It helped us a lot with User Research and UX as a remote team

What do you like best about the product?
How we can see each other mouse, that combined with all the features that can be integrated like timing and videocall were very useful, for example, once we were on a video call. At the same time, we were sorting some ideas into clusters, and it was pretty helpful to see each other's mouse while we were on a call because we were able to work on areas where nobody was working on.
Another app I loved was the timer, once we were brainstorming ideas on specific problems, and it was beneficial to have a timer inside the board that everyone could see to limit the time we spend on each idea
What do you dislike about the product?
Once by mistake, I was trying to organize various items, and I select them with the mouse and pressed the bottom of group objects, then I needed to do something else, so I closed the tab, and the next day when I opened the project, everything was a mess, the group objects bottom had messed up everything, and sadly I couldn't undo the change

I tried looking at the history of the project just like I when I messed up something on google docs, I just go to the history and see the changes, see who made them and recover those changes if necessary. But when I looked over Miro I didn't found that
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our team, we used Miro mainly for UX activities like grouping interview answers, organizing ideas in group sessions, brainstorming, commenting on flow diagrams
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I will recommend other people to use Miro but to be careful with grouping many items because that may mess up their board

Versatility in the space, to do things together.

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to start from a blank slate to work collaboratively with a general perspective that encompasses everything and then propose a particular view on a sector. It is versatile because you can plan super organized and structured work or projects where freedom of expression is expressed 100% creatively. I started using the online app, but for projects that contain many images that slow down the handling of the board, I opted to download the app to the desktop with the executable, and you can notice the difference in some boards. On the other hand, during the class dynamics, the tools that allow you to bring others or everyone to a sector of the board that you want to show to highlight specific content are very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the dynamics of the classes, it is necessary to have direct contact, and sometimes the chat is not enough, so I complement with the Zoom app to enhance communication in the classes, considering that I work in a secondary school. I think to complete a creative work, I would need a tool that allows me to draw with a self-correcting stroke within certain established parameters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started working by trying the free account and then switched to the Education account. I thought the transfer would be more cumbersome and tedious, but Miró contacted me and defined the transfer immediately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend being clear about what we want to communicate or the objective to share. Discover all the available tools through prior testing.

It's flexible

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Freedom that does not interfere with the process of thinking.
Functional upgrading speed is fine.
What do you dislike about the product?
The worst thing is that you can only have two levels of board and you can't categorize the board in your project. At least 3 levels are required.I've already told Miro about this, but it hasn't improved.
As the number of items increases, the operation of the PC becomes heavier.
I'm always confused by the optimal board magnification settings.
I don't know how much magnification I should start drawing to make it easier to handle even if the picture gets bigger.
Text fields can behave strangely when filled with a lot of text.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
・ For personal work to analyze my problems
・ For remote work when analyzing research results with team members
・ Present the STORY to tell

Story presentation needs frequent zoom-in and out during the speech. I usually utilize 'prezi' as my presentation tool; however, it is only for presentation. I can use Miro as an analyzing tool, too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's so easy to use. I think it's a friendly tool to get started.
We also believe that the features are frequently updated so that we can improve them together.
You can use it individually or as a team.

A beautiful and intuitive way to co-create with co-workers

  • May 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a straightforward and intuitive tool to use. I use it almost every day, and it's such a beautiful tool to build workflows and wireframes, have co-create sessions/workshops, gather visual references, and develop roadmaps. I love the pre-filled templates, especially the "Customer Journey Map (Timeline)", "Mindmap", "Kanban Framework" and "Product Roadmap" ones. They save you a lot of time - especially if you're not artistically gifted.
My designer teammates also love to use Miro! I love populating the abord along with my Product Designer. It replicates the feeling of writing on a whiteboard with other people (which has not happened since the beginning of the pandemic). It's an excellent tool for teams that work remotely or asynchronously.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro can get very slow and "stucky" when you fill the board with lots of photos and heavy components. It can be tricky to share the screen in workshops and video conferences, for example.
Another downside is the cost. Miro can be very expensive if you intend to use it with your whole team. I work as a Product Manager, and only the design team (around ten people) and I have access to Miro. Even so, it's quite pricey - especially since I'm from Brazil and our local currency is significantly devalued against the dollar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Product Manager, I usually start my projects on a Miro board and keep adding information until it's ready to launch. It helps me to gather all the project's relevant information (doubts, hypotheses, solutions) in a single place.
I also use Confluence for documentation and Figma com wireframing.

My favourite design tool. Ever.

What do you like best about the product?
MIRO is a fast, capable and easy to use.

I started using MIRO to work with a colleague on our desing projects when the pandemic started and will neve rgo back to someof my old tools. I design hardware and software usign a LOT of differnt tools but MIRO is the dynamic tool I need to collaborate and share DESIGN THINKING. It combines dynamic, collaboartive whiteboarding (and video, voice, and chat!) and comes with built in tempaltes that support a lot of fundamnetal Desing Thikign, Strategyzer, and UX technoques. It's great for presenting too. The paltform is desinged to scale for teams and has great user and account managment tools. Guests can be invited to any baord for comment dn even to edit on the Consultant plan.

You can do just about anything in MIRO. And there are lots of post-it notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support is generally pretty good.
Some of my boards do not save to PDF correctly due to size.
I'd love to see some more robust hyperlinking between boards and the introduction of reusable components to speed wireframing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primairly we use MIRO to capture and communicate our THINKING.
Using boards for this has mad eit easy to work remotely with others and to get team input on projects.

Amazing space to get stuff done

  • May 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how endless it is, and you can keep going and going with canvas after canvas and send links to a particular canvas. It's super intuitive too. Canvases and features are essential and valuable, especially the Post and flow charts. What I dislike about it is the arrows when you join two boxes together, the arrow is too thin to see, and you should be able to change the thickness of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I mentioned the arrows above and changing thickness. Another minor annoying thing that I would love a fix for is if you import ten images, and then you want to frame them (create a frame feature) you have to do it individually. So now what you have is the ability to place thirty or forty jpgs onto a single canvas and then outline them or frame them some way. This is currently not how it's achieved though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Given the fact that we operate our teams and work in a pandemic it has been an essential space for me to collect my thoughts and progress on a project. The feature that most benefits me is that Miro is one place to keep track of everything. This includes research like notes and things people say, the process of the design, capturing the collaborative comments from others on the team, comments essential to building good products and make team building more inclusive whilst working remotely.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
So to advise anyone to use Miro, I would ask What do I need it for? Will others use it? Will it be adopted into the team as an essential tool for the team and the customer? Will everyone make use of it? I think that it is a valuable tool for the type of projects that I work on and that you probably would find great value in it too.

The perfect tool for a really SMART working

  • May 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The feature I like the most about Miro is the ability to create boards like pieces of paper and share them instantly with all my colleagues.
In a scattered world dependent on smart-working, I find very much value in share notes with my team in a creative space such as a Miro board.
The creativity is the second aspect I like the most in Miro: there is virtually no impossible thing in Miro, thanks to the choice of tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are only a few things that I dislike: in particular they mostly regard UX.
For examples, adapting the text to a sticky note is usually not very simple, and I generally incline for square shapes.
Also, locking contents and frames is sometime tricky, expecially when many users work on the same board, leading to minor inconveniences when people accidentally move frames.
Another feature that is sometimes a little annoying, is when I enter a board and it tells me all the changes that my team has done: after that I must click on every changed content to remove the notification.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I must share information with my colleagues, for which I usually would need paper (schemas, graphs, brainstorming, etc.), and I cannot simply use shared documents.
Also, I may need to use some template in order to achieve easier and quicker some result.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is very simple and helpful: after months of smart working without a tool such that, where productivity dropped due to difficulty in communication, we finally had a place where communicating easily.

Transformative for collaboration

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's really easy to get started and have a group contribute without prior experience. I like that you can visually diagram things easily with shapes that connect. Frames help you synthesize ideas after a session or can help you use one board as a collaborative space with multiple topics. Social features like commenting allow you to use a space over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little difficult to use at times - often people inadvertently move pieces of content when trying to move around the board. I find it hard to edit shapes sometimes after the fact. I also wish there were more intensive board categorization capabilities so that when used at a large company, users can navigate to a space to see their boards more effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Get teams to think on complex topics where input from multiple people is needed

Online Meetings could not be more easy with Miro!

  • May 04, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I personally liked the different tools Miro offers. Its wide variety makes it the perfect solution for any type of projects a company would need to do. It is user friendly, so it makes it perfect for people who might not be familiar with online programs.

Another thing I like is how easy it is to move around the board. Shortcuts are quite handy for this; and that makes it so much better to work around.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was introduced to Miro because I was helping improve a process, so they added me to a team. I was amazed by Miro, so I decided I wanted to use it with my coworkers. I tried to create a team, but I found it not as easy as I would thought. It was asking me to upgrade my account, but I was not ready to commit just yet, for I wanted to try it out in current role within the company. I had to create a new account in order to create a new team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using Miro for decision-making in my department. We are constantly trying to find room for improvements, and by using Miro, ideas have flown so much easier. Before Miro, everything had to be done with old fashion tools. We would need to write down our ideas on a piece of paper, then talk about it and finally come up with those ideas that would work best. Now, everything is made online and on the go. Feedback is instant, and the most beneficial trait that I personally believe Miro offers is that it is visually friendly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should definitely give it a try. Once you have used Miro, using another software would fulfill your expectations.

Great Tool for UX Team!

What do you like best about the product?
Wireframe library is an excellent possibility for online Workshops. We are mainly using Miro for Ideation and sketching an Idea.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I can’t find the boards, which other companies share with us. As well I believe Uploading can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So, since we are all working from home, we realized how important it is to be connected and collaborate at the same time to get something done. Miro is not only good for workshops but also for organizing Teams and keep everything in one area. Very often, I had to go through all my files to find one I was look for to share with my team, now with Miro we just uploaded everything there.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Introduce Miro to everyone, with who you are working every closely. And share insides, updates, ideas and even your current status with them you will see how beneficial it is to be transparent.
