My experience with Iru is very positive, especially because of the responsiveness and attention to detail provided. I especially value the smooth coordination and the consistent support, which make everything work efficiently with Iru. We switched to Iru for a more streamlined experience and easier device management compared to Intune. The initial setup was very easy and quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
occasional minor delay in updtes.

Rock-Solid macOS Management That Just Works

  • February 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Iru for macOS management for the past few years, and the biggest thing for us is reliability. It just works. New hires receive a Mac that is ready on day one with the right apps and security settings already in place. Updates and policy changes happen in the background without creating disruption. For a team that is mostly Mac based, that consistency has made a real difference
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a bit of a learning curve early on as we refined our policies and figured out the best way to structure things for our environment. It took some upfront time to get everything dialed in. Once it was set up properly though, it has been very steady.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Iru, managing Macs felt reactive. Manual setups, chasing updates, and double checking configurations were taking more time than we wanted. Now provisioning is automated, security policies are enforced consistently, and we are not constantly putting out small fires. For a lean IT team in a regulated biotech company, that time savings and improved control over our macOS environment has been extremely valuable.

Clear, Real-Time Tracking That Boosts Efficiency and Accountability

  • February 03, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Iru is the tracking feature. It gives clear, real-time visibility into activities and progress, which makes monitoring tasks and workflows much easier. Having everything tracked in one place reduced follow-ups, improved accountability, and helped me spot issues early. It noticeably improved efficiency and saved time compared to manual tracking methods.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tracking feature could be improved in terms of customization and performance. In some cases, it lacks flexible filters and advanced reporting options, which makes it harder to analyze data for specific time ranges or use cases. Occasional delays in updates also reduce real-time accuracy. Adding more configurable tracking views, faster refresh times, and exportable reports would significantly enhance the overall experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru solves the problem of fragmented and manual tracking by centralizing all tracking activities in one platform. It improves visibility, reduces the risk of missing updates, and makes it easier to monitor progress in real time. As a result, I spend less time on follow-ups and manual reporting, decisions are made faster, and overall workflow efficiency has improved.

Game-Changing Automation and AI Insights in One Streamlined Device Management Hub

  • January 31, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The automation and AI-driven insights are absolute game-changers. Iru has successfully unified Apple, Windows, and Android management into a single, sleek interface. The "Auto Apps" library is particularly impressive—it handles patching and updates for over 200 applications autonomously, which has drastically reduced our IT ticket volume. The zero-touch deployment via Apple Business Manager works flawlessly every time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transition from the Kandji branding to Iru was a bit sudden, and while the AI features are powerful, the learning curve for advanced "Assignment Maps" can be a bit steep for new admins. Additionally, the list view customization in the admin console could be more flexible to allow for better filtering of massive device fleets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru solved our fragmented tool problem. Before Iru, we were using three different tools to manage Macs, Windows PCs, and mobile security. Iru unified these under one lightweight agent. It has automated our security compliance (CIS Benchmarks) and ensured that our remote workforce is always patched without manual intervention. This has saved our team roughly 15-20 hours of manual labor per week.

Reliable, Easy Deployments for Standardized Configurations

  • January 30, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Reliable and does its job well. Easy to use to deploy standardized configurations, prevent configuration drift, and keep apps up to date.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Windows support is somewhat newer. I don't use it to manage Windows, but might be a downside to some orgs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Standardized configuration enforcement is essential to any cybersecurity program, and Iru makes that easy.

Easy-to-Manage macOS MDM with Solid Security Features

  • January 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Iru has made managing our macOS fleet significantly easier. Device enrollment and policy management are straightforward, the UI is clean, and day-to-day administration is reliable. The Vulnerability Management capabilities have also been useful for improving visibility into endpoint risk and overall security posture.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can be a consideration as the environment scales, but overall the feature set and support quality help justify the investment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru provides centralized device management and security enforcement for our macOS environment. It helps us standardize configurations, maintain compliance, and gain better visibility into endpoint health, which reduces operational overhead and improves security

So Easy to Use—App Updates Just Work

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to use. Especially compared to our previous mac MDM solution. It also works really well. Under our previous system we consistently struggled to deploy updates to Keynote/Numbers in a timely manner. We had to rely on on our MSP to package them. Even when they were packaged and deployed on time, our users often couldn't update. Our IT desk admin spent hours in meetings uninstalling apps so users could reinstall via self service. In some cases that didn't work, so we had to temporarily unblock the app store for users. Iru just works. We added the auto app to our library and no one has had to think about it since. We also were able to handle the migration from our told MDM to Iru fully in house. Setting up blueprints and ensuring compliance with various security frameworks is very intuitive. There's a huge catalog of auto apps available, but adding custom apps is super simple too. No additional packaging software required (aside from a profile editor, but that's not strictly needed).
What do you dislike about the product?
Remembering exactly where each setting is controlled can sometimes get confusing- but the AI support chat agent is very well trained and helpful in these cases. List view customization/filtering options in the admin console is the biggest piece that's missing for me. Several of the fields on a user record are unavailable as a display on the device list view. I would love to be able to instantly see a view of everyone who had installed a certain application or is affected by a specific error message. You can get around this with tagging- but it's annoying if you want to see something quickly and don't plan on re-running the search again. The alerts page shows device name, but not user name, so if i want to reach out to that person i have to go into the device record to see who it belongs to. The over all features make up for small UI annoyances
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's ensuring we are in compliance with SOC2 frame work and it allows our users to easily download/install/update approved apps without needing to involve IT or have local admin access.

A must try for Mac Admins dipping their toes into Mac MDM

  • January 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-Blueprint feature, which provides a graphical path of how managed profiles and software are deployed to machine. Can narrow it down to per device to see the path it takes on the blueprint
-Clear categories in left side menu, ease of finding particular functions related to them (such as apps, vulnerability scans etc)
-Good search filter and custom views for devices, such as OS version, serial, model etc
-A strong support team who can provide answers and assist with any questions with integrations
What do you dislike about the product?
-Before you could easily access the Knowledge Base Articles from the platform, now you need to search it on Google to get there. The AI has no suggestions and only offers you the option to chat with support (which I think is overkill for finding where it is)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with unifying our device management for the business, a centralized deployment but also a unified profile. Makes it easier for managing of devices and the compliance level. We use IRU as well for EDR too.

Iru Makes Remote Hardware Management Straightforward and Easy

  • January 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who’s still getting used to managing hardware remotely, I find that Iru makes remote management straightforward and easy to handle.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the very few challenges I have with the platform is that it is not always clear what needs to be done in Iru v. Apple Business Manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iru makes it simple to manage my fleet of devices for our remote workforce, saving me hours of travel compared with having to go to each device in person to manage it.
