Great collaboration tool for UX writers!
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud-based collaboration. The ability to overlay copy onto images so as writers, we have a feel for how much space we have for copy, the visual hierarchy of the page or screen, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some minor flaws like the ability to add outlines around imported images, the way text can (or can't) be formatted depending on the "box" type. But overall, there is much more good than bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Copy recommendations for web pages on desktop and mobile devices. The ability to export specific sections of the Miro board into high-quality PDFs is invaluable for communicating recommendations that are easy for non-UX teams to understand.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the plunge. It's well worth it.

Good substitute for - and sometimes even enhancement over - physical workshops
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use: even new users will get the hang of it quickly (even though navigation needs a little getting used to).
Beautiful results: The developers thought of many details to make the result look prettier and more clutter-free than for instance designing a slide in Powerpoint

What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation is a little difficult at first. Also, I still don't understand their membership model, which is quite complicated. But now that I have a premium membership for some of my boards, I can work with everybody I need to, so I don't care too much anymore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ideation; visualising complex systems for which Powerpoint is too ugly and paper to cumbersome & unflexible; to collect all of our workshop results over a couple of months in one place.
It's great! It's easy to use and very good for collaboration. I cant imagine work without MIRO.
What do you like best about the product?
The collaboration aspect of the software
What do you dislike about the product?
Only paid users can edit your board which can be a pain when someone does not have a paid account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To easily collaborate with my workmates.
Incredible for workshop collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Miro provides a digital platform that is easy for team members to pick up and use & is excellent visualization and collaboration on projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you first open Miro it shows all projects that all your team are working on instead of limiting to the ones I need to see, having a large number of different teams using this platform it is pretty overwhelming when you first startup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I primarily used it as a training tool to increase the digestibility of information over other training tools like google docs, the other use is for project management being able to visualize sections of the project and who is assigned and working on which aspect.
Great collaboration tool and presentation tool!
What do you like best about the product?
We use this a lot for presentation and collaboration. Like having a white board in front of the client. Great for sharing ideas and thoughts across. Not being able to travel affected how we present to the client but this serves as a huge bridge and makes up for not being able to be in front of our target audience. This also gives us the opportunity to lay out every thing in front of the client and go thru images and plans one by one before we assemble everything down into either powerpoint or indesign as a final presentation package.
The ability to take the audience from one image to the next is a lot better in most scenarios and to ofcourse be able to take notes and sketch over stuff makes it even better.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not really dislike but the sketch function can be improved. If possible maybe we can make this feel smoother more like Sketchbook.
PDF files needs to be converted to jpg files to show properly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working from home and not being able to sit down with peers and colleagues was tough but this platform helps us collaborate. It was always easy to be seated next to a colleague and be able to sketch out ideas and even small details to share certain design aspects. This definitely helps put a point across!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Our clients have and consultants have seen us use and do presentations on Miro and we have recommended Miro to them already!
A great way to plan, visualize, and socialize your work
What do you like best about the product?
The user experience and collaboration are tied for number 1.
UX - The placement of key features and functions are intuitive which makes it easy to build and share ideas.
Collaboration - Super easy to work with others on the same board to collaborate on ideas and workflows. Works great in real-time as well and is invaluable for remote meetings.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are aesthetic limitations to Miro. Unless you upload custom images and designs, the lines, shapes, and text native to Miro are all you have to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps solves problems related to/supports the delivery of:
- Socializing ideas and workflows
- Strategic planning
- Tactical planning
- Campaign/project validation
- Collaboration
- Designing mockups
- Mindmapping

Useful Whiteboard
What do you like best about the product?
I have always liked to share ideas on whiteboards with others, and Miro is a useful online whiteboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of using Miro would appear to be not having private boards where I can draft my ideas before sharing with others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing documents to mark up. Post-its are easier than endless comments in Word docs.

Give it a go
Essential tool for remote collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Miro has been instrumental in facilitating group brainstorming during the COVID lockdown. A tool I'll use long after our return to office.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is slightly longer than I'd like, though the more robust the tool, the longer the learning curve generally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've held several highly-collaborative brainstorming sessions, retrospectives, group planning exercises, etc. that I can't imagine running without Miro in this remote era.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is no competitor for remote collaboration that is as robust and as much of a joy to use as Miro
Super helpful tool for many things, and great for working remotely!
What do you like best about the product?
- Very easy to use for anyone—it's not targeted to a very specific industry/role, many people in an organization can make use of it, as it's a whiteboarding tool
- Great for remote work, especially now when many people are working remotely during the pandemic
- Very collaborative
- Great for streamlining processes (stakeholders reviews, showing process, creating flows, creating both low and high-fidelity wireframes, card sorting, creating information architectures, scrappy documentation, brainstorming sessions, etc.)—the possibility is literally endless.
- There are many templates within the app, and you can create your own as well for your team/organization
- Overall, it's an essential tool for my team at my company and for my freelance work

What do you dislike about the product?
- It can slow down your computer quite a bit, especially while you're on a Zoom call
- The drawing tool can be a little more intuitive (tried to draw a rough storyboard on Miro and it was quite challenging and time-consuming)
- Not the biggest issue, but it is a little slower than being able to draw on a physical whiteboard when brainstorming with the team, but the upside is that it's documented and editable

- Processes are a lot more streamlined
- Great alternative to a physical whiteboard, especially for remote workers
- Stakeholder reviews are a lot more efficient (for designers), as I can post all of the versions of my design all in one place, and stakeholders can go in and add their feedback
- Brainstorming is much easier with the team, as we can create various templates for different types of brainstorm sessions
- Instead of using a physical whiteboard to sketch in a collaborative environment, we use Miro to sketch out ideas and do wireframing sessions with the team

Certainly helped in these interesting times
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to share images and pdf document live.
What do you dislike about the product?
After lost of use, the board can be very busy and slow to load. Some features to help organize would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unable to meet in person and pin up designs on the wall, Miro helps replace this.
