admin or seats issue but its happened across multiple companies I have worked at while using MIRO
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's best to be specific - today I am hosting a Retro between my platform product team and another product / eng team with whom we worked over the last 6 months. We will be able to collaborate in person and virtually and identify a variety of strengths, weaknesses and opportunities to improve upon moving forward. The flexibility of MIRO made it easy to customize this Retro how I wanted and personalize it to our teams.

Its easy interface and built-in tools help you draft thoughts, link them to other ideas using stickers, frames, and many other shapes. Its integration with AI has taken the app to another level, making everything much easier and faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its cost and sometimes slow performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps individuals and/or teams to brainstorm about anything, putting thoughts into concrete ideas and form them to action items.

Using miro for block diagrams for systems and electronics

  • July 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Nothing to install, and everything is available no matter which computer you are on.
It's intuitive to use, no manuals to read.
Just about anything is easy to represent and model in MIRO for team collaboration. The ability to leave comments and pin to a section of the design is very usefull for collaboration with a worldwide team.
I use it for anything I can
What do you dislike about the product?
I would probably add some features for versioning or archiving non current designs, but, part of the appeal here is it is simple to use - that is I don't have to spend any time learning, and just get straight to the work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use MIRO to share and create block diagrams of electronic assemblies such that a team can achieve a collaborated and agreed on design when we are all in different time zones.
