Great tool for collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
1. Easy to access. Even the users who don't create a account and access. Some colleagues don't use Miro as often as we do, but sometimes we need to invite them to collaborate with us, we can just share the board link and they can access easily
2. Intuitive layout. Easy to start, barely need to read the instruction
3. Smooth, real-time
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't access without login like Mural. Mural is even easier to access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of the time we use it to collabrate with colleagues to have the online workshop. It benefits by letting everyone share their opinion easily. It is a good way to collect everyone's opinions, it helps facilitator to facilitate the discussion by collecting opinions, discussion, voting and organizing the opinions, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is easy to access and set up. The features are quite good for collaboration. Very smooth to colloborate.

Flexible/attractive collaborative tool

What do you like best about the product?
Use it for scheduling content development. Love a few things (a) that we can fluidly adjust it in real time (we get a lot of last-minute changes and requests) (b) that the space on the board is infinite, so you can create clusters of related schedules, brainstorms, moods, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was some kind of change log so it would be easier to see what had moved or been altered. We're a small team, so not a major issue, but if we grow, this would become more important.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Content scheduling. As opposed to traditional spreadsheet scheduling, we can easily visualize what is coming up and adjust it in real time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Bear in mind that the more images you upload, the slower to load it becomes.

Miro came to fill in a void created by the sudden change in the work culture

What do you like best about the product?
I can share the link of the boards with anyone in our organization and ask them to jump in and express their points of view or challenge any of the definitions the team made without having to explain how the tool works. I can easily translate the dynamics of being in a room playing around with post-it notes and whiteboards to a fully remote environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The aesthetics are not my favorite and probably the fact that we had to re-draw all our canvas into this new platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating with diverse groups of people, unlocking conversations about how we can address our customers' problems and create business value for our products. Miro is helping our teams by enabling co-creation, communication, maintaining a grade of versatility in the day to day work we do. On of the interesting benefits is that we can leave the workshop virtual room open for longer periods of time, people can come back and keep working or refining the ideas, or simply get up to date with the work done any time.

What do you dislike about the product?
Pictures copied over can take a while to load.. though that may be my own internet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
collaborating with team mates in all different locations, facilitating workshops entirely remotely.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s in one place, visual, collaborative, the templates, the possibility to link it to other docs/tools... and the best it’s the name of course ;-p I’m Spanish and I love Joan Miro ;-p
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, that’s why I gave it a 10. Only thing sometimes is annoying is that if you don’t want to lock the shapes anyone can move them by mistake when moving around the board
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Work collaboratively reometely in a very visual and easy way

    E-Learning

Miro has enabled a high-level of visual communication!

What do you like best about the product?
The templates are extremely helpful to start building out diagrams. I appreciate the snap feature of making connections between various shapes because it enables edits that don't require building the entire diagram. I also like that inviting people to collaborate is simple and doesn't require an account. Most everyone I've invited to collaborate was able to log in and begin work with ease. I also have appreciated the Learn and Inspire page and the tutorials and other guides that it provides. I have taken advantage of these pages several times when I was unsure of how to integrate certain features or how to fully utilize certain templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
One feature that I have found frustrating at times is how the sizing of text functions, specifically with sticky notes. The text appears too big at times, and too small at others. Many times I have run out of room on a sticky note and couldn't complete a thought. While realistic, it would be nice if the note would expand. The number of notifications that appear when I log in can be frustrating at times as the information they are sharing does not always seem relevant. I try to read through them, but often I am not even familiar with the features that have been updated so the notification loses its significance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to diagram workflows and large, high-level course designs with collaborators. Trying to do these things in other software programs would be next to impossible, but the easy-to-use nature of Miro allowed me to build out my ideas digitally and share them broadly. I have also seen instances where my peers were able to create highly-engaging group activities using Miro and their item upload feature to generate sticky notes for categorizing. I think this is an activity that I could implement in other areas, but I would need to do some further exploration of how to upload Excel files.

Awesome tool that really foster collaboration, in a fun and easy to use manner

  • November 19, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is incredibly easy and fun to use. In a context of accelerated digitalization of work, using Miro has made it easy for me to run remote workshops, every single time. Even more, I've seen other collaborators keep using Miro not only to collaborate with others, but also as a personal whiteboard and brainstorming tool. That is the best indicator that the tull proved valuable to them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I tend to use tags a lot when preparing a session, to pre-populate notes for different users. I wish there was a way to filter conent on any given tag, to clearly see how different users participated or approached the work. Adding tags to other elements onscreen would be useful too.

Having search within board, and across boards would also make it even greater.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running online collaboration sessions is the most frequent use. I've run workshops, brainbstorming sessions across departments, and even used it to present at a conference.

However I also use it as a personal notetaking app. It's starting to replace my love for Evernote (10 year user here!!).

Keeping my team in sync is alos a fequent use. I desing an dplan my planing, and share my frames with my team during remote and in person sessions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It facilitates remote and in person creative work, by allowing people to collaborate on ideas. It has a really shallow learning curve, work looks great on screen, and it is actually fun to use.

Great tool for team collaboration and individual brainstorming

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Love the ability to do live collaboration sessions. Love the ability to keep expanding the board, i.e. do a quick sticky note session then move straight into wire-framing in the same board. We use Miro both for live sessions, but also as an archive of past planning sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost can add up if you need to bring in large numbers of outside contributors. But very cost efficient within our internal team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we've solved with Miro is having our team collaborate in whiteboard sessions while working remotely. We haven't found another tool that comes as close to replicating the in-person whiteboard experience as Miro.

I also like using Miro for individual brainstorming/mind-mapping. Sometimes it is just easier to throw all the ideas in and be able to arrange and rearrange, vs. working in a doc on or paper.

We've also created a board with all of our website elements as blocks, so our team can use Miro to do quick wireframing sessions.

Overall, I would say that Miro has been one of two tools that have been most instrumental in our team making the switch to working remotely / partially remote.
