We utilize Alteryx for the purpose of transforming data to generate a report for data analysis that predicts the number of customers who will upgrade or downgrade within a specified time frame. After creating the workflow and building a dashboard on it, we set it up on a client-server to run live. When new product data is introduced, we fetch it directly from the database. This process is based on Microsoft SharePoint, and we have specific nodes for this purpose. With the appropriate access, the node will extract the data from Microsoft SharePoint and transform it into the desired format, which we then use to build KPIs and dashboards.

Easy entry to data and analytics
What do you like best about the product?
The low code no code nature of alteryx makes it easy to jump in and get results quickly letting me get more done to help people with data problems. Other solutions can take more time or have more of a learning curve.

The low code no code alteryx environment does mean there are limits to what it can achieve and it can be slow to process more complex problems unless you have the right hardware set up

The cost. A big part of what I use is the Intelligence Suite. I dont really like the fact that you have to pay separately for the Intelligence Suite.

Alteryx has been great for merging and transforming data within my organization. It's workflows are easy to develop and it has a great learning program to help use the program easier.

The most valuable feature of Alteryx is its stand-alone version that we do not have to download dependencies for loads. Additionally, the scan is useful for beginners.

We use the free version of the solution. There are enterprise licenses available. It cost approximately $5,000 annually. It is an expensive solution and there are additional features that cost more money.

In today's world, where every field deals with data, it is essential to have tools that enable us to manipulate, clean, transform, and build dashboards from data. Traditionally, Python and other programming languages were used for data preparation, but now with Alteryx Online, even individuals without coding experience can enter the field and provide valuable solutions to clients. This makes it a useful tool for anyone who needs to work with data.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use and intuitive interface. It makes data ingestion, transformation and wrangling easy for non-technical business people.

What do you dislike about the product?
Alteryx Designer does not have a built-in scheduler which would be very helpful for workflow orchestration and automation without having to invest into Alteryx Server.

Alteryx has solved the problem of data ingesting, wrangling and transformation. We are able to ingest data from multiple sources, transform it and generate actionable, insightful analytics for active decision making. We are definitely more productive and much more automated with Alteryx Designer.
Alteryx, Bridging The Data Gap Between IT And Non-Technical Backgrounds!
What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx allows users of all backgrounds and skill levels to perform data preparation/manipulation that would have historically been done by IT personnel with technical backgrounds. The tool promises self-service analytics and it achieves it by allowing everyone to prepare their own data. It also is an excellent tool to add automation to the many manual processes that exist in all businesses. Finally, with the visual workflow, it allows users to follow a process that someone else built even if they do not provide great documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the more advanced features, macros, apps, run command tool, etc. take a long time to understand. These aren't required to utilize many of the features that Alteryx has to offer but it does limit some people's ability to truly utilize the tool to its full potential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Originally, we had data in many locations and databases without a tool that could easily consolidate the different data sources. Alteryx is still used for that purposes but it continues to expand outside of the data specific departments since it can be used in many other areas, especially process automation.
The best tool in its field for data manipulation and system integration
What do you like best about the product?
No code, easy to use tool which makes it easy for anyone in the data world.The number of man hours saved through automation alone makes purchasing this this a very simple business decision to make.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly cant think of a negative issue with the tool itself. Any time i have had an issue that i have struggled o resolve, i head to the Alteryx Community and have had the majority of my queries answered fixed with an example workflow same day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a business we use far too much excel and there are countless cases of users generating files for 50+ sites by 'hand'. Alteryx has allowed us to move away from all of this and put our focus elsewhere.

I really love the interface of application and the easy how to start with Alteryx. People without experience in coding or data analysis easily can create their own workflow and transform data efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Alteryx is low-code/no-code tool so (even we have possibility to use Python or R languages) we have limited options against strictly coding environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx allows to prepare and blend the data. This tool is super helpful when we are trying to transform and combine our data, especially as part of the process before vizualisation.
