Quickbase is great for process focused non-technical builders
What do you like best about the product?
Quickbase is easy for a process focused non-technical person to learn to build simple apps, and for a semi-technical person to learn to build complex apps. Quickbase's support team is very responsive and incredibly helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Quickbase doesn't have functionality for signature capture or document creation built in, so we had to get third-party plugins for those features.
Some functionality is slightly inconsistent between using Quickbase in a desktop browser and in the Quickbase mobile app.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Quickbase for contact management, bid tracking, project management, and construction field reporting. Quickbas is primarily solving the problem of field-to-office paper flow by making all of our field reporting digital. It improves the frequency of reporting and increases the accuracy of reports and time to resolution for time sensitive field issues.

user account sign up limitation where it only takes email and not the user id

Functional But Clunky
What do you like best about the product?
It is a perfectly functional customer management resource, that allows a fair bit of customization. We work with a state program that requires us to keep specific records on file, which Quickbase allows us to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to navigate Quickbase. If you are looking at a project page, but want to search for another customer, you first have to go to the customer section of Quickbase or no results will pop up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickbase helps us keep track of where we are with a customer, whether or not they have a project, and if they could have a project, where that project is. It also helps us keep track of why a project has not yet moved forward, and to keep detailed notes.
Simple solutions for complex problems
What do you like best about the product?
Quickbase is user friendly and makes database design a smooth process. Quickbase U is a helpful array of videos and documentation to help solve sticky programs as you build your database. As a small non-profit with staff who sometimes struggle with tech, the database we have through quickbase has been surprisingly easy to operate while meeting all of our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found any concerns with using Quickbase
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a database for case notes, tracking outcomes, understanding resident event attendance - QUickbase does that and more. It simplifies our workflow as well.

The image viewer works fine but it should link or open pdf files as well

Database tracking
Pain at the beginning. Relief at the end.
What do you like best about the product?
Quickbase overall is user friendly with clean UX/UI. The ability to generate reports, forms, and tables are neccessary to keep business on track. Customer service is top notch and there is an entire web community willing to assist with feedback. Most issues can be resolved by reading through the community feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
Least helpful is the similar to what I like. Customer service is great but they are only M-F. The web community is great but it is time consuming to research. For the cost, it would be a better platform if someone was designated to help get the data up and running. At this point, I definitely needed a raise in pay to cover all the hours I put in. Instead, the web community and support tickets are in place versus paying an additional freelancer to assist. It took our business a better half of a year to get up and running due to lack of time in my schedule to research, understand, and implement. Back ups of data when needed can get tricky if it's the weekend and you didn't do a manual save. A version history would be wonderful to see.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It will benefit our business by collecting customer data, service history, equipment data, quotes and initiating a job board. We had planned to utilize pipelines as a problem solver but it seems to be more of a problem than a solver.
Quickbase Makes Clients Love Customizing and Creatively Manipulating Databases
What do you like best about the product?
At its heart Quickbase has very simple parts that hold huge value for geek users. They can learn and enjoy basics, and creatively satisfy their business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmmm... Quickbase is better than any other platform I've worked on over the last 38 years. I'm sure they will be bettered in future, but they need to work very hard to keep up their success.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most important part of being a database consultant is keeping clients fully engaged on projects. Clients really like being empowered by Quickbase, and so my relationship with them flourishes over the long-term.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy for SMEs to hop on, create a table structure and begin entering data. In one afternoon, I took a complicated and often broken spreadsheet, made a multi-table database, created roles and permissions, and rolled it out. In the past I have managed several realms, up to 600 users and 300 separate databases and many plug ins from Quickbase solution providers. I managed my previous company's efforts to become a QSP.
What do you dislike about the product?
The backup options early on were a little light, so we had to backup our data manually. Of course with pipelines there are many ways to connect to outside sources and create redundancy and backups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to implement and design. Using for multiple departments across huge company. At this instance, our department is just beginning to use it. Can interface with many apps.
Quickbase is awesome!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the way you can experiment with different things before you make it live for other users and the ease of using the software. We have tried other software, but Quickbase is the one we prefer overwhelmingly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside of Quickbase is how you delete users, especially those you want to delete permeanately. It's more of a personal preference and accounting than an actual problem.

Quickbase enables use to track many different areas of our business all in one place as well as being able to interact with a lot of other programs that we use.
