Best MDM I've Ever Used - Hands Down
What do you like best about the product?
I've never had any significant issues with Kandji - I've used a ton of different MDMs, and not only is it a breeze to set up and implement, but the support is timely and friendly, integrations are simple, and the feature sets are in line with new offerings as Apple builds out more functionality. Simple, streamlined, not overcomplicated, and overall, a solid choice with reasonable pricing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recent pricing changes have made it more expensive, but depending on features, it's comparable to other MDMs while still being far more pleasant and simple to use and set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are required to have our assets tracked for audit and security purposes. Kandji integrates with Asset Panda and Drata, two of our other core systems, and makes that easy.
Kandji has helped us manage our fleet of laptops
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji has helped us more effectively and efficiently manage our fleet of laptops as well as implement confguration standards required for SOC2 compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to see the feature set expanded to include asset management, or at least to include the ability to create custom columns to allow DIY asset management.

Hands free macOS management
What do you like best about the product?
The Kandji console is laid out in a simple, easy to use format that is ideal for an Apple novice. The integrations with Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, and Azure AD were straight forward to confgure. Their customer support has been very responsive to our questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of a remote shell where commands can be run on per device basis is lacking. This is most likely a limitation of Apple's MDM
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to implementing Kandji, we had no management solution for our Mac devices. We would verbally instruct users on the configuration of the device until we could get an application like Teams or Zoom installed where we could take remote control. At that point, we would then manually install applications. Now with Kandji, our devices our enrolled in Apple Business manager by our resellers and then assigned to Kandji. Kandji takes care of all of the enrollment, software installation, and configuration.
Kandji MDM - Customer Oriented and Fast Support Response!
What do you like best about the product?
User Interface is very friendly, commands run fast, and our CSM rep Crystal Morgan has been with us every step of the implementation. Their support responds within seconds.I think we had Kandji running companywide across 250+ employees in less than 1 month.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's still a new MDM so you deal with some of the growing pains ex: desired features not being there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So before I got to my current company we did not have an MDM in place. We had no way to manage our devices and ensure they were compliant. I think before we installed Kandji < 60% of computers were up to date on the newest Mac OS and within a week >95% of devices were up to date.
Kandji makes MacOS configuration management and patching easy peasy.
What do you like best about the product?
It's intuitive and user friendly interface that is simple to learn, understand how it fuctions and quickly migrate to. The OS configurations, app installs, and patch management enforcement is much easier to build and implement than any of the other tools we've used before. Users now have a one stop shop, that's easy to get to, for checking software updates or learning what will be enforced soon.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish they would add more grouping and reporting tools soon. We don't have the option to add a column for memory on the devices menu, among other hardware attributes. That would be helpful to monitor who has what hardware or attribute without having to look at each individually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MacOS configuration management and policy enforcement
Intuitive and forward thinking device management for modern Apple admins
What do you like best about the product?
Just rounding a year with Kandji as our MDM platform we've seen that the company is highly responsive to industry trends and customer needs.
This can range for day 1 support of Operating systems and popular app updates to simply being able to connect to a Kandji Engineer in moments should you have a question you can't solve through their slack channels or support articles.
It's user interface is practical, clean and easy to navigate and overall pretty great. Deployment of new profiles are easy through their blueprint platform and they have a lot of natively managed apps that make managing application continuity a breeze.
Implementation was a breeze by all considerations. We were paired with an engineer who worked with us to mirror and improve on some configurations from our previous MDM and I was able to move our 500+ device fleet over inside a few days. Naturally, YMMV.
We've also found plenty of useful integrations within our IDP and set up some really straightforward native security features to increase posture without sacrificing our end user experience.
I work in Kandji daily and can say that it is much preferred to other MDMs i've used in the past at our scale.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only major gripes I have with the platform are in it's search features, lack of smart groups and some reporting limitations.
Other than this, not much. The company is quite responsive to it's user community and keeps a pretty transparent roadmap of features and change progress.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Intuitive and approachable MDM that takes a modern approach to device management and security.
Great Product, Great Support, Great Staff, all around amazing!
What do you like best about the product?
I've used other MDM/EMM platforms in the past, and they have all been so complicated, and time consuming. Kandji is extremly easy to use, but can also do everything you need an MDM/EMM to do!
The integration with our Apple Business account also ensure that as soon as new devices are delivered to my users that Kandji gets installed automatically. If for some reason I need to have a user pick up a new device from the apple store, getting kandji installed on their device is as simple as sending them a link.
I've only had to talk with support a couple of times, but when I have they are super responsive, knowledgeable and very friendly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, I have been super happy with all aspects of Kandji.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji allows me to keep software and OS up to date, push specific applications to specific user groups, lock and erase lost/stolen devices, and keep our devices safe with Kandji's EDR.
Kandji Review

Kandji has helped us get a handle on equipment inventory, updates, and proactive management of the devices. Kandji support is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no downsides of using Kandji..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintaining inventory, software levels, and remote wipe / locking ability.
Kandji has enabled us to be agile as we have grown.
What do you like best about the product?
Very easily manage fleets of machines with blueprints and having the flexibility to make changes on the fly. Interface is straightforward and you can easily see the impact of changes and the details on individual settings
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of reporting and remote assistance to endpoint machines. Fixing these two items would make it the full experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a fleet of remote first workers and maintaining security and machine deployment in a remote encironment
Great Experience!
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly and the UI is great. I love how basic they've made things
What do you dislike about the product?
Kandji doesn't do a great job when it comes to off boarding. I ran into a lot of unforseen issues that I wasn't made aware of until the time came. For example, users who have "Activation Lock" turned on cannot be removed unless the user manually does it. This caused a massive headache when I received ex employee devices. The devices were locked and I could not access. A process needs to be put into place that notifies admins of this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing I can think of currently
