The most user-friendly Apple MDM solution with an excellent support and onboarding experience.

  • January 17, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the most that Kandji has designed a user experience that guides the admin to select the best (secure and convenient) options for each configuration item. Also, their Okta integration is thorough and has the foundations to become a game-changer for identity management + MDM.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a bit of time to understand the Parameters vs Library for some of the configuration items. After the initial learning curve though, it did not affect us a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Kandji to manage, provision and set up company-issued laptops for all of our employees. So far, it has made all relevant processes quite simple, and overall removed a lot of security vulnerabilities we had with our previous setup.

Kandji - clear winner for an Apple MDM

  • December 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The product is simple to set up and use, but also powerful. Within the first 45 minutes of my trial, I had our mac build 85% of the way to zero-touch. That is an immediate refund in time, which equals money.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate to be that guy, but no major dislikes as of yet. I guess I can be a little nit-picky, and say I wish I had the ability to clear alerts (ring central isn't installed, for example).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned before, getting our machines as close to zero-touch as possible. We cut our Mac configuration time down from 90 minutes to about 15. That is a huge time saver for the IT department. In addition, this also provides a consistent mac deployment for our new hires. They get their machines, the way we intended to build them, every time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're considering a new Apple MDM, throw Kandji's hat in the ring. I've had a great experience with all of their internal teams, and the product is solid!

Easy/Seamless Turnkey MDM for Apple-only Companies

  • December 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji offers a fully-turnkey MDM system. What we love about Kandji:
- Super easy deployment
- Great dashboard of meaningful issues that need to be addressed
- Branded onboarding process
- Remote wiping process (this had to be done manually before and took us a ton of time)
- Custom script writing for our advanced admins
- Apple-specific solution
- One click integrations with the most popular software that we use
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. Every time we've had a question, we've gone onto livechat with Kandji and a real tech answers our questions within 1-2 minutes. No complaints at all!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Complete mobile device management across the entire org
- Upgraded security enforced
- Easy deployment of new laptops which skips 1-2 hours of customizations
- Remote wiping of machines for easy redistribution
- Auto-updates of apps
- Inventory management

Great experience with Kandji

  • December 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Kandji for a little over a year now and their support team has been great. Anytime I have had a question or concern they have always been able to help me in a timely manner. Kandji is always adding new features which is amazing. It is also very easy to use if you don't have experience with an MDM solution. Their help center also comes in very handy which I am always referring to, they have plenty of articles that walk you through on how to set up certain features.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that Kandji could definitely improve on but overall I think Kandji is doing great, they are always innovating and adding new features which is awesome!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji is our MDM solution for all of our Apple devices. They have helped save time on our onboarding process and having Kandji also helps with supporting our users. It allows IT to easily see basic information on the device in question and solve the problem quickly.

Kandji provides very effective provisioning and management of our MacBook fleet

  • December 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Liftoff (automated provisioning) is the key value feature for us, particularly given new pandemic working models. We can ship devices direct from Apple to teams members and use Liftoff to get them up and running immediately. The end user experience is simple and effective.
The Kandji technical team is very responsive to issues, with key staff also engaging with us via the macadmins slack workspace - this is super useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being policy focused, it's sometimes not immediately obvious where to find telemetry info. It's there, but you need to drill down into the device to find what you need sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above, primarily Kandji enables us to purchase and provision devices rapidly and at scale, eliminating the need to double-ship and manually touch devices.
The ability to use FileVault recovery keys for team members forgetting passwords is a great feature, as is the ability to unlock personal AppleIDs.
We also utilise the lock function to protect devices on offboarding/loss - a significant security benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I particularly like the fact that Kandji is innovative and willing to engage with us. Although we are limited in our size, I don't feel that I'm simply using a product from a huge vendor with no possibility to influence or engage in the development and evolution of the platform.

Easy to use Apple MDM

  • December 16, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is perfect for a startup like ours where we did not have a dedicated IT department. All of the features are easy to use and deploy, no certifications required!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that their competitors have which are missing from their platform, but given how responsive they are, I wouldn't be surprised if they show up in Kandji in the near future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to manage our Apple devices without a dedicated IT department. We have complete control over our devices and are confident that we are able to handle any issues that may arise.

Smooth and great collection of features!

What do you like best about the product?
The product is very easy to understand. The GUI itself is created in an Apple fashion manner. Kandji has all the needed functionalities for us to server the organisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still missing features around administrator management. Currently there is only one option where everyone within the portal are admins, which should not be the case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple and global onboarding of our machines, since we are a global company.

Great Platform !

What do you like best about the product?
- Easy deployment
- Intuitive UI and easy to navigate
- Great Onboarding experience
- Great customer service
What do you dislike about the product?
- The Alert system could use some improvement. Give more freedom to Admins to clear alerts, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apps deployment to hundreds of devices at the touch of a single button. Saved our IT team time and resources.

Unification of our restrictions and security protocol across devices.

Very good experience

  • December 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool fits our organization well. Once we got used to the Apple Device Manager Integration and how blueprints worked, we quickly made good progress through our list of requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support was an issue at first, which slowed us down- mainly as we are in the UK. However, they have since increased their support model to cover more hours. It's a shame Kandji didn't quite align with our SSO requirements. However, there are good things on the roadmap we are looking forward to seeing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We looked for Zero-touch deployment and remote management of our Mac devices. Although we have not quite realized some of the value-added features, such as lift-off, we are happy with the functions we currently have in place.

Straight-forward as all MDM's should be!

  • December 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The thoughtfulness of the workflows supported on the admin side is very impressive. I can tell that Kandji understands how an MDM administrator thinks.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't as many advanced use case features (like inventory search in the UI) available yet, but Kandji is putting out features faster than I ever imagined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji allows us to meet our security and privacy needs on the device endpoints.
