Far too expensive

What do you like best about the product?
It was easy to get started and onboard people into the application. My non-technical team members can create their own views that match their specific needs. It was easy to prototype views and data entry.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we signed up years ago it was relatively cheap and you could pay per user. Now is two factors, two decimal places are more expensive and you have to buy blocks of user licenses. I am desperately looking for an alternative, and I will leave the first chance I get.

When your database gets too big you can't export it using the built-in tools, you have to build your own using there API. There API has limits that prevent exporting the entire database in a single day, so you need to build tools with rate limiting in it.

Primarily the expensive is my biggest issues, its thousand of dollars a month for even 2 users to use.

Would not recommend
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Originally we were looking for a simple CRM with three linked tables. We didn't need all the extra bells and whistles that other systems had. We needed one step above a spreadsheet.

Powerful toolset for the appropriate use cases

What do you like best about the product?
Quickbase excels in managing processes for teams of 20 or more people, especially if the process is frequently shifting or becoming more complicated. Changes to business logic are quick and easy to roll out, and Quickbase supports suprisingly deep and complex permissions, data validation, and reporting options.

Quickbase is extremely discoverable. End users can be granted a wide variety of permissions, so the motivated can begin creating custom reports for themselves to specifically optimize their own workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
Quickbase has been in development for over 20 years and it shows. There's many different features scattered all over the product, often with overlapping functionality. If one is a new user, or inheriting an existing app, it can be challenging to get your head around everything that's going on inside a Quickbase app. They've made some strides in this area recently, but there's still a lot of work to do.

In the past five years Quickbase has acquired and built in an automation and integration tool called "Pipelines". Pipelines is unreliable, difficult to build in, and slow. The management of pipelines operates on an entirely different model than the rest of Quickbase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team uses Quickbase to track many things, including time entry, out of office, professional development, client projects. I've helped others build support portals, supply chain management, inventory, and project management tools from small teams to massive Fortune 100 companies.

What do you like best about the product?
It makes database use accessible without needing to know how to code, which I really appreciate. It also means I'm able to help train other employees easily, and they can actually understand how to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was more done with many-to-many relationships. I have a lot of content that would benefit from having easier connections, but we haven't found a way to simplify it yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping with our client communications database, recruiting new users, and with workflow to train them. We can easily keep notes in real time that multiple people can access.
