The best 2019 discovery. The tool that I use for everything now

What do you like best about the product?
Its simplicity. I even do presentations (kind of on a slide format) with Miro as I can share & co-create with an audience. Making it interactive rather than one way conversation
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost. And it has some little glitches or moments where it does strange things, but not a a big deal as I know how to avoid them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem: Co-reate with a remote team / Benefit: Efficiency on co-creating content or aligning with the team
Problem: Making the created content phisical / benefit: I can export as pdf and print pòsters created on Miro
Problem: Making the content visually engaging / Benefit: I can import nearly all formats
Problem: I need to document every step of a project / Benefit: I can create my own mental model (structure) on Miro
Problem: Document for regulatory purpose (medical & healthcare projecte) / Benefit: I I can share all the content organised chronologically with the Quality team
Problen: I can not drag and drop videos. I need to add links. I understand this way is more storage efficient, but as they are videos with content that can not be shared outside the organisation, I can not place them in a platform like vimeo and then place the link on Miro / Benefit: For the moment not solved, if the video is short I do a GIF and then place it on the borad. Again our need is linked to having all the content in one place
Problem: Content scattered in different platforms and supports / Benefit: Every material created for a project is in one singe board, so every team member can access it anytime
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start using it!

Test Review

What do you like best about the product?
Miro boards are incredibly flexible and one of my favorite things is the ability to collaborate in real time and to timebox sessions. You can easily set a timer, use post it notes, draw out ideas, write notes etc. and everyone can be participating and contributing at the same time without disrupting someone else. It has helped our workshops, brainstorming, and agile sessions immensely and led to more team creativity as a whole during these remote times. Their template library is a helpful resource to have as well. Another great feature is the ability to have cross-team sessions despite people not being Miro users and still participate in those sessions - it's allowed us to bring in many people across the organization and some of them have started bringing Miro into their teams as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to find something I dislike about Miro - if I had to say anything it would be that as a UX designer, it's common for me to want to draw wireframes during a session and Miro isn't the quickest or easiest at dropping in simple wireframes or shapes to create mockup ideas. It's much better at handling text, notes, links, etc. When I want to wireframe, I'll usually go out to Whimsical or Sketch and then drop it back into Miro because Miro does handle images and visual links well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When COVID hit and we all went remote, it hit my Product team pretty hard because we were such a collaborative team in the office. We often jumped into conference rooms to whiteboard out ideas or sketch out a flow. I used to run workshops, and affinity map or mental model with post-its on the walls, and losing that in-person discussion was really tough. Zoom calls didn't help because it blocked the creative spirit of just visually dropping things onto a whiteboard. So when we brought in Miro, it helped us bring back that collaboration despite not being in the same location. Now we handle team meetings, project inceptions and kickoffs, retros, design reviews, product roadmaps, team workshops, and many other sessions are all in Miro. In many ways, it's taken over our more traditional documents folders in Google Drive because it's easy to store everything in one place and you can lay it out exactly as you want in Miro without the constraints of a document or spreadsheet. Overall, visual diagrams and thought processes tell the story better and it's made communicating more effective. Can't speak highly enough!

We started using Miro for remote collaborative work, now we cannot work without it

What do you like best about the product?
Our team was already using Miro prior to the lockdown, but just for brainstorming sessions.
When the lockdown came, we decided that Miro would be a good software to help with remote collaboration. And we were so right. We started to explore the capabilities of the platform and every week we would discover new ways that Miro could help us work better as a team.
Right now, Miro is the main software for every project we manage.
It solves multiple use-cases, from brainstorming to planning, from strategy to prototyping.
We've also reduced the use of other tools because Miro replaced them for the most part; this highly increased productivity since we now have a centralized place for everything related to each project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Miro feels too heavy on loading times and computer CPU, it's almost impossible to have 2 open boards at the same time.
The windows installable app is highly instable and crashes frequently.
One feature that is still underdeveloped is the mindmap tool that compares poorly to other standalone mindmap tools, we hope a future release would improve this feature.
The audio/video features work ok for up to 4 people, above that we tend to switch to another conference platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro for business model canvas, brand sprints, brainstorming sessions, agile management, weekly and monthly planning, prototyping landing pages and apps, basically we use it for everything project related. It's the main repository for everything related to each project.
The default templates and Miroverse (templates from the community) are a goldmine to increase our efficiency and creativity. We've discovered many new exercises, frameworks, and canvas that we didn't knew about. That allowed us to solve problems and collaborate in many different ways.
Inspired by the Miroverse templates, we are now also developing our own repository of templates that we came up with.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
At first, Miro seems to have a high learning curve since it solves so many different use-cases. Try to start just by exploring with brainstorming features and post-it to get comfortable with it. Pretty soon, you and your team will feel comfortable exploring the templates and understand the many use-cases available to simplify your team work.

It is super interactive, you can understand each other better than just explaining with words.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the colors and the shapes that you can use. Also that you can link a lot of parts and understand the flow of information.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can´t select a group of objects with my mouse, I have to click on each of them and then click con group to have all selected, that is really annoying for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with graphics so I can explain my ideas easily just drawing in MIRÓ. The best benefit is that everyone can collaborate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you like to work in groups or teams,Miro is the best solution everyone can join in and collaborate, it is very fun to use.

Heaven sent for scrum mastering remotely!

What do you like best about the product?
I can facilitate a variety of workshops remotely and be creative in making them engaging.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the folder maintenance is usable, it's not as intuitive as most UIs like in GSuite or Mac/Win OS. It feels harder to keep track of different boards but not too bad that I lose track. I end up using the search function a lot in this case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Group and Team facilitation. Being able to guide groups into decision making and lean discussions using visual facilitation activities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Looking forward to the day when we can update jira tickets's status dynamically if we move it to an area so that we can build an autonomous kanban board that everyone can simultaneously move.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business, experience and service design

2020 was a little easier with Miro

What do you like best about the product?
Make collaborating with my team super easy. Dispite being seaperated during the pandimic, I was able to start a new job remotely and still introduce my new team to design thinking, and design sprints through virtual workshops on Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love all the feature but find it can be a bit overwelming for team members not familiar with the tool. Maybe allow board owner/admin to dumb down the tools for particular users or all visitors in a workshop. Select which tools show and which don't with ability to easily toggle them on when needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use it to solve so many challenges, regardless of size. Largest benefit I've found in all uses has been the ability to help everyone visuallize their thoughts and discussion and then priorizie into actionable take-a-ways.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Amazing tool but remember some of your participats may not be as comfortable as you'll become. So take time to learn best ways to onboard your team.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is really helpful. The idea of a shared board is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing and the sharing options are not that great. Sharing is a little complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing ideas. Sharing ideas with teams. Moving everything i use to have on physical boards.
