What do you like best about the product?
From the bug bounty page customization, detailed analytics page to the number of valid reports we have recieved. Hacker one leaves little to be desired.

What do you like best about the product?
HackerOne’s most helpful feature is its streamlined interface for managing bug bounties and coordinating with skilled ethical hackers. The platform enables us to submit, track, and prioritise vulnerabilities with ease, while detailed reporting helps our engineers to understand and fix issues quickly. Additionally, the platform’s vast network of researchers offers a diverse range of expertise, uncovering security gaps that might be missed in-house.
The key upsides of using HackerOne are the broad vulnerability coverage and the in-depth metrics that help us demonstrate program impact and effectiveness. The support from HackerOne’s team make the ongoing management of our program are seamless.

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing. It is every improving and adding features, making it easier. New addition of Ai integration has made things faster for us too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HackerOne gives the business continuous, proactive vulnerability discovery with the help of a global community of ethical hackers. They bring diverse expertise of thousands of vetted hackers, which would be impossible to replicate in-house. They help us uncover a wider range of vulnerabilities than an in-house team could alone, especially as new threats emerge. The can and have scaled with us, as our business grows which maintains our security posture, aids us in compliance, and protects customer trust.

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility to target bounty and VDP scopes on assets as requirements change. Easy to track metrics and payouts as well as other important program information. Great customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are working on it, but the inbox tracking between researchers to our internal team for the current action that needs to be taken could be simplified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Supplementing our internal penetration testing teams to provide extended visibility on high priority platforms to see what is visible to people not as familiar with our infrastructure and systems as internal testers.

HackerOne has been a game-changer for our bug bounty program. It’s user-friendly, efficient, and provides a robust platform to manage our program, connect with researchers, and efficiently triage reports. The platform’s features, like vulnerability management and communication tools, are essential for our team’s success.

While the platform is generally excellent, some advanced customization options for program settings could be more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HackerOne helps us find and fix vulnerabilities faster, connecting us with a global community of security researchers. This streamlines our bug bounty program, strengthens our security posture, and reduces our risk of costly breaches.

A couple highlights from one year of using their VDP platform:
-Ease of use, easy to navigate and understand the platform
-Customer service team is always available for you
-Their triage team will save you time to review submissions so your teams can work on other stuff
-CSM team provides good recommendations and examples of how to best utilize and strengthen your security

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you have to request more details from the triage team but my experience has been that your PoC will step in to clarify that with them so its not really an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a VDP platform so we wanted to use one of the best platforms out there.

What do you like best about the product?
The dedicated team that assisted me every step of the way in setting up our program and are always there when new issues arise. They are always ready with advice. The platform is easy to use and very intuitive.

nothing. The platform is easy to use and navigate.

HackerOne brokers communication between researchers and our applications. This closes the gap between internal pen testing and what the researchers discover. It adds one more layer of testing to insure security controls are in place.

- Some researchers submit spam, however not as frequently as one may expect
- Triage analysts aren't always the most in-depth in their review of submissions

Catching live bugs within our product, helping to create a more secure application and reduce bugs/vulnerabilities.

Can be difficult to find and administer the tool until you get used to it.

Find your security risks with HackerOne!
What do you like best about the product?
HackerOne Response VDP provides the opportunity for so many security researchers to review your chosen assets and find vulnerabilities for your teams to remediate. These can range from simple insecure SSL findings to larger and critical open doors to passwords, secrets, insecure APIs, etc. The findings we have discovered have been amazing and allowed us to secure our external footprint significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of using the HackerOne Response VDP is when you go "public". This opens up your program to anyone within the HackerOne program. This means you will get quite a few submissions. Just be prepared for this day and have your teams ready to remediate. Once you get past the opening rush, it should be smooth sailing from there on out and you'll feel better knowing that thousands of researchers are reviewing your external assets looking for vulnerabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is no automated testing within the HackerOne Response VDP. This program is all human based security researchers looking for vulnerabilities to boost their reputational score within the program. There is a high level of interest and desire from the researchers to find vulnerabilities. This method out performs any automated attack surface management scanning services.
HackerOne is one the best platform to perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.

"The penetration testers on HackerOne's platform are helpful and always ready to guide us at different stages. HackerOne connects organizations with a vast network of highly skilled ethical hackers from around the world. This diverse talent pool ensures a wide range of expertise and perspectives, allowing for comprehensive testing of various attack vectors. The platform facilitates seamless communication and collaboration between organizations and hackers, providing real-time updates, issue tracking, and remediation guidance. This ensures a smooth and efficient testing process."

I don't have any particular dislikes about HackerOne. However, I do find the pricing to be a bit on the expensive side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HackerOne will conduct testing on our dashboard to identify any vulnerabilities associated with our product. After identifying the vulnerabilities, they will provide us with a 60-day timeline to fix them. Once we have fixed the vulnerabilities, the dashboard will be retested. HackerOne will provide a detailed report on the vulnerabilities and assist us in addressing them.
