Marvelous collaborative ideation tool

  • June 28, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the most the simplicity and the freedom that the tool gives you. It really is a white board without limits
What do you dislike about the product?
It should be easier to collaborate on a whiteboard with the real names of the participants, without having them to register.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Even if you are all working from home, at a distance, you can all look and collaborate on the same subject. It's like you're together in a virtual room.
The possibilities are nearly the same as if you we're all live in the same room

    Computer Software

A great app with minor shortcomings

What do you like best about the product?
I'd say it's features are 'just needed' and the discoverability and intuitiveness to use them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I recently saw the Gen-AI feature in Miro and I tried using it for multiple purposes. It doesn't really does the job, most of the times I tried. For instance, I once tried to bring in a table of responses, select a column from it, and convert each row of that column into sticky notes with only the relevant text. Something similar to what I'd do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I largely use Miro for data cleaning and summarization (or triaging). Doing activities like removing irrelevant data from user responses, thematic analysis of user responses, workflow mapping, and empathy mapping on doc pages or other platforms is quite difficult. Miro is a very efficient virtual whiteboard that allows very effective collaboration for data refinement and summarization. Miro helps reduce my effort required on these activities. Their templates are just what I need for my work.

I always use Miro and I love it

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro everyday. With my work as a Designer/analyst I use it to visualize everything. I give a lot of only sessions with stakeholders and it's great to use it with a big group. I really happy with Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can think of is that I didn't find an easy way to take the boards from one account to another one. I have recently switched to another company and I already miss my old Miro boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am doing a lot of sessions with stakeholders. That's a really big solution for getting a lot of feedback from everywhere.

Intuitive and a delight to use

What do you like best about the product?
Diagramming has become a breeze, almost compelling you to refine your design further. After dedicating numerous hours to Miro, it feels like a natural extension of my thought process and mouse. The sharing functionality is executed perfectly, offering simplicity and adaptability to meet various requirements. Branding and built in styles offer color choices to fit any project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Transitioning from Figma (Figjams) to Miro feels incomplete. The capacity to customize settings is underdeveloped and not accessible to the user. While Miro is user-friendly enough for basic use, power users likely seek greater customization options. Additionally, a dark mode would be helpful during late-night sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project diagrams, timelines, process flows of our day-to-day operations.

A leader in the collaborative workspace tool

  • June 25, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
At work due to the nature of business, I frequently collaborate with teams across different locations. Miro is a great tool that helps us collaborate and work together. Using Miro as a tool for brainstorming and design thinking has almost eliminated the need for a physical whiteboard. Miro helps me in facilitating both synchronous and asynchronous collaboration.

Miro has been continuously adding new features. Miro has recently included the option of technical diagrams which has broadened its usage across engineering and technology teams. In collaboration sessions, we use timer functionality and background music which provides the option to focus time even while working together.

Miro has been the go-to tool for sharing ideas for prototyping and gathering feedback effectively with internal, and external stakeholders. This flexibility in using the tool to integrate the client team into the process ensures that timely feedback is gathered from everybody involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
One specific issue I often struggle with is the text formatting within shapes in Miro. The sizing of font and shape is tied together which creates an annoying experience at times. The font size should be separate from the Shape size. Additionally, there is a lack of uniformity in formatting options across different shapes. Some shape provides the option to have bulleted content and some do not.

Some of the recent changes have made the platform slow. The search for a shape has been slow in the last few weeks.

The introduction of the AI feature was great, but it provides very basic functionality. Quite often it doesn't perform as expected.

One more feature which does not work quite well is versioning, especially when collaborating with multiple people simultaneously. Tracking changes and reverting to previous versions is challenging in these scenarios.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has been a go-to tool for remote as well as in-person working sessions. We do our WIP using Miro and start with an icebreaker. The usage of Miro across meetings has improved our ability to generate and develop ideas together. Through features like mind maps, flowcharts, and sticky notes, we can concisely structure our thoughts and ideas.

We are a multidiscipline company and this has become a go-to tool for all different discipline teams.

Low friction collaboration tool

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That it doesn't get in my way. I can just create content in live collaboration with my colleauges. No need to screenshare since I can quickly follow a colleauge if they need to show something.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmm not a lot. Some of the more advanced features are a bit hidden, so you don't discover them as easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration in a remote first company

Powerful tool for effective remote cooperation

  • June 23, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Fast sketch of idea with diagram or flow
Follow the presenter during the meeting is very helpful
Save online, review offline, comments with other members of the team.

It give a set of features to reproduce a physical presence in the office even if your are working in remote.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have possibility to save a set of diagram (pre-built) in my library and reuse across the project tab or share with my colleagues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing of topics and idea when people work in remote
Have a common digital space where to share ideas

    Design

An excellent platform to collate, create and collaborate

  • June 21, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most useful feature of Miro is its ability to maintain an organised history of creative development. It allows you to view the entire journey of a project's evolution, from conception to implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features can be difficult to use such as the text box - challenging to manipulate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A key problem it solves is the traditional format of brainstorming. Traditionally, when brainstorming, elements and ideas are easily lost, particularly when scanning or taking photos of the brainstorm. The fidelity is not nearly as detailed as the Miro experience.

Supreme user experience

  • June 20, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
To me, Miro offers a supreme user experience and ease-of-use compared to other similar tools. It‘s fast, reliable and offers quick onboarding of external users. It‘s also working really well with larger files and complex boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Frankly, I don‘t see any downsides. The pricing is attractive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro throughout an assignment with different tasks. In the beginning, we sketch the outlines of a project, discuss its scope and if we find it usefull, we sometimes sketch a basic tabular timeframe basic. During a project, we use it to bring together and (remotely) present different options, ideas and designs to negotiate, feedback and choose from.
