Smarthub Search implementation
What do you like best about the product?
- SmartHub was straightforward to implement and configure.
- Upland were able to implement a highly customised UI.
- Customer Support has been responsive since going live.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Working across multiple timezones made things ocassionally challenging but we were able to work around this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Provides a customised search solution for our Global Intranet (approx 7000 users)

Good solution for our federated use case
What do you like best about the product?
We were able to integrate disparate systems: Oracle, Salesforce, O365, and web content in one standard user interface with one security integration (Entra ID)
What do you dislike about the product?
There were a few servers required than initially planned for our implementation.

One common search interface across four different content repositories.
Brilliant customer service and an immensely powerful search tool
What do you like best about the product?
The engagement from BA Insight's customer service and development teams is second-to-none. They invested a bundle of time to understand our business problems, develop a potential solution, and then investigated configuring the tool to precisely meet out requirements.
The tool itself is also immensely powerful. We've only begun scratching the surface of what the search tool provides. We've connected in a customised OCR tool and developed a custom search experience for our users.

What do you dislike about the product?
Like with all technology solutions you get out what you put in. If you have a strong information governance framework and management process this tool will be a powerful way to navigate through your document repositories. But if your repositories are unstructured, it won't solve that problem for you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have lots of information spread across a number of different cloud repositories. Finding precedents, templates and good examples was very difficult. BA Insight allows us to straddle these different repositories in a unified search experience for our users.

The BAI suite of tools allow us to deliver solutions quickly and effectively.

We occasionally have to deal with software bugs.

Fantastic Solution to Further Enhance Search Capability
What do you like best about the product?
Team was fantastic in helping us understand our requirements and connect Connectivity Hub to our existing data sources. BA Insight implemented Smart Hub and Smart Previews as well, which we published to our user base. Later on we explored using Autoclassifier for AI use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides come to mind. It can be hard to understand the enterprise search landscape especially with all the buzzwords and different technologies. BA Insight did a great job in helped us navigate these complexities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BA Insight crawls our enterprise information repositories, indexing into unified search indexes. Smart Hub provides a rich search experience for users. We are also using auto classifier to support artificial intellignce use cases, in helping us crawl and ingest third party content sources.
BAI SQL Connector - An Excellent Product and Reliable support team
What do you like best about the product?
The build-in security component, ease of use, and support team.
What do you dislike about the product?
This a hard question to response since the product works so well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The SQL connector is able to combine multiple data sources for our unify Ent Search. This setup is easy and fast to solution where great satisfaction for our BU's requirement to integrate their applications.
BA Insights - excellent search with NLP/AI extensions-including the experts to assist configuration

The tooling is comprehensive and staff are experts who are willing to assist in the journey. Fantastic experience engaging and through implementation process

There was not a dislike through the products or engagement

Extracting custom entites from text to provide context for targeted/specific document retrieval.
BA Insights Objective Search connector
What do you like best about the product?
Very strong technical support and customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Distance between Australia and the USA can sometimes slow down communication.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides a full fidelity search of Objective integrated into sharepoint search. Our requirement was to secuirty trim documents based on nationality.
One of the easiest Enterprise Search solutions to implement for medium to large enterprises
What do you like best about the product?
The SmartHub product and connector framework are flexible and powerful, allowing connectivity to common on-prem and cloud hosted endpoints. The real strength in BA Insight's Enterprise Search is in their technical team. Their implementation team proved to be highly knowledgeable and worked well with our in-house development team, which in turn allowed us to get all of the configuration and customizations we wanted before we went live.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the time of writing, the cloud-hosted Enterprise Search still relies on traditional servers for some functions and is less robust than other cloud-native solutions. We expect that this will improve quickly based on their latest roadmap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need to provide a quick and easy way to find documents and emails across all of our on-prem, cloud-hybrid, and cloud-hosted platforms.
