It Works Well.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to manage and deploy new settings or apps to users.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing that stands out as a dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Kandji to manage our Sales Reps iPad fleet. This system makes it smooth to deploy new applications or permissions to those devices on the fly.

Comprehensive Apple-focused MDM

What do you like best about the product?
I like the consistent behavior of the product, including the delivery of apps and managed configuration profiles of the endpoints. The liftoff app is a nice touch to make onboarding easier and more transparent.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search function of the device list could use some TLC. Sometimes I search for a named user, but nothing comes up when I search their name (despite already knowing their user account is attached to an enrolled device).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We must leverage an MDM that allows our IT Operations department an appropriate level of control over our devices. Having our ABM account connected to Kandji ensures a smoother onboarding experience and the blocking of user activation lock also makes for a more efficient offboarding process as well.

Makes Managing Macs simple

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji has pre-built blueprints that are easy to modify to your exact needs. No need to spend hours going through all the options.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a mobile app for my admin panel to use while on the go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have about 70 Mac computers that the only information I had was an excel file with the specs. I didn't know what OS they were on, the last time they were in use, who had what. Using Kandji solved all that instantly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Work with the Kandji team, they are very helpful, quick, and will point you in the right direction for more complicated items.

What do you like best about the product?
The product from a UI perspective is amazing. Most of the things are very intuitive, and the sales process is amazing until its handed to CS. Compared to Jamf and Mosyle everything looks more modern. If your requirements are very basic, Kandji would make it easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Serval features and functions do not work as advertised and demoed. Auto apps have several bugs, even the basic functionality of the product has bugs. They promise that you will have a dedicated solutions engineer that's false. The CMS can only provide 30 min each time for meetings with a limit of one meeting that can be scheduled in advance. There is also no proper onboarding process. They expect that a customer will read support documents, reach out to support and figure things out and build the

There is no proper escalation method. If you are unhappy, they simply don't care, reaching out to Executives at Kandji yielded the same results, the company simply does not care about its customer and about the overall experience.

They expect you as a customer to help troubleshoot and test for them. There is zero urgencies to resolve issues. They do not have a proper software dev cycle, and as such there are so many bugs. And it takes time to get these fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to make the onboarding process easy for both employees and IT. If and when things work, kandji does a good job at reducing IT time in doing basic onboarding.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, always-on support, and openness from the Kandji team to take suggestions (and implement them!). Also, fair pricing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the agent takes a while to ping the server in some machines. It could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a tool to monitor all of our Macs, in different countries, for a price a start-up can pay. Kandji was the only one checking all the boxes.

Zero to complete device management in no time

What do you like best about the product?
The platform provides an intuitive way to manage and onboard devices with pre-defined security templates and ease of use. We've gone from no MDM solution to managing all of our device fleet in no time. With its API integration, Kandji helps in maintaining our security compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything specific to dislike about the platform. It would be nice to provide device authentication/login via Google Workspace as an identity provider would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device management and security/compliance enforcement with minimal to no IT staff. Kandji saves us a lot of time from an IT perspective and streamlined our device and user onboarding processes.

When it comes to an Apple MDM, Kandji is unmatched

What do you like best about the product?
With Kandji, we have end-to-end security for all of our employee's Apple devices, in one easy-to-use platform. Not to mention, the onboarding and provisioning experience for new devices is fantastic!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not dislike anything about Kandji. One product request would be to have a lightweight client for non-Apple computers!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we were set out to solve was ensuring all employee devices were in line with our security framework. With Kandji, we have the assurance that all employee devices are secure.

Superb Automation and Security

What do you like best about the product?
I love the flawless software patching, remarkable mac security features, and overall ease of configurablility of the platform, enabling nimble teams to the max!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is little to dislike as the platform as a whole. The only thing I dislike thus far is the lack of ability to manage notification settings with "Auto-Apps". The current workaround is to deliver the app as a custom app vs. an "Auto-App," which drops functionality a bit... but still great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving ROI on systems; we are automating most things for our organization without being certified in the system, unlike other MDM systems out there.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have used many MDM solutions within my career, and Kandji is unparalleled in its offerings. If you are contemplating giving them a shot, go for it! You will not be displeased with their services.

Simplistic approach to Mac MDM that works

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji looks seamless with the Apple OS. It works well and is nonintrusive; the transition was effortless to stand up, especially in a fast-paced environment with a significant amount of machines already deployed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is still a newer product, and some beneficial features are missing. They are receptive to feedback and continue to implement new, helpful features. We are looking forward to seeing growth!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our device management process has significantly improved, and we can now focus our team on other areas of improvement. Enrollment and faced paced deployment has exponentially improved our onboarding experience. Changing profiles and editing blueprints for different devices is extremely simple.

Decent tool, awful business practices

What do you like best about the product?
Generally a modern application that has many of the features of its competitors. Liftoff is a pretty cool tool that allows for a better onboarding experience than some other products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their support team is not very helpful, and their responses are often canned and don't actually help you fix your issue. They make a lot of promises about having great support all of which have proven to be false.

Their reporting and logging functionality doesn't support what we need for SOC 2 compliance.

Their billing and contractual practices are horrible. They force you to purchase a set number of licenses in fairly large buckets, and if you want to purchase more licenses, they force you to restart a new 12-month contract. I've never seen any company do this. It's definitely a short-sighted ploy to force customers to renew their contract outside of their regular contract period.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile device management, employee onboarding of hardware, auditing requirements, device configuration and monitoring. Some of the onboarding tools provide a very nice onboarding experience for end-users.
