Best collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Miro boars are friendly and intuitive for users. There are variety of tools to pre-set the board in an effective way that makes the workshop efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licenses are expensive, so we have to opt for a minimum no of free licenses required to set up the boards. However, all other users can still contribute for free during the workshop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration across multiple locations in the world for ideation workshops. We have identified massive pipeline of opportunities that are currently being validated with the business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not everyone needs a full license. People setting up the board require full access in relation to ideation/brainstorming type workshops.
essential collaborative and creative tool
What do you like best about the product?
I started using Miro in 2017. Ease of use and robust (well designed) tools have made this my choice for personal planning and creative work. It's also been the go to tool for working with teams on projects from design thinking processes to sprints to planning. It's so easy to bring in other team members and guests. The learning curve is really short. I've yet to hit a wall with this tool. In fact, as an Adobe products and especially Illustrator user, I've found I can intuitively work on the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's challenging to find real issues because over the past few years they have improved the product consistently. I've found the desktop app easier to use than mobile but updates have helped there. The tool could be pricey compared to some other options. I do wish the search feature searched text in all boards. It seems limited now. Discussions could be better. We tend to post sticky notes and are not sure who said what.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work on a globally dispersed team. The number one job is addressing the fact that we cannot work in the same room on a whiteboard. A digital space to collaborate and work asynchonously is invaluable. I've used it for my personal projects to plan and think through them. At any point, someone can see the board and join the process or at least know where it is. The problems are mostly media strategy, marketing, product development, and working through sprint processes for challenges.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the free version and work on an actual project.
Collaborative and effective tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is very intuitive for users. It has some pre-determined canvas that helps to facilitate working sessions for business or study. It has many characteristics that allow the work to feel real.
What do you dislike about the product?
Trials are few and sometimes it is not easy to identify updates of the platform. It would be easier if you have notification in the mail (newsletter)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped me to facilitate seminars at my PhD and to have collaborative brainstorm sessions with colleagues from my work. Also it provide tools to make everyone feel part of the discussion
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Establish the goal of the activity/session and how Miro complements your goal.
Collaboration without limits
What do you like best about the product?
We've used Miro for many years from internal planning to running workshops for our clients with brand strategy, message mapping, workflows, and even app design process. The latest version of Miro enables us to collaborate with others without needing to reference different emails for files, notes or assets. We can link them all inside one place and review on the spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of anything that is a deal-breaker for me. Over the years Miro has continually added more resources and templates that have improved the experience!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Miro internally to plan campaigns and benchmarks for the process. And with our client work, we use Miro to run workshops, training, brand strategy, brand development overview, and even collaboration on ideation development. Most of all, it's allowed our fully remote company to collaborate more efficiently with our clients.
ideal tool for visually managing processes
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, templates for most necessities.
The ability to generate professional looking documents makes a big difference.
Finally, learning one tool that accomplishes many tasks saves time.

What do you dislike about the product?
Limited android app. Steep learning curve concerning organizations, teams, projects, different plans. The price is steep for international clients. Lacks Linux app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clearly documenting processes of level I trauma center. The benefit is that the output is actually used by the team. Managing the implementation of a new fire brigade
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Visual approach is very useful for organizations that deal with tight deadlines.
Great for remote teams
What do you like best about the product?
Miro helps our remote team visually brainstorm without having to be in person. It has also been beneficial for creating and running workshops because you can start a video meeting right within the board.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the video meetings that are created from within the miro board can be finicky. I have had trouble with being booted out of the meeting several times in one session and having to refresh my page to re-join.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Miro helps discuss high-level strategy since it allows you to have a visual representation of how everything links together. It is also nice that I can go into my organization's Miro account and look at other department's work to stay updated on what is happening across the company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend exploring the different templates that miro already has available for your needs. There are many to choose from, and I am sure I have much more to explore myself!
A flexible and versatile tool for team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Miro offers an infinite whiteboard to brainstorm with team members on a project and provides many useful templates that help organize ideas. I like how Miro allows integration with other applications and seamlessly allows content from other websites to enhance existing information on the whiteboard. At present, I am using Miro to help with business model development and it's been great in providing my team and me the space and features to communicate our ideas clearly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro, while offering a lot of flexibility and versatility, is still ultimately virtual and so does not allow the same experience one would have on a real-life whiteboard. It's an essential tool for teams to collaborate and brainstorm while working remotely but doesn't offer the free-hand capabilities of an actual whiteboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Miro to share ideas and brainstorm with my team while we are all working remotely. It has proven to be an excellent tool for developing a business model and for creating a project timeline.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Attend the introductory webinar on how to use the tool. It gives one a good overview of the available features and where to get help should you need it.
The best platform
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Miro is the variety of templates and the facility to share with colleagues. It's advantageous to make blueprints, prototypes, mind maps, and a bunch of other things.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the thing I dislike in Miro is that the free version only allows editing three whiteboards simultaneously and could exist more variations of tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I' am solving problems of my internship and college with Miro; I gain too much time using the whiteboards to make resumes of my lessons, mind maps, and other people can understand my reasoning.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The more you use it, the easier and more practical it gets.
Useful tool for capturing ideas for meetings and workshops
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, with multiple templates and themes for whatever occassion or situation you might need it for. Ideal for mapping out ideas and was of particular use as a research planning development tool. Would reccommend it to anyone looking to capture the important components of a workshop or meeting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not many down sides to this application. The interface is fairly intuitive, but requires some time to practice with the interface as it isn't apparent how things work initially. But the same can be said of any application in this day and age. Overall I have no problems with the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This application allows our participating research staff to have their ideas applied and noted in a workshop or meeting without having to speak or prepare material prior to the event. It also allows the organizer to capture a better overall view of ideas and concepts. This benefits all staff involved making contributions heard and ideas captured from everybody involved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Spend some time getting familiar with the interface and getting to know which setting you would like to use.
The perfect tool for making complex structures understandable, editable, and sharable.
What do you like best about the product?
When working with complex interconnected structures, Miro makes it easy to design them, and ease of editing is saving me a lot of time compared to using paper or an editor not specifically tailored for this kind of work.
I also enjoy, besides the basic mind map I use most of the time, the option to upload your pictures, collaboration, vast workspace, and being able to use different kinds of boards and templates such as kanban, app, or website wireframes to name a few.

What do you dislike about the product?
Probably the only feature that I am currently missing is the ability to write hidden descriptions.
With complex structures, you want them to be readable and position them in a way so that they wouldn't take up too much space. Sometimes, you want to write your own short but needed descriptions, but to do that, I occasionally have to write them into the node header.
Still, this drawback isn't very irritating, and maybe there is a solution to my problem, but I wasn't able to find it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, I am using Miro in the development phase of my web software project at the university. Easily managing different aspects of the project, and being able to share the progress with my supervisor is incredibly helpful.
I will certainly continue using it outside of the university as well.
