Intuitive and Collaborative, but AI Needs Refinement
What do you like best about the product?
I love the user interface of Miro because it is really great and beginner-friendly, which helps me create diagrams related to my studies without any hassle. The ease of use is fantastic, especially with the convenient drag and drop feature for shapes, making complex diagram creation straightforward and less time-consuming compared to other apps like draw.io. I appreciate the AI diagram maker as it is robust for certain types of diagrams, such as UML class diagrams and data flow diagrams, enhancing my efficiency and productivity. Additionally, the collaborative functionalities are incredibly beneficial as they allow me to work seamlessly and quickly with my classmates, streamlining our project workflows. I also value how Miro complements other tools like ChatGPT and Mermaid, which I use for research and visualization, affirming its role as an integral part of my toolkit.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the AI diagram-making feature in Miro needs improvement. It is currently limited to certain types of diagrams like UML class diagrams and data flow diagrams, and struggles with creating other major types of diagrams effectively. It would be beneficial if Miro could incorporate a structure similar to Mermaid or provide prebuilt templates for various types of diagrams. Additionally, the AI lacks the contextual understanding needed to cater to my specific diagramming needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Miro's user interface beginner-friendly, aiding in fast, collaborative diagram creation with ease of use and AI features, saving time over tools like draw.io.

I have been using Miro for around three years primarily for collaborative analysis sessions, online workshops, and storyboarding. I love how it facilitates live collaboration, allowing every participant to easily add their thoughts in real-time. Miro's interface is very intuitive and easy to use, which simplifies the process of collaboration. We often embed Miro into Teams calls, inviting clients to join in and actively participate, which is highly beneficial. Its visual and engaging nature makes it particularly effective for conducting online workshops. Additionally, I find the pre-built templates to be quite useful for swiftly organizing ideas. Overall, Miro helps us tremendously with organizing ideas and collaborating efficiently as a team, which enhances our productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I lack features in Miro that help me capture ideas in more detail, as it tends to remain quite high level. Additionally, the absence of AI capabilities to generate insights or summaries limits the potential efficiency gains. These improvements could significantly enhance the overall functionality and effectiveness of the platform.

Visually Engaging, Easy to Use, Needs Better Color Options
What do you like best about the product?
I deeply appreciate Miro's graphic designs, which significantly enhance the visual appeal of our production plans, not just for me but for others in the team as well. The ability to visualize dependencies in a clear and aesthetically pleasing manner has been immensely helpful in organizing and communicating complex projects for our company of 400 people. Furthermore, I enjoy the extensive library of graphic designs, shapes, and dependencies that Miro offers, allowing for creativity and efficiency in planning. These features contribute to making Miro a highly effective tool for our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the lack of color gradient options in Miro challenging, especially when I need to use multiple colors within a single shape. This limitation hinders my ability to creatively color-code and differentiate elements effectively. Additionally, I feel that there are limited integration options with other software tools like Excel, which restricts my workflow possibilities.
