Miro: A Remote Collaboration Game Changer
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is far and away the best tool i've used for creative & strategic collaboration when working remotely. Genuine game changer for working at pace with a team spread all over the place.
It's VERY easy to get the hang of, very easy to set up and implement, and has a feature set that allows you to do all the things you might want & struggle to do when working in a shared document - e.g. via sharepoint or Google workspace.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are very few downsides to Miro, in my view. It's a great product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working on creative problems for clients - concepting, copy writing, sharing visual stimulus.
Miro Boosts Team Brainstorming, But Free Version Limits Projects
What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love brainstorming on Miro and i do it almost everyday . The absence of barriers is fantastic and allows my team and me to accomplish great things together. The available templates help me save a lot of time when preparing for meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback I can mention is that the free version limits you to just three active projects. However, I do understand the reasoning behind this restriction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to visually organize my work, which helps boost my productivity.
Empowers Creative Teaching, Though Some Students Need Time to Adjust
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about using Miro is the seamless infinite looking whiteboard that gives me the freedom to create interactive lessons as a tutor. It's really easy to create vocabulary cards, grammar charts and use drag and drop features for mind maps. The students instantly love the visual and collaborative learning approach. I can also copy and paste images in the whiteboard instantly which is a great value add.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some students take a bit longer to navigate and find controls and tools needed to help them complete activities on the whiteboard. But it's just an initial learning curve and once they get used to it, it runs pretty smoothly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helped replace traditional paper worksheets with dynamic and engaging digital boards that also made language learning a lot more fun. I can create reusable lesson templates, personalize boards for each student, and track their understanding through collaborative exercises. Class time is more productive because students remain involved and active throughout. It has definitely helped increase student motivation and retention.
Great for Brainstorming, But Tablet App Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I find Miro to be easy to use and easy to learn more advanced concepts. It's perfect for brainstorming, organizing ideas, product design and development. It's my go-to tool for my work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tablet app version of Miro could be better, especially for diagramming workflows. Sometimes I have difficulty selecting shapes, arrows and moving tiles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business and product planning as well as visually communicating ideas
Intuitive and User-Friendly, But Facing Cheaper Competition
What do you like best about the product?
So easy to use and easy to share. Completely intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's been commoditized by a lot of other vendors and there are now cheaper versions that do much the same. That said, i'm still paying...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration with customers.
Excellent Collaboration, But Needs Stability Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the collaboration features. Using them reminds me of being back in school, participating in a charette or having desk crits around a pin-up board. The platform works well for presentations and project brainstorming, and it also supports live collaboration among consultants on a design team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the snap features in certain tools feel overly sensitive and can be difficult to manage, with lines sometimes snapping to images or boards unexpectedly. Additionally, the software tends to crash occasionally, especially when working with high-resolution or large-sized images.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool is great for remote collaboration, particularly when I am working and traveling simultaneously. It makes it easy to bring ideas together smoothly and allows me to keep a record of previous thoughts that could be useful later on. Additionally, it helps me track the progress of my projects.
Indispensable for Design and Collaborative Thinking
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Miro for five years mainly to organize my thoughts and prepare my work ahead of the design phase. I particularly appreciate the tool's quick learning curve, with features that have gradually evolved since we started using it, which facilitates continuous adaptation and integration into my projects. Miro offers an impressive ability to manage various media, such as large whiteboards with images, post-its, tables, and diagrams to outline flows. This allows us to more easily visualize the different ideas and decisions made during the research phases. Specific features like the timer and the ability to vote are time-saving assets for organizing workshops. Miro allows me to take a step back on the design of our tools' features, to share different ideas, to prepare design workshops, and to keep track of the ideas and solutions chosen. Miro completely meets my expectations and I recommend it 100%.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback in my opinion is that the search among all the boards is a feature reserved for users with a plan higher than ours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me organize my thinking, prepare design workshops, and visualize ideas. It facilitates the sharing of ideas with colleagues and provides a visual record of all the reflections conducted.
Best way to go from chaos to clarity or keep audience engaged in a workshop
What do you like best about the product?
The intuitive setup makes collaboration straightforward, whether team members are invited directly to the Miro board or simply follow along as I share the screen and take notes for everyone. I value the flexibility to collect any information in one place, brainstorm for there and finally organize ideas; going from a chaotic pile of information to a neat storyline. The colorful and visually engaging design not only enhances the overall experience but also makes it easier to distinguish between different categories as you can color code anything you add to the board. One feature I particularly enjoy is the option to add 'visual links', which keeps everything neatly organized in one place (ensure sources are present but in a nicer form, and you can even skim through pdf directly from the board). In the end, the only real limitation to how you present information on the board is your own imagination. It makes it easier to explain your train of thoughts to an audience and is a wonderful visual support for lengthy workshop.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's perfect for what I need personally (marketing strategy). I'd like access to more parameters re. collaborator access though. For example, being able to create different links depending on the access I want to give certain group of people (vs one link that distinguish only team members access vs outsider access). Also being able to see the password again once it's been set up (can't remember them all). And allowing more control on 'edit' e.g. some people could be able to add to the board (post its, links) but not move or delete anything (without having to block all the elements for everyone).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting work done - having a place to dump all the information before next steps. Being able to go back to it and evolve as we go. Get the client engaged in the process.
All-in-One Project Powerhouse: collaboration made simple.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Miro is that it’s an amazing tool for project management. It integrates seamlessly with Jira, which makes it super practical for planning and organizing Sprints. It’s also incredibly easy to collaborate with teammates, and everything stays perfectly synchronized in real time.
It also has a huge number of features — you feel like you’re using multiple project management tools, but everything is in the same application and fully integrated with the whole team.
It also has a huge number of features — you feel like you’re using multiple project management tools, but everything is in the same application and fully integrated with the whole team.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Miro is that the default font size when you start typing can be a bit annoying, although it’s something that can be easily adjusted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps our team stay integrated and organized in a practical and efficient way. It allows us to keep all the project information in one shared board, so everyone can easily access updates, track progress, and stay aligned. This makes collaboration much smoother and helps us manage our workflow more effectively.
Effortless Collaboration and PDF Creation
What do you like best about the product?
I can share a board with anyone without them having an account. I love using it to create pdf documents of hand-written material that I can access later. I love that multiple people can be on the board at the same time and it is not laggy. Love the templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Did it lose the "bring everyone to me" feature? I can't find it anymore. Sometimes it seems to misunderstand when I want to drag something. I have to try multiple times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to have a place to collaboratively handwrite on a board with people across the country. I'm using it for math and physics which need drawings and handwriting to collaborate quickly.
