Great platform for collaboration and organization

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration tool is so good and easy to use in real time, you save time and boards are good looking, it has a great tutorial for first users and that way you can easily understand all the tools that miro has to offer. It also has a lot of templates with colorful options and when you are done, you can export your files
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't name your boards they might get lost in your page, sometimes when you are logged in your main menu, there are no images to show you your previous work and you need to open every board to find just one, my recommendation is don't forget to name all of your boards
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can organize my ideas in mind maps using the pre made boards, the platform has a tool that can order all of your work automatically and as I started using Miro, I saved lots of time by using that tool, it's so good.
Another tool that helped me a lot is the collaboration one, using that one made my work easier cause I interacted in real time with colleagues
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think Miro is a great platform and has a lot of easy tools that you can use, it is colorful and collaboration tool is nice

The only space I need for visual collaboration

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Miro is that I can kick off a workshop or a meeting with the team without any onboarding. It's easy to use for newcomers but heavy users might benefit from shortcuts and advanced tools. I also like the pace of how the Miro team is developing the product and making it even more powerful. The second thing I love about Miro is the speed. I have projects with hundreds of elements on the screen and it doesn't affect performance of the application both in app and on the web.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few minor things that I dislike about Miro are poorly designed arrows for diagramming, default color palette, and fonts. My deliverables are created in Miro, so I'd like to make them good looking and match the design system of my client. As for me, Figma has a better setup for that. Default templates are not that useful for me as well. And as long as Miro develops, it's getting cluttered with more features and tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a consultant, I help companies to design better products and experiences. Miro helps me to set up a shared space to co-create with the team and to develop a shared vision about both the problem and possible solutions. The best thing about having a shared space for a design problem is that a few months later you can look back and connect the dots. I can clearly show to the team how the final results are connected with previous artifacts, insights and questions. This approach removes all the 'magic' from the design process and makes it comprehensible for non-designers as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I tried Mural, UXPressia, Figma Jam, and a few others tools for visual collaboration and opted for Miro. I work as a consultant, so my working setup is different from that of agency or in-house design teams. Think of your workflow with teammates when choosing a tool and check the pricing that fits your setup.

Great for develop ideas

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the level of interaction that Miro allows for teamwork in real-time, which is very valuable when it comes to monitoring the collaborative work of my students. This platform is very visual; it helps the development of ideas and also to take into account the details of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seems that the feature of the cam in teamwork is just for the paid version, not sure about that. I used it as a trial for 14 days, and then when I create my educational account, it disappears from options. So far, I haven't found others downsides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am working on understanding problems and developing research ideas with my students. I have found that using specific templates has helped them to focus their approaches and to be more detailed, and to take into account the relationship between the parts of a problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an excellent tool for teamwork, highly recommend!

Boost your online collaboration with Miro

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The pandemic shut down our company's in-person training events. Zoom can help with instruction but falls short of genuine interaction and dynamic content facilitation. Enter Miro: with its online collaboration tools, we could recreate many of the classroom experiences with Miro rapidly. Our workshop participants collaborated outside of the assigned 'classroom' time to boost interactions and learn on their time. Miro makes it easy for learning leaders to set up boards, manage participant interactions and drive learning engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Infrequent or first-time workshop participants found the navigation difficult - especially those using non-mac computers. Miro users would benefit from a tutorial on navigating boards for the first time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online workshop facilitation: with Miro, our participants are engaged, learn through practice, and have more excellent retention than instruction alone.

An amazing tool, not just a collaborative canvas

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its versatility. I use it for Design Thinking, Design Sprint, Retros, Planning, as my personal creative canvas, as a moodboard, as a project documentation and sometimes for some schematics desing that leads de wireframing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being 100% online brought me some problems. I live in Argentina and its not that impossible not having internet connection. This is the major pain point. As a designer, i would love to have some design features as dropshadows, more fonts, etc...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
That i can have everything in one place. I can have moodboards, flowcharts, desings, Google Docs, external links... everything! And... also you can make collaborative session upon the canvas. Its really powerfull
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Using it as you need. It will adapt to.

Explained to myself and others through visualisation

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I started using miro when completing a test assignment for a new product. It was difficult for me to grasp the whole idea of the product, so I created a cjm with miro's help and it helped me significantly in understaning everytying I needed. Plus it looked impressive too.
They have a nice webinar for new user. Very helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
After joining a new company, hard to find the team I was to join and the various boards. Plus loging out of a team also took a while to find. None of the templates actually helped me so it was easier to stat out from scrath in each of the boards that I created.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understadning a product flow, a communicaton flow and visualizing it all in one place. After seeing it all in one place, it is easy to understand what clashes and needs improvement. Moreover, it's a great took to contastly return to when checking the user flow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it for process visualization and seeign how the work of different teams actually united into one.

Miro: my day to day work cornerstone

What do you like best about the product?
MIRO is super flexible. I can virtually do everything I need with the tool to record, structure and share my ideas. The integration with JIRA is a big plus for my job.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that under a MIRO project it is not possible to structure the board list. A très view (kind of folder structure ) would be great
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily visualy share anything with my team. They can then add their input. Afterwards we all see it living (being updated).
Whan something needs to be shared in a meeting, i can easily trabsform the frames in my board into slides. It is then super easy while presenting to adapt my board with the infos gathered during the meeting.
I gain a lot of time with the tool
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For me it is the best whiteboard++ tool on the market

Better than the real deal...

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, workshop documentation included without additional effort, even better than doing workshops onsite, flexible license model (when understood), great for all kind of online collaboration situations, lots of template to use in MIROverse
What do you dislike about the product?
Opening a link to a board opens MIRO in a browser even though the app is installed. License model seems to be easy but is quite complex and difficult to understand
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use MIRO for workshops with customers and internal seminars. In addition, we started using MIRO for trainings, as project boards, retrospectives, and even feedback sessions with employees
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you start using it, use the available training material. It's great and helpful in rolling MIRO out

Great for all kinds of digital & "phy-gital" work

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive: easy to get started and get going with navigation similar to PowerPoint and other wellknown programs.
Simple: easy to work within Miro for most people - great for firsttime users.
Extensive: infinite number of possibilities with add-ons (icons, wireframes, images, framework, templates etc) so you can go well beyond sticky notes
Multiple use cases: naturally designed to facilitate digital workshops, there are so many other options for using Miro - note-taking, desk research, research synthesis, project management, planning, moodboard, design sprints etc. etc. etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too much screen time - would be great to be able to get away from the screen, but still have the digital documentation that Miro is great for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Limitations to meet up - both internally in our company and externally with clients.
Possibility to work more free than in other program (PowerPoint, Keynote etc.)
Making digital work feel more creative.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Keep evolving the use into other use cases - there are so many different ways to get value out of Miro!

The best collaboration tool on the market

  • May 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is for me the best collaboration tool on the market. All the features are really well thought. I especially like the timer, the voting system, the ability to add comments. Everything is easy to use. When you are many on the same board, it does not seem to slow down. You can really collaborate and add elements to the board at the same time.
I also use it when I work alone. It is a great tool to organise my thoughts. Formatting is super easy and well thought through. Like how spaces and alignment are kept very neatly when you enlarge or reduce the size of multiple objects at the same time.

And Miro is also adding new valuable features all the time.

I use it multiple times per day and consider it the best tool for its purpose after having tried many others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much that I dislike. Some very minor things in the interface that I got to get used to. But nothing significant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can:
- Facilitate workshops online
- Collaborate to generate models, new ideas
- Brainstorm
- Use it at my Kanban board
- Design presentations
