The business life's canvas in the new normal

  • December 08, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to make complexity less complicated. One infinite space to collect all aspects, sources, reference points and fundamentals to solve a business challenge in a virtual team. Intuitive handling with tools and methods from the physical and digital world combined.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I need to create the "45 second onboarding to Miro" myself, which empowers participants of very large or spontaneous session "on the spot" to actively contribute to the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtual workshops. Concept design. Documenting entire discovery and design journey for strategy or content development.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Establish a community of power users and change agents for the roll-out

Flexible and Intuitive – collaboration in many different tastes.

  • December 07, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the main advantages is the desktop app compared to web clients, nevertheless, webbrowser can be used as well. There are many tools available and vast workspaces – practically unlimited space. Miro is a multipurpose tool, für presentations, groupwork, seminars, brainstorming, documenting ... allowing a mix of structure and unstructured data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The license schemes are somehow less helpful, if you are involved in different teams, because you need a licensed seat in any team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is a tool for different purposes: We use it as a typical whiteboard, but we also collect documents, links, papers into the miro boards, this makes it to a project hub. Presentations can be done out of Miro, in a flexible and dynamic way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro offers so many different ways to work with – best to play around with it, before you use it in an external project! Check the different license schemes, some aspects may be less intuitive – for instance, being in different teams affords a license in each of the teams.

The UX of Miro is wonderful and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
If i am in a team, i am not able to use my private space and documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mainly use Miro for white boarding mainly System designs and flow charts. The main benefit of Miro is the ease of access and active collaboration among team mates

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing - I love Miro. I really cannot think of a downside

Miro is my third brain hemisphere

  • December 04, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro's flexibility and intuitive controls allow me quickly to layout and explore ideas, while also enabling me to get organized. It's like my left and right hemispheres are working together.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to say because Miro is pretty robust... maybe the fact of not being able to use certain features depending on what type of documentation I started. Like mindmap and stickies not being able to connect in one place.
Oh, and it seems that Miro is not passing muster with the security audits for some clients. So it can't be used for some projects, forcing us to use other design collab products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Exploring problem space.
Outlining user flows.
Communicating to stakeholders and teammates.
Benefit: The ease of collaboration is amazing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro's flexibility and intuitive controls allow me quickly to layout and explore ideas, while also enabling me to get organized. It's like my left and right brain hemispheres are working together and now I have a third hemisphere.

Miro makes my work easier

  • December 04, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Is an agile, intuitive and flexible tool that allows to work with a lot of information in a visual and clear way. I use it A LOT in research phases as a research wall to centralize information from many sources which also facilitates collaboration between team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you or someone in your team delete something by mistake on the board, you don't have "auto savings" to restore previous versions, you have to download backups manually just in case.
And another pain, but less important is that if you put a lot of info, the page takes some time to load.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All in one place: Instead of having a lot of documents related with a project, now I put all the info on a board making it easy to find and work with it.
Share on real time: the team can see in real time the status of my research/work.
Team collaboration: Facilitates collaboration between team members by having a common place to work.
In your way: You have a lot of templates and tools to put the info in the way you want, there are no limits.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I encourage you to try the tool and see how useful it can be for your organization. I don't know of any other more complete tool on the market.

Easier to use than I thought

  • December 04, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The easy access to the board for the client I'm working with. You just press the "Share" button, copy the board link and voilà! It is really straight forward and clients who had never used Miro before were not confused at all. It matters a lot because if they find it confusing it will affect the whole session I'm facilitating. So this is crucial to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mindmap canvas could be improved a bit. The way it is now, it occupies a lot of space. Not that there is a lack of space, but I prefer when the branches are closer together.
It's a bit annoying when users inadvertently move frames because they simply hook the button of their mouse over the frame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the pandemia, I had to find a way to work with group of clients with which I usually meet in a conference room equiped with various white boards. I now have all the space I need AND I can easily save a copy of all the board I'm creating.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't let all the available features scare you. It is quite user friendly.
