Templates and easy onboarding for clients and C-suite

  • March 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- great UX for onboarding clients and c-suite who are time poor and tool-annoyed
- excellent variety and quality of templates
- reasonable free tier and reasonable cost for paid licenses
- great range of tools for workshops, architecture diagrams, tagging, deliverable outputs
- efficiency and centrality - I can use Miro for a good variety of purposes, from in-house workshops to client workshops to personal brainstorming and client outputs
What do you dislike about the product?
- export functionality, quality and file type is limited
- importing templates from the miroverse vs. templates can be fussy
- not as useful as other products for wireframe demos for more sophisticated graphic design
- integrations can be overhyped - Jira integration is pushed heavily but not super functional
- comments from clients and teams aren't as useful or framed up as other products
- insufficient hierarchy in boards, layering and locking within a board is frustrating and slow
- creating a professional output can be janky
- project management and agile functionality is heavily pushed but not super useful or functional
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
collaborative whiteboard, excellent UX and onboarding, affordable, useful template library so I don't have to design them on my own each time from scratch

A game changer for campaign planning, GTMs and collaboration

  • March 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of the platform, an the flexibility of the solution makes it truly feel like your own workspace or whiteboard. There's never a time I feel that I'm too restructured by the platform to get out from Miro what I need, when it comes to planning our strategies, campaigns or just simply generating ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I haven't come across any downsides for me personally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is my go to solution for campaign planning and customer journey mapping - I love how fluid it is, so we can put ideas down and easily change them without much effort. Additionally, we can do this as a team as many of us work remotely, we can all jump on the same board and collaborate with ease.

I also use the templates regularly, which provides a lot of inspiration and speeds up the process of drawing processes or creating a workspace for collaboration.

I’m already really impressed with how well it supports collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
The virtual whiteboard feels intuitive—you can easily add sticky notes, sketches, or even quick ideas in real time. My teammates and I can jump into a board at the same time, drop comments, and watch each other’s changes instantly, which keeps everyone on the same page without a ton of back-and-forth messaging. It’s cut down on endless email threads and made our brainstorming sessions a lot more interactive.

Visually, it’s been a great way to organize my thoughts and tasks. Creating quick diagrams or flowcharts is straightforward, and even simple color-coding and grouping make larger projects easier to follow. One feature that’s saved me a lot of effort is the collection of ready-made templates created by the Miro community—picking a template that fits my project and customizing it on the fly feels like a real time-saver. Even though I haven’t tapped into every advanced feature, Miro has already proven really helpful for keeping our projects organized and our team in sync. It just feels like a natural fit for any group looking to brainstorm and share ideas visually.
What do you dislike about the product?
One minor downside is that if you’re not careful, the boards can get cluttered pretty fast. It helps to have someone managing or “tidying up” the board every so often, especially if you have a lot of people adding content. But overall, it feels like a natural fit for any group looking to brainstorm and share ideas visually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me tackle a few key challenges in my day-to-day work. Especially getting everyone aligned - especially when team members are working remotely or people from different organizations (outsourcing). It’s much easier to keep everyone on the same page without juggling multiple documents or endless email threads. Also, the ready-made templates save me time when I need to jump into project collaboration or create quick visuals, eliminating the need to start from scratch. Finally, it simplifies the process of visualizing projects' scope. Instead of trying to explain complex context through text alone, I can have everything out on a board, use diagrams or flowcharts, and my colleagues will add their own inputs or feedback.

What do you like best about the product?
Having come from a non-technical background and part of a tech company, it is a easy tool to get the hang of and seeing those with experience amazes me - with new AI features its only getting better (and easier)
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit confusing to start, but once you work out the basics it is easy to learn more
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mapping business process and possible ideas on how to improve them

Miro for Collaboration among the AEC group

  • March 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to collaborate between professions and companies and ability to create creative designed boards. It is fairly intuitive. I do like that you can look through the most recent changes and that not all contributors need to have the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could export the boards to a pdf or show the boards in a presentation mode while still being able to edit them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping all parties to see the project and be able to provide feedback that everyone can see on their own time. This cuts down the need for finding meeting times where everyone is available.

A great tool for collaborative ideation and documentation

  • March 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro offers many templates and editing options, while still being very easy to pick up. I found it suitable for daily use both alone and in teams. Furthermore, it integrates well in the context of a larger project thanks to the ability to link to specific sections, as well its reliable export feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
While using Miro is mostly effective, what creates some friction are the numerous bugs and other unwanted behaviour, including messy snapping and a few visual quirks. These issues force me to use certain workarounds, but are overall manageable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I found Miro great for visual documentation – communicating ideas and specifications with the rest of the team.
