Purpose-Built Apple Device Management with Time-Saving Patch Management

  • January 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Iru is purpose built for managing Apple devices, and as such is much easier to use and configure compared to something like Intune. Additionally, having built in patch management saves a ton of time and assists in maintaining compliance across our fleet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish with a custom app that I could upload a folder containing a pkg file and run it in that folder, as some apps I have require additional files beside the pkg. It can be worked around, but I wish it was natively supported.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problems are:
Patch management. Our apps are now being properly updated in a timely fashion, where before with Intune it was always a manual process, and apps often didn't get updated.
Device Management. Much simpler than intune, and easier to get powerful configurations pushed to machines. Also, much faster than Intune's 'eventual consistency' model!

Easy to Use with Quick Support, but Batch Requirements and Features Lag vs Jamf

  • January 22, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use, quick support and growth into windows devices
What do you dislike about the product?
it seems Iru is not targeted towards small companies by requiring batche sof 25 devices, some companies do not need that many at one time. Being able to manage our usage and billing in portal would be helpful as well.

Functionality wise it does have some lacking features compared to Jamf. And i wish there was more granular control on some library items like if/then statements. A good example is being able to more clearly enforce a OS -2 policy. I'd like to be able to let people be on the last two major OS releases but then also manage them both more drill down for folks that are on each. Right now it seems like i can only drill down into one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest concern is security for lost/stolen devices so being able to lock the devices and protect our data is big.

Secondly, ease of use in managing our fleet. the more auto apps the better for day to day management and onboarding.

A must try for Mac Admins dipping their toes into Mac MDM

  • January 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-Blueprint feature, which provides a graphical path of how managed profiles and software are deployed to machine. Can narrow it down to per device to see the path it takes on the blueprint
-Clear categories in left side menu, ease of finding particular functions related to them (such as apps, vulnerability scans etc)
-Good search filter and custom views for devices, such as OS version, serial, model etc
-A strong support team who can provide answers and assist with any questions with integrations
What do you dislike about the product?
-Before you could easily access the Knowledge Base Articles from the platform, now you need to search it on Google to get there. The AI has no suggestions and only offers you the option to chat with support (which I think is overkill for finding where it is)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with unifying our device management for the business, a centralized deployment but also a unified profile. Makes it easier for managing of devices and the compliance level. We use IRU as well for EDR too.

Easy Setup & Integrations, But the UI Could Be More Intuitive

  • January 19, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy set-up and integrations with various solutions
What do you dislike about the product?
UI is overwhelming and at times unstructured. Could be more intuitive. Chatbot doesn't have access to basic company information
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote device management and ISO compliance

Iru Makes Remote Hardware Management Straightforward and Easy

  • January 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who’s still getting used to managing hardware remotely, I find that Iru makes remote management straightforward and easy to handle.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the very few challenges I have with the platform is that it is not always clear what needs to be done in Iru v. Apple Business Manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru makes it simple to manage my fleet of devices for our remote workforce, saving me hours of travel compared with having to go to each device in person to manage it.

Fast Implementation and Easy Migration Automation

  • January 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It truly shows. I spend less time in the portal than I did with our previous MDM solution. It took me about a week to understand the basic workflows, and then less than two weeks to have something fully implemented and ready for migration. Their migration automation was very easy to use, and it created a good end-user experience on our side.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn’t say I dislike it, but I was hoping new features—such as the simplified PSSO—would be available, and that we could use Dynamic SCEP instead of Static or even the ability to select either or.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has helped us eliminate a lot of technical debt. With our previous MDM solution, we constantly had to build customizations just to meet our needs. The problem was that when the MDM provider eventually released updates, they would often break our setup. Now I can quickly test new features on the fly without needing a separate sandbox environment, which makes it much easier to adapt without risking disruption.

Effortless Onboarding and Seamless Integrations

  • December 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The onboarding was smooth, the interface is easy to use and the integrations are well documented, quick to implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really the only downsite is that it doesn't cover Android.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
99% of our workstation are macOS, Iru allow us to remote manage them.

Strong Security Features, but User Experience Needs Improvement

  • December 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The features are sufficient to provide the necessary security controls without custom scripts. For admins it's plug and play, set and forget
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the UX for end users is lacking (it doesn't show errors if a user tries to enter the wrong password) or tries to overwhelm them with notifications; as a result, users start to ignore them. After that, macOS updates are enforced, and it isn't clear to users why their device was rebooted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru automates our device provisioning process. It solves the problem of manual setup by allowing zero-touch deployment for new hires, which reduces the time IT spends on individual machine configuration.
