What do you like best about the product?
As a programmer, Web Services is what I like best, hands down. Also, the ability to create and customize the Intacct interface is very appealing. Custom Services has real benefit in the possibility to allow non-programmers (the Accountants) to self-serve with some of the improvements they need and desire.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the developer resources and learning resources are a real blessing, I find the vanilla examples often leave a gap between what is demonstrated and what I need to accomplish. I probably need to send more time in the developer forums...
Also, as a non-Accountant, I sometimes find it hard to understand how different objects relation to each other. Where's the ER Diagram? :)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My accountant coworkers could better answer this question (about problems we are solving), in my eyes, I'm just programming to accomplish accounting tasks.
Benefits for me, as a programmer, have been in moving from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Intacct and gaining the Intacct Web Services and .Net API. Now, the sky is the limit!

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It can do whatever you want and need, Intacct is an excellent Accounting platform. Find a good implementer. Ask lots of questions, stay engaged, question everything (in an effort to improve the end result), communicate purposely with your implementer. If there is any customization, the most likely place for errors and problems to occur is in the communication between the Developers and the Accountants.

I absolutely love that is captures data in real time and the dashboards are priceless.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much just wish the new reporting function was not an additional cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Electronica approvals of on our invoices and dashboards/reporting available to our Business Units without creating/emailing to all the various parties.
New to Sage Intacct
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Sage Intacct is the consolidation piece which can be done in matter of seconds rather than manually for multi-entity companies like ourselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a new Sage Intacct user, I have not come across any downside just yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct has definitely saved us a lot of time and increased our efficiency in getting our work done effortlessly.

What do you like best about the product?
It has an open API framework that allows the system to interact with any platform or software service. The people and relationships that I have formed with Sage Intacct Employees are very unique and set this brand apart from others.
What do you dislike about the product?
The canned reporting that the system comes with is not dynamic enough. However, intacct's report customization allows you to create any type of financial report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are streamlining our workflows and processes, increasing controls, reducing time spent on manual tasks. Ultimately, we are working to automate the back office.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you build a roadmap for your technology. Take time to understand your organization and what you would like to achieve. The capabilities within intacct are endless. Make sure you work with your teams and include their feedback.

it's a cloud base account software, easy to access.
What do you dislike about the product?
TB by dimension report can not be generated directly

Importing function is very helpful and saved lot of time

What do you like best about the product?
I love dimensions, and versatility of reporting they allow to create. It's possible to slice and dice data and present stakeholder-oriented reports. I love the option of integrations with best of breed solutions and look forward to quarterly releases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bank recs could be better (auto matching deposits), and Budgeting capabilities are limited (vs Adaptive Insights). Perhaps Intacct has it and I don't know about it, the auto-generated package of monthly/quarterly/Board reports would be great

The Safe Intacct accounting software is worth the transition effort.

What do you like best about the product?
easy functionality and helpful help menu . Very easy navigation ui and customization can be done via finance group without any need for it interaction

the additional dimension groups available for reporting. this is currently only limited to account groups, and a few other but should be available for all dimensions like item, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
coming from sap we are saving a ton of money and ease of use. we are utilizing the ability of custom reports to better see what the numbers are and what they actually mean.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
we were able to get a free 30 day demo of the system and was able to do 90% of my job with never looking at a help menu or anything just showing the ease of use and moving around in the system. A wonderful selling point

I enjoy learning about the new features and software that Sage is creating to provide better support, reporting, and creating a knowledge database to help companies make better informed decisions that will affect its future.
What do you dislike about the product?
dislikes are a minimum as i believe this software is the future in this business. The helps this software create is immense and nothing can compare to what Sage can provide. If there was a dislike its the cost but a big saying of mine is that you get what you pay for, so its worth the investment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to get a more accurate budget process, streamlining vendor payments,forecasting, the list goes on. The Sage platform is above an beyond the best thing on the market. We are excited about the new changed wit the time sheets and Sage people and cant wait to see what the future brings.

Sage Intacct is an easy to use intuitive system. The dimensions give us the ability to slice and dice our data in many ways. It allows us to provide our staff with the most meaningful reports. And it allows finance to have much greater controls over our spending.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the cost of additional features such as budget and planning are cost prohibitive for those of us in the non profit world.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We install the purchasing module this year. This allows us to use the approval flow to get many of our expenditures in advance. Giving finance and management much greater control.

Take your time and really think about how you want to get your data out of the system. That determines your dimension structure.
