Reliable, Seamless Calling with Minor Hiccups for New Users

  • October 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Webex Calling is its reliability and seamless integration with other collaboration tools in the Webex ecosystem. The call quality is consistently clear, even when working remotely, and the transition between desktop and mobile devices is smooth and intuitive. I also appreciate the ease of managing calls, voicemails, and settings from one unified interface. The platform feels secure, user-friendly, and well-suited for both internal and external communication. It really simplifies day-to-day collaboration without the technical hiccups that often come with other calling solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Webex Calling is a solid and reliable platform, there are occasional delays when switching between networks or devices, which can momentarily affect call continuity. The interface, though comprehensive, can feel a bit overwhelming for new users due to the number of settings and options available. Additionally, the mobile app could be more responsive at times—especially when joining calls from low-bandwidth environments. These are minor issues, though, and don’t take away from the overall positive experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Webex Calling has helped streamline communication across distributed teams by bringing all calling, messaging, and meetings into a single, unified platform. It eliminates the dependency on desk phones and traditional PBX systems, making it easier to stay connected from anywhere. The ability to transfer calls seamlessly between desktop and mobile ensures flexibility during remote or hybrid work. It has also reduced missed calls and improved responsiveness with features like call forwarding, voicemail-to-email, and presence visibility. Overall, it’s made communication more reliable, efficient, and aligned with how modern teams work.

Reliable, Scalable Cloud Calling—Great for Modern Enterprises but Requires Careful Setup

  • October 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Webex Calling is how seamlessly it integrates enterprise-grade voice capabilities with collaboration tools in one unified platform. The solution stands out for three main reasons:

Reliability and Call Quality – Webex Calling’s cloud‑based architecture, powered by Cisco’s global data centers, delivers consistently clear, high‑quality audio with minimal downtime or disruptions.

All‑in‑One Management via Control Hub – The centralized Control Hub makes administration straightforward. It allows easy setup, provisioning of users, and real‑time monitoring, ideal for managing large deployments efficiently.

Flexibility for Hybrid Work – Employees can make and manage business calls from any device—desk phones, laptops, or mobile—while maintaining the same business number, which is critical for hybrid and remote teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Heavy Dependence on Strong Internet Connectivity – Call quality and reliability can drop noticeably when bandwidth is limited, making a stable, high-speed internet connection essential for smooth performance.

Limited Granular Control and Customization – The platform prioritizes simplicity but restricts deeper configuration options, which can frustrate administrators who need more advanced call routing or custom feature settings.

Complex Setup and Configuration – Initial deployment, number porting, and configuring certain features (like SMS or call queues) can be unnecessarily technical and time-consuming, even for experienced IT teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Webex Calling is solving the problem of outdated, costly, and inflexible on-premises phone systems by moving communications into the cloud. This benefits me and my organization by:

Enabling staff to make and receive business calls from anywhere, which supports hybrid and remote work arrangements and improves overall flexibility.

Reducing IT overhead by eliminating the need to maintain physical PBX hardware results in lower maintenance costs and easier scalability as the business grows.

Providing enterprise-grade security, reliability, and integration with collaboration tools (like messaging and video), which ensures business communications remain professional, resilient, and efficient regardless of user location.

Seamless Setup, Handy for Laptop Calling

  • October 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Webex Calling incredibly handy as it offers ease of use and accessibility. Setting it up was surprisingly simple, which was a pleasant surprise given my initial perception of its complexity. The call quality is notably better than standard network providers, and the feature allowing quick setup of contact groups is very useful, enabling me to efficiently dial key contacts directly from my laptop or phone.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a more directed initial setup experience that highlights the existing functionalities in Webex. I wasn't fully aware of all its capabilities initially, and it was only through a colleague's input that I began utilizing it. Without that guidance, I might not have discovered how useful Webex Calling can be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Webex Calling streamlines my calls directly from the laptop with ease of use and better quality than typical networks, saving me from using my phone.

Reliable and Easy-to-Use Cloud Calling Solution

  • October 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Webex Calling is its seamless integration with other Cisco collaboration tools like Webex Meetings and Webex App. The call quality is consistently reliable, even with larger teams spread across different regions. The interface is user-friendly, and switching between devices (desktop, mobile, or desk phone) is smooth, which makes it very convenient for hybrid or remote work setups.
What do you dislike about the product?
One limitation is that advanced reporting and analytics could be more detailed—especially for organizations that want granular insights into usage and performance. The mobile app, while generally good, can sometimes feel slightly less responsive compared to the desktop experience. Also, while integration with other Cisco tools is excellent, integration with third-party applications could be more streamlined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Webex Calling has helped solve the challenge of maintaining reliable communication across a hybrid workforce. Instead of relying on traditional PBX systems or multiple fragmented tools, everything is centralized in one secure cloud-based platform. It eliminates downtime and simplifies device management, making it easier for our team to stay connected whether they’re in the office, working remotely, or on the move. The solution has reduced costs associated with maintaining on-premise telephony and increased flexibility for scaling users up or down as needed.
