Great for start-ups and to streamline your process

  • October 05, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create multiple deal funnels is helpful, and I really like the task queue, which helps you to move through your prospect outreach quickly. The quote feature is nice too; way better than storing proposal templates offline and emailing them. With HubSpot, everything is stored and tracked in the system. I also love the HubSpot for Startups program; it enabled us to get started at a significant discount, and gave us additional onboarding support which we leveraged fully. Finally, I have taken significant advantage of HubSpot Academy not just to learn how best to use HubSpot, but also to learn best practices in sales.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the quote functionality was a bit more flexible to handle multi-year contracts in the way I'd like them to be tracked. There is a workaround that is reasonable, but not my preference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before HubSpot, we were scrambling to figure out how to design and execute our own process. With HubSpot, we have been able to implement a streamlined sales process that our sales team can embrace. The interaction with the Marketing Hub in particular has helped us to execute our process from start to finish.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take advantage of task queues!

A Good CRM Choice that Prioritized Usability

What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot is a refreshing change from Salesforce and MS Dynamics. The user interface is clean, polished, straightforward, and easy to learn. It is nice to have a place where sales and marketing data and notes can be stored in a seamless way. You also have all the essential tools for accelerating and automating repetitive tasks: email templates, automated outreach sequences, automated meeting scheduling, engagement tracking, and a dependable mobile app.

Best of all, HubSpot can be administered in-house without third-party developers or consultants. The combination of the knowledge base, HubSpot Academy, and online support make it so that in-house admins have a ton of self-serve support. And if that is not enough, you can also pay for ongoing or project-based paid support from the HubSpot team.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not necessarily something I dislike, but you have to come with the expectation that HubSpot is not infinitely customizable like Salesforce or MS Dynamics-- you can do a lot to customize the platform, but that customization is not limitless. I would also say that HubSpot is an excellent fit for some industries (e.g. B2B consulting), but less of a fit for others (e.g. industrial manufacturing).

Another thing to watch out for is HubSpot's tendency to overly use its own jargon and philosophy, which can be very different from other platform terminology and approaches. You don't necessarily have to agree with it, but you have to learn the lingo to get the most out of the product and platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a marketing-communications manager at an industrial components company, I needed to help a sales team of 12 adopt a CRM quickly for a move into direct selling. HubSpot was ideal for this project because of its quick learning curve for both the sales reps and the internal admins. Less than a year in, we've got buy-in from the entire team and we've armed our sales directors with real data and dashboards to use for managing the growth. Had we tried this with Salesforce or MS Dynamics, I'm sure we would only have 25-50% adoption for 10x the cost.

Looks nice, very straightforward. Too bad you have to pay too much money for everything to work

What do you like best about the product?
Quite easy to use, amazing support! A large number of courses. Also, notifications are very convenient. The interface is great. Filtering is amazing if you need to go through contacts or companies. Workflows are also very easy to understand, the logic is rather clear and it makes it very easy to set your own, any way you like it. The dashboard approach is amazing. You can easily access all the info from it, which makes it super convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it gets slow. Fully, I mean fully functional only when you throw way too much money at them. The discrepancy in notifications you get on the platform compared to what you see on the chrome add on. I wish that, when installed on the smartphone, you could use the integrated calling solution from Hubspot, not your own minutes. When sending people through sequences, you cannot select more than 50 per action. I am not sure why that rule exists. Also, the limit of 500 emails sent per day doesn't make too much sense. If you have more than 500 emails to be sent per day, Hubspot will still do that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation. Quite easy to set it up. Tracking productivity is super easy with Hubspot. Integration with email and calendar is amazing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's very easy to use, polished. Not all the features will work unless you buy everything from them. Support is amazing. Sometimes Hubspot gets slow, but doesn't happen too often. Rather reliable. Calling from Hubspot is very convenient.

Effective

What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot helps you be considerate to the clients. For example, not being allowed to add people multiple sequences at a time is important.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is extremely helpful but you can always use more data. Seeing individual opens when looking at a sequence performance would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deal tracking and scaling client outreach.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're going to use the tool, really use to the tool - that's when you'll see value.

Hubspot Sales review

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity of it. It also allows us a smooth connection between customer success and sales. It houses all the information you need from previous calls which is something our team was lacking is the drop of information between calls
What do you dislike about the product?
It houses so much information it can be hard to find things. I also am relatively new to this software and I feel like other softwares in the past have been easier to get used to. It just will take more working inside the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the disconnect between sales and customer success which was an important issue.

Great Tool!

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to quickly create templates and set up sequences for our Sales Team to utilize. Now having the ability to mass enroll contacts into a sequences makes it that much easier and simple to use (50 at a time).
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to report on sequences is a big downfall. As well, not having the ability to see what sequence a contact is in unless you click on each individual contact which can be cumbersome.

Not having the ability mass unenroll in sequences, yes, we can unenroll 10 at a time but if there are 300+ contacts in a sequence, it is very time consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot Sales Hub enabled our sales team to mass contact leads by using sequences. It also gave us the ability to track email activity, mass create tasks for follow ups and the ability to track document usage.

What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how well it integrates with a number of other platforms. It makes people's lives a lot easier knowing information you input on one platform will be reflected in Hubspot.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the quoting tool to be a lot more robust. In its current state, it's basic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one platform that contains all the client's data, even though the information has been inputted elsewhere.

Great database and automated marketing tool for sales

  • September 23, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can track all your email activity. Create emails templates and sequences easily. HS has great task reminder and their auto-dial calling from the platform is superior to any other databases I've used. The contact views and list creation is easy and the reporting dashboard is very intuitive. I also like their sales deals functionality; it's very user friendly. HS is a much better product than Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could edit "Life cycle" stages for contacts. Some redundancy between "Lead Status" and "Life cycle" stages. Otherwise, the screen view and properties are easy to edit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very responsive to questions. Also, HS tutorial video and were a wealth of information.
