Overall, I find Quickbase’s flexibility and data-organization capabilities valuable, but a simpler setup process and more visualization options would make the platform even more accessible.

If the onboarding tutorials and setup guides were simpler, members of the sales team could understand the platform more quickly and use it effectively.

Quickbase can help organize these activities into a centralized system. At GM Modular, if configured to align with the sales workflow, it can simplify the tracking of customer inquiries, the monitoring of order progress, and the management of pending follow-ups. This can reduce reliance on manual tracking, enhance team coordination, and ensure timely responses to customers.

What do you like best about the product?

Creating calendars for recurring performances, managing our instrument inventory, and recording student recital evaluations all require a workspace that non-tech-savvy employees can navigate easily. Drag and Drop Dashboard Builder lets us build custom forms for tracking, rehearsal schedules, and grade sheets without needing any programming skills. The integrations also make it simple to connect with our Google Drive accounts, cloud storage folders, and the school’s communication systems.

Page loads and record queries are lightning-fast and stay consistent, even when many instructors are updating practical scores during our annual evaluations. The software also includes smart AI fields that flag issues in our submission process, such as missing evaluation criteria or broken links. The onboarding programs helped our department understand the benefits within days, and we saw real operational returns by moving from paper-based tracking to digital tracking.

What do you dislike about the product?

Creating complex relational databases and setting up granular access for visiting guests and class attendees can be hard to learn without technical help. Connecting external audio players and multimedia repositories can also involve some delays when the system is under peak load from submissions. The AI-assisted workflow recommendations are often too broad, and they sometimes suggest business-oriented pipelines that would need adjustments to fit classroom needs. For exceptions involving complex formulas, customer support tends to rely on ticket queues rather than immediate phone assistance, and the user license fees may feel excessive.

The biggest challenge for us was dealing with paper registers, missing rehearsal notes, and the disorganized spreadsheets kept by each faculty whenever we ran major concerts and practical exams at our school. Quickbase helped by bringing everything together into a single, well-structured portal: our full schedule, student attendance history, musical asset inventory, and assessment criteria.

By integrating our shared file servers and messenger services, it keeps both teachers and accompanists on the same page regarding learning goals. The system also stays fast, even during the busy evaluation period. Quickbase’s intelligent AI actions automatically analyze teachers’ comments and flag missing evaluation rows before reports are generated. On top of that, the personalized onboarding made it easy for us to adopt the system without disrupting our day-to-day teaching.

What do you like best about the product?

With Quickbase is I can manage almost every aspect of my development board and electronics project based business from a single platform. I can easily track things like the available stock of components—such as Arduino, ESP32, NodeMCU, and various sensors as well as monitor pending customer orders and upcoming project delivery deadlines. Previously, having to manage inventory and orders across separate spreadsheets would have increased the risk of things slipping through the cracks. With Quickbase, I can build custom dashboards and workflows tailored to my specific business needs, making it much simpler to handle stock, check order statuses, and stay on top of project deadlines. The biggest advantage for me is that it reduces manual work, allowing me to focus more on my customer projects.

The biggest challenge I find with Quickbase is that setting it up to suit your specific business needs can initially require a fair amount of time and effort. In my development board business, I need to manage inventor such as Arduino boards, ESP32 modules, sensors, and other components while also tracking customer orders and keeping tabs on project deadlines. Creating custom tables, forms, and workflows for all of this can be a bit confusing at first, especially if you don’t have much experience with low-code platforms. Furthermore, as your business requirements evolve, you may need to update and maintain the application accordingly. Pricing can also be a concern, particularly for small businesses. Overall, Quickbase is a useful tool, but I believe that to get the most out of it, you first need to properly understand and configure it.

In my development board and electronics project business, Quickbase primarily helps in solving challenges related to inventory management and order tracking. I sell components like Arduino, ESP32, NodeMCU, sensors, and other electronic parts, while also building customized projects for clients. Previously, I had to manage stock checks, track the status of customer orders, and oversee project deadlines across various spreadsheets and messages, a process that often led to confusion and delays. With Quickbase, I can track inventory, incoming orders, component requirements, and project progress within a single, centralized system. For instance, if a client orders an ESP32-based home automation project, I can manage everything, the required components, stock availability, estimated costs, and delivery status, all in one place. This allows me to easily identify which components need to be restocked and which orders are still pending. The key benefit is that it minimizes manual tracking and reduces the risk of running out of stock or missing orders, enabling me to focus more effectively on delivering projects to my customers on time.

It's useful for monitoring the sales pipeline, following up on potential customers and checking the progress of different tasks. I also like that we can customize the dashboards and reports to see which opportunities need attention. It saves us time from manually updating spreadsheets and makes it easier to coordinate between sales, marketing and other teams.

The dashboard is especially helpful because it lets me visualize key information such as client SLA tiers, network device categories, and incidents, which reduces the need to open and review individual records one by one. I also appreciate that the tables and workflows can be tailored to specific business requirements, making it easier to align the setup with how our operations actually run.

Setting up an application in Quickbase can take a fair amount of time, especially when you want certain features configured correctly from the start. It really requires careful planning during the initial setup, particularly when you’re defining relationships between network devices, client records, and incident management. While the dashboard does include multiple charts, more customization options would make it easier to surface the information I use most often. Better in-app guidance would also help beginners get up to speed and understand the more advanced features.

Quickbase offers a more structured system where bringing these records together and organizing them consistently improves visibility into day-to-day operational work. From a network engineer’s perspective, it’s convenient to manage device configurations, incident records, and maintenance schedules within a single application rather than jumping between tools or spreadsheets. The dashboard visualizations also make it easier to quickly review network infrastructure status and client-related details at a glance. Overall, this setup reduces the effort spent on manual tracking and helps routine tasks be handled in a more systematic, organized way.
