Made Working From Home a Breeze

  • January 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration aspect of Miro is great. You can have a whole team of people working in a board at the same time, with live updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have a lot of info in a board, it can slow it down. I've had issues with content loading and the occasional crash.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company has been working from home for almost a year now, and I don't know what we would do without Miro. It is extremely user-friendly, collaborative, and affordable.

Great for visual collaboration

  • December 21, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use Miro as a collaborative tool on remote calls and allows our team the ability to brainstorm and map out our thoughts in a more visual manner than you usually would be able to.
What do you dislike about the product?
For the cost, I wish there were more features available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For one of our design projects, we are able to take a high level look at the project across the board, as well as zoom into specific components and react to them. This allows us to have a feedback session that is interactive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set up any concept boards prior to a meeting and delegate who is in charge of each Miro board.

98% perfect diagramming tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Collaborating live on Miro has been the best replacement for IRL whiteboarding sessions I've found, and as a UX Designer/Product Owner, it's one of the easiest tools for ideation and process capture, even easier than Omnigraffle was. I can have non-designers participate and pick it up very easily, or use it for detailed wireframes and site maps.
What do you dislike about the product?
1.No element libraries is a HUGE gap and missed opportunity, and that's the only thing that prevent me from a 100% positive review.

2. I really hate truncating titles to fit narrow tabs. Just give it another row so I can see the full damn title!

Miro is my third brain hemisphere

  • December 04, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro's flexibility and intuitive controls allow me quickly to layout and explore ideas, while also enabling me to get organized. It's like my left and right hemispheres are working together.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to say because Miro is pretty robust... maybe the fact of not being able to use certain features depending on what type of documentation I started. Like mindmap and stickies not being able to connect in one place.
Oh, and it seems that Miro is not passing muster with the security audits for some clients. So it can't be used for some projects, forcing us to use other design collab products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Exploring problem space.
Outlining user flows.
Communicating to stakeholders and teammates.
Benefit: The ease of collaboration is amazing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro's flexibility and intuitive controls allow me quickly to layout and explore ideas, while also enabling me to get organized. It's like my left and right brain hemispheres are working together and now I have a third hemisphere.

Easier to use than I thought

What do you like best about the product?
The easy access to the board for the client I'm working with. You just press the "Share" button, copy the board link and voilà! It is really straight forward and clients who had never used Miro before were not confused at all. It matters a lot because if they find it confusing it will affect the whole session I'm facilitating. So this is crucial to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mindmap canvas could be improved a bit. The way it is now, it occupies a lot of space. Not that there is a lack of space, but I prefer when the branches are closer together.
It's a bit annoying when users inadvertently move frames because they simply hook the button of their mouse over the frame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the pandemia, I had to find a way to work with group of clients with which I usually meet in a conference room equiped with various white boards. I now have all the space I need AND I can easily save a copy of all the board I'm creating.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't let all the available features scare you. It is quite user friendly.

The best virtual whiteboard, collaboration and ideation tool on the market

  • December 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user experience is tremendously polished for a web-based tool and good UX design makes co-creation sessions far smoother than they should be using a virtual whiteboard. Miro has none of the clunkiness of, say, MS Teams Whiteboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The video conferencing options feel quite limited due to the browser-based solution. I feel Miro would be better off dropping those features and focusing on the things that work fluidly within a browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all of our consulting work for customer organizations is done remotely. Miro lets us have productive workshops, co-design sessions and even end-customer interviews despite the ongoing pandemic.

Excellent tool for working collaboratively

  • December 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has very flexible tools and allows you to see what others are working on and what the latest modifications were that each person made in your absence. Another useful feature is that you can insert your own images and work on them. The design tool templates and their respective examples are very useful and allow for modifications. They can also be enriched with icons or post-its.
The initial tutorial to understand how to use the tool is of adequate length and, in general, the platform is quite intuitive to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it wasn't very intuitive how to select many elements. Later I discovered that it was by combining drag click with shift. The other thing that was difficult for me was understanding the proportions of the elements on the board, for example, I put a box and when I start writing I realize it's huge because the text looks very small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During the pandemic, it was a challenge to reinvent team work dynamics. This platform helped us to plan and then develop complete projects. From the research stage to the stage of solution prototype proposals. This is possible because they have many different tools to insert on the board, and the size of this board is infinite. This allows all documents, ideas, information, and proposals to be in one place and fully accessible to the team.

Overall it's pretty good!

  • December 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The real time co-working part, and the quick prototype part
What do you dislike about the product?
The format sometimes is hard to adjust when people are working together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Group working project and brain storming
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I like the sticker notes, but try not to click around too much cause you might accidentally change something your teammates created..

Highly recommended

What do you like best about the product?
the way we can interact with colleagues is fluent and help a lot when you need collaboration in a virtual way of work
Templates are also useful
What do you dislike about the product?
Not dislike but I would like to have more tools in terms of ordering / sort the object in the boards, like adjust at the same size the notes, other objects etc for a better look, another thing is to have the same quality of templates we can see in the selector screen, it changes a lot between what I expected to see in the board.
Miro uses a lot of resources (memory) of the laptop, some times it difficults the interaction
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
basically business issues. we had many workshop to find solutions to business topics or to create and validate new ideas to gain opportunities in the market
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Recommended tool for collaboration work

Great tool for online collaboration

  • November 29, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro gives me almost as free rein to organize stuff as would a physical whiteboard. Furthermore, when we have run a workshop with our clients, the documentation is already digital and rather easy to export to slides.
What do you dislike about the product?
Access rights are sometimes difficult to manage. Also, even though the tool is rather intuitive, it might be even more simplified for guest users who sometimes have difficulties to start using Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro to collaborate with our teams and to facilitate remote workshops
