Jumio, solid service to check identities and documents
What do you like best about the product?
First of all, the technical product Jumio offers is very solid. We've done over 100.000 checks on identities and documents, and have never had any outage on their service.
Next to that, the most improtant thing, is that users 'understand' what is to be expected.
Third thing, the documentation and implementation is rock solid, our developers knew what's possible and were happy to implement it well within the time constraints we had as a startup

What do you dislike about the product?
Jumio is a big company, with the same policies. Coming to an agreement (business wise) felt very 'distant' and inflexible, where we, as a start-up, always need to consider finances.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumio has covered all our identity check needs, which means that we hardly manually check any driver licenses or identities anymore.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jumio is not the cheapest option, but definitely is one worth checking out. Their technical knowledge and expertise on identity verification is very solid, their support system good and never ran out of their SLA's.

Great option for AI-Powered Identity Verification
What do you like best about the product?
Jumio is the perfect ally for companies that need to verify the identity of their customers through biometrics and AI. It considerably reduces manual review time and fraud risk. Jumio provides detailed status and reasons why some identities weren't validated and our backoffice team focuses only on those customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Almost 92% of the verification take between 2.5 and 4.5 seconds to get analyzed, it would be awesome if Jumio could improve that metric. Otherwise, it's a great option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer's Identity Verification and Facematch. We can now close monthly the same amount of deals we used to close in a year. We have seen a great increase in conversion rates and we have seen an increase in NPS in the past 2 quarters due to Jumio's Identity Verification.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking to automate your onboarding process, specially if you are in the financial services sector, Jumio is a great option. As a merchant, you get an admin dashboard where you can see all the verifications that took place, filter by Customer ID, Transaction date, Scan reference, Merchant reference, First name, Last name, Face match, Issuing country, Document type (driver's license, passport), Verification status (approved, rejected, etc.). It supports multiple documents per country and has an awesome UI in it's app.

I like that it can pass or fail quick but also has a human to review the system

It is very temperamental with lighting and just kicks users out when failed

Not a real time. They have an Indian team to manually review the requests.

Easy to use interface, nice presentation, shows information well

bad accuracy of face matching, searching can be tedious as there are so many fields
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Matching customers' faces with the IDs they submit - need to catch the fraudulent submissions. Sometimes Netverify tells you when an ID is fraudulent which is great, but it misses a lot of mismatching submissions (aka it thinks the ID matches the person when it actually doesn't)

it does provide false/positive results or gives you two different results on the same type of ID

Try and set up ypour system to read the results and take action through internal business rules to take the human review out and only look at the risk side of the declined ones
