Miro the best app for collaborative work

  • June 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
An interactive whiteboard with many features. In particular, talk tracks for recording videos and also the insertion of entire books, e.g., for organizing literature work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Talktracks can ONLY be played on desktop. It is not possible for tablets :(
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Miro, I can conduct my work at the university as a tutor online with students. Simultaneous work on tasks and real-time synchronizations form the foundation here.

Great tool for remote collaboration across teams whilst remote

  • June 10, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has been great within our Product & Engineering teams to collaborate on the majority of steps in the conceptualisation and design stages of our product lifecycle. It enables us to build details boards with research, user flows, user story mapping etc up to estimation with the developers - where all team members can view and collaborate as part of our remote teams. I use miro daily, and often have many boards on the go at a time!
The templates are great and the integrations with other applications makes transitioning very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I dislike about miro, I think it's a great tool.
My biggest issue (which is not really big at all) is that I have difficulty using the board on a smaller screen of my laptop or when using the laptop track pad - I prefer a wider screen and mouse when using miro
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps with team collaboration and simplifying often complex concepts and user flows.

The savior for specific communication

  • June 10, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the commenting and tagging tool. Really being able to comment anywhere on the image, especially to give indications about something specific without having to indicate where it is, is splendid. And I like that if you left a message halfway through, it saves it.
What do you dislike about the product?
For now, the tables. Although they are useful and the use is understood, handling them is complicated for me. So I avoid them. And also, I would like to have stickers about the creative processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Effective communication is essential for the creative process, as it enables the timely and effective resolution of problems. A comprehensive view of the project allows for the identification of potential issues and ensures that the team is on the right track.

What do you like best about the product?
I can use it to take notes on everything and help me understand better.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there could be more tools and overall my experience is still very good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me make mind maps, can edit projects remotely with others at the same time, and see other people's editing paths without time difference.

Miro is good for system design and process design.

  • June 07, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The zoom in / zoom out feature, which facilitates creating processes inside processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Item selection can be flaky.

Also, I would like to be able to create groups (grouping items together) and templating the groups (so we can make copies). Just like with Figma.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding a product/software/ML model. Demoing a product/software/ML model.

Miro gets the details right

  • June 07, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is an excellent all-in-one tool for discovery and design. I use it dozens of times a day, probably 20+ hours per week, and have compared it on my own volition against competing software. It outperforms the others. It gives a seamless experience for diagramming, journey-mapping, and mocking up user experiences. From details like the Wireframe Library's icons and how sticky/snappy objects are to larger features like crowdsourced templates, it makes me faster & better at my job. I'm able to rapidly produce high-quality mockups in Miro that even others who know my software platform very deeply conflate for being real screens.
What do you dislike about the product?
These are the top three opportunities / improvements that would benefit me most:
* Performance: Very large boards become slow (esp with inserted images).
* Foreground/background click targets: Some background objects have too large a click target (e.g. when editing components on top of a grid or frame background, it is too easy to select the background frame/grid cell instead of the foreground content, so I need to slow down and click-and-hold to lasso the objects).
* No versioning: I need to paste copies of my objects (esp iterations of mockups) because Miro does not capture (or I haven't found) object versioning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All-in-one location for diagrams, maps, and wireframes that allows me to share with coworkers and clients who lack licenses.

A fantastic brain capture and a seamless collaborative tool

  • June 07, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. Collaboration is seamless
2. Can be used an architecture tool, process capture machine, user story bucket etc., really a multi faceted tool
3. The way it could be integratedd with presentations, confluence, jira etc., are amazing
4. The fact that it can be used just from browser it also nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
May be it can offer much more out of the bo pictures and recommendations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easier to paint the pictures of different topics like data, processes, capability eyc. Hence it is drawing the picture of current and the direction of where to go.

Easy to use, multi-purpose collaboration tool

  • June 06, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Miro is that it has its own identity and has become a common practice in our company. It's our go-to work tool whenever we need to collaborate as a team and visualize complex ideas or user flows. Its ease of use and cool templates serve so many purposes - whether running a big workshop, trying to express an idea, or creating an org chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
I consider myself to be a novice user - it would be great to learn more tips and tricks and also be able to insert videos and not just photos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When working remotely, team need to reinvent the "white board" concept that has become a common practice for collaboration.
The benefit of using Miro is the number of available templates for different purposes and objectives.
It's not a "one solution fits all" - but actually the variations of each suggested templates and the why it's easy to modify as needed, makes it the best solution for teams collaboration.

Miro is a game changer for visual thinkers

  • June 06, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love it because it helps me to articulate something super fast without putting anything down in a documentation app or a piece of paper. I love that if I have to brainstorm with my team, I don't have to see them or understand them for that matter—when there are barriers between languages, etc. Miro can articulate thoughts. My favorite thing is how I can draw what feels like an infinite amount on the same board. And it's super easy to use, I prefer the app, only takes a few clicks to start using. And Miro's ease of use is incentivizing me to keep usint it even if other stateholders of my project is not familliar with miro. It's easy to keep up with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes have trouble navigating the board—I get lost, and it takes a few seconds to find some graph I put down a little earlier. A bookmark feature would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work on ideating through reasonably complicated product flows, systems, and sometimes even customer journeys. Miro makes it easy to branch out into the details with connectors; it's quite something. Then, I don't waste much time writing word for word of these main points. Besides, this also helps me quickly brainstorm with colleagues because it's visual and real-time.
