Nice and very usefull templates and tools
What do you like best about the product?
Building a project using wireframes is so easy with the wireframe library it helped me show my stakeholders how the product would look. Also, the templates for UX research are well diagramed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had some trouble in the past leaving a team and preserving a copy of the work, even creating a new board. I had to create a new account and start from zero. Maybe a export feature would be helpfull.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I save a lot of time using UX research templates, making a low fidelity prototype is very easy, I feel like I'm more productive and can focus better on other tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you, like me, are users that mostly code but need to fast prototype or make diagrams well presented, Miro will save you a lot of effort making templates, selecting colors, spacing elements, and more.
A feature i look fordward to use is the scrum poker, I have been triying to use some websites that are suposed to help with that but did not worked well, hope Miros way work way better even with a free version.

Miro is the best tool for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
People can simultaneously work in the same Miro Board and collaborate on whiteboards, mindmaps and diagrams. You can also pin people to your view, making it fantastic to present inside Miro without sharing your screen directly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Miro Application makes my MacBook run wild - but the online version works the same, so that is nothing to complain about. It would only be a shortcut for getting faster to your boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past, we have discussed topics in Teams and Zoom sessions. The difficulty in here is, that only one person can share and it gets more and more complicated to follow when multiple persons are speaking up at the same time. With Miro they can choose whether they speak or directly make adjustments on whatever you are working on.
The app can be used for virtually every area of life and work!
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about using Miro is the lightness of the application, even with the immense amount of functions, it doesn't weigh the computer down and so it can stay open without problems while working. In addition, the availability of templates with different methodologies greatly speeds up the creation process.
What do you dislike about the product?
As much as it is a complete application, I believe that it should have focus. So, I think the presentation, chat, and video call functions can hinder the application's development since they are pretty bad compared to those already available in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems regarding the construction of ideas with the team, where the tool enables centralization of activities developed in different frames on the same board.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a lightweight tool that takes on the role of many other tools and is easy to use, use Miro.
Miro got me my Master's Degree, and is now helping me at work!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to collaborate over Miro. Boards can be private or public, and anyone can contribute (regardless of age and technology experience). I used Miro to present my graduate architecture thesis, and my thesis committee members were able to help me by reviewing my drawings on Miro ahead of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that pdfs could be uploaded containing any font. As a creative, it messes with a presentation when Miro changes the fonts after I have uploaded them. Could this issue be due to copyrights?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to solve all design decisions in school and now at work. I've realized how easy it is to work with a team remotely. Our team uses Miro even when we are all in the same room together!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learn all the tips and tricks because they're beneficial. It can do more than you think! (Cropping, uploading, frames, etc., however, it isn't overly complicated).
Improved Product Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
It is great how more collaborative our team calls have been since we implemented Miro. We are able to brainstorm more effectively, share ideas more smoothly, and work together in real-time as if we were in the same room together. Since sharing it with our different teams, like marketing, we have had better cross collaboration as well! Would recommend it to anyone looking for more creative and smooth ways to work together remotely!
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike about Miro. The templates provided in their gallery are ok, but more often than not we end up creating our own boards for our specific project or call initiatives. I have not downloaded the mobile app or explored the mobile capabilities, but that is something I will have to do as well, I'm sure it would be helpful!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we have started working remotely, we have been looking for more ways to collaborate in real-time together. Especially now that we are working to be more PLG, this has given us much more bandwidth to work together on ideating and new feature initiatives. I would also recommend using the polling feature to make quick decisions when a lot of people are on a specific call. Makes it easy to think of a solution and brings up potential roadblocks you may have not originally thought of!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start with a template, but customize it for your own needs. Don't be afraid to start from scratch. Introduce Miro across different teams for some great cross-collaboration. Use the polling feature to make some quick decisions within your team.
Versatile and evolving tool for collaboration, presentation, and productivity
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is versatile. I can use it at every stage of my projects (brainstorming, drafting, analyzing, presenting, etc). I appreciate that the company is continually making updates to make the tool better and fit for different needs. I not only use if for my work, but also for personal purposes. The vastness of the boards allow me to be flexible and creative-- knowing I can always re-order, edit, or adjust how I'm thinking about my data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to organize folders within Miro to organize boards that you've starred. Currently, they're all in one section "starred boards" and it's getting a bit crowded and disorganized. I enjoy using the "projects" feature to organize boards, but I use that feature for organizing miro boards shared across teams.
I would also like to be able to link miro boards in my google folder. There's a way to do this now, but unfortunately, I can only add each miro board to 1 folder at a time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping me, as a UX Researcher, analyze interviews. The boards give me the flexibility to organize customer needs in a way that's accessible, understandable, and actionable to the rest of my team. Sometimes a google doc or PowerPoint doesn't cut it. Miro lets me work with creative and visual people in a more fun way.
Great for remote teams and solo thinking
What do you like best about the product?
It is instant. I can collaborate with my colleagues in real-time, no matter where they are located. We can brainstorm effectively without any noticeable delay. I also use it by myself when I need to organize my thoughts. It helps to be able to spread the information out and rearrange my ideas. And it is always there. I can share the link with colleagues or reference back to it at any time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. One thing that I recommend when doing a brainstorm or workshop on Miro is to have a moderator who kind of controls the board. This person should be the only person moving stickies around and setting the timer otherwise, it can get a little chaotic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for workshops. It helps with design thinking and general ideation sessions. Unlike a real-life whiteboard, the most significant benefit is that it is always there. The file stays organized the way it was when you last left it. With a whiteboard, you always have to take a picture to see it exactly as it was.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As I said above, have a moderator control the board to minimize the chaos.
The best collaboration tool you didn't know you needed
What do you like best about the product?
- It works exactly how your mind thinks it works; you don't need any training to use it.
- It has a great many themes to choose from, so you don't have to start from scratch if you're doing a retro, a brain dump, a brainstorm, a team jam etc.
- They allow you to administer voting on created elements on the screen, which is particularly useful for retros.
- You can add soothing background music during a brainstorm, top feature!
- You can add timers for things like voting, having discussion sessions etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
The dialog that pops up when you login, to show you recent announcements. Users should not have to see that every time. They can instead opt to view by toggling their notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for distributed team collaboration. It gives the (almost) same level of flexibility as to when the team is in person.
All you need to collaborate online, and yet you can keep it as simple as you like
What do you like best about the product?
Having an online whiteboard available, with lots of options that help bring online workshops together, or create a shared results log after live sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to invite others to collaborate without paying lots extra, even just for short sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems solved with Miro: online brainstorming and organising visually.
Benefits realised: having a log of what we've addressed in workshops which still feels like it was in the room itself. And even created a storyline of all feedback during a research project

Much more than a whiteboard application
What do you like best about the product?
Most versatile and flexible collaboration application I've ever seen. Low learning curve and easy to understand controls. 'Infinite zoom' allows you to add more information without having to reorder/move a lot of shapes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe a bit 'nerdy' but I miss some scripting possibilities like resetting shape locations to some default location based on some click or date/time event. Sometimes I find myself dragging/moving shapes when my intention is to pan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualize processes, quickly draw up what is in my (teams) mind and to help as catalyst to come to solutions. To keep all information about a certain topic together, including links, text notes, pictures etc.
