Consulting virtual woshops has become the best thing i have done in a while thanks to miro
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to create exciting workshop content and the ability to have a lot of people in one room
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not love the automatic resize of the tables
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are helping us connect with clients in other parts of the world that we would not have been able to before. Customer journey mapping has become much easier with the sticky note tool
Online collaboration even at a distance
What do you like best about the product?
There is a huge range of uses and tools for miro. I use it when trying to think through service and system designs on my own with post-it-notes, and lines, and creating blueprints. But I also use it to facilitate meetings and online collaborative working, either using the templates in Miro or creating my own template and using colour coded post-it-notes to track each of the contributor's activities. It's about as close as you can get to moving a physical whiteboard into an intuitive online space, in some ways better (there is less cleaning to be done and it's easier to save).
What do you dislike about the product?
- Contacting support can be a bit of a challenge if something goes wrong
- It's not always easy to share boards if you are not an admin
- I'd like more shapes to choose from (with inline arrows a particular request)
- the tables can not be extended into as many cells long as I would like for a good service blueprint

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am usually trying to think through new services or systems and how to ensure that a team of people is collaborating on them effectively. Miro helps by offering participants different ways to vote, embedded timers to create time-bound activities. As an admin its relatively easy to mix levels of access and visibility participants have to different parts of the workshop.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's the best virtual whiteboard I have used to date. It's worth trying if you need a virtual collaborative environment.
Amazing tool for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Miro helped me during the lockdown to work collaboratively with the team, exactly like when we were in the office, and sometimes better. It is a fundamental tool in our workflow for brainstorming, decision making, and co-design activities. We often use Miro boards as addition specifications for sofware developers, both exported as images or PDF and directly linked into DevOps cards.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't easy to handle big groups of anonymous users. It happens a lot when we run a big workshop with persons external to our organization that aren't autonomous in exporting information and other activities. The voting system isn't so intuitive to use for first-comers. The wireframe library could be bigger, I usually prefer to sketch with shapes and text. Make it easier to draw lines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Powerful whiteboard for co-design activities, both with designers and developers
- Make it easy to handle big meetings with a lot of essential stakeholders, making the conversation more structured and easy to manage
- Perfect to collect inspirational material for market analysis, user testing, and UX design

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use a lot the guest access to make it every day in the organization to see Miro boards, and it can be not easy to understand the concept if you never used collaborative whiteboards.
World class collaboration & ideation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. The UI is extremely easy accessible, and makes it really easy for people who are less tech-savvy to contribute to Miro boards
What do you dislike about the product?
As much as we'd like to, I'll never get away from needing to create powerpoints. Exporting frames into a more PPT friendly format would be good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brainstorming with less words. It's helping us to become more visual & tap into that creative side of our brains!
Miro is also helping us move away from traditional documentation methods for internal uses where straight to the point visual boards do the trick

Miro is a great tool for collaboration and ideation
What do you like best about the product?
I can use it for facilitating workshops and the tools for collaboration are very versatile. Also, I'm happy with the AI integration that allow us to cluster concepts by keywords. It's quite good not only for facilitation but for organising other type of data like verbatims from interviews.
Besides of collaoration, I use it for solo ideation when kickstarting projects and for mindmapping.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have to facilitate workshops where not everyone has access to the tool, and it's quite challenging for them to just to use the comment feature. The basic mode could have some sort of integration for this cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a very visual person so it's a great way to display all data and how each concept relates with each other. It helps me a lot also to put together different elements (benchmark, wireframes, visual data) to show a bigger concept to different stakeholders, and to have them in the same space to make a workshop together.
The IA feature helps me organize data by key concepts easily.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend it to cross-functional teams, especially if they involve designers and other stakeholders, also to conduct workshops.
Helpful Tool for Remote Collaboration and Connection
What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows for an in-person feel to meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are hard to learn, difficult to teach. Not every feature is useful, so learning all of them seems like overkill.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Annual reviews, group collaboration where input is required but folks don't feel like they're put on the spot. Passive input!
Great Digital/Remote Project and Brainstorming Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows for extensive workspace customization - if you need a digital means to work together remotely on anything visual from a complex project, slideshow, or quick brainstorming session, you're likely going to be able to accomplish that in Miro (and moreover likely with a small learning curve, if any). Also helpful that it supports video/audio and screenshare, so you don't have to balance another conferencing app with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that would be nice would be an offline mode; if the full product can't be available offline, an offline viewing and notes feature could be helpful to record things for editing/later implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has been very helpful in closing some of the "gaps" that a fully remote environment can sometimes leave as it replaces in-person brainstorming and visual project planning while providing more tools and flexibility than an in-person session may be able to provide.
Amazing product, just one thing holding me back from giving a 10!
What do you like best about the product?
Amazing interface, real attention to detail we are now using it really extensively within our business - definitely an improvement vs physical post it exercises
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the search functionality is only available for Enterprise packages, but Enterprise packages don't make sense for smaller teams <50, so we've no way to access that enhanced functionality which is really frustrating, especially when you do a search and it tells you there are 8 results on boards but you have to upgrade to see where they are :( This is the only thing holding me back from giving a 10
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote working collaboration internally and externally
Great experience transition to Miro from face-to-face workshops
What do you like best about the product?
- Its ability to run engaging/detailed workshops
- Resources for workshops
- Ease of use for collating research findings or storyboarding/journey mapping

What do you dislike about the product?
- Bugs (usability issues)
- Notifications/comments can be a bit clunky, not the best experience going from emailed comments to the actual comment

Enable people to work in teams
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can integrate various artifacts like slide decks and images with miro's visual tools on one large virtual canvas.
What do you dislike about the product?
The billing model is hard to explain to traditional procurement teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run ideation sessions and planning sessions with folks working from various locations, and we design artifacts that are then used in presentations.
