About OpenEMR Foundation
OpenEMR Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to development, support and maintenance of OpenEMR electronic medical record and practice management software. OpenEMR was originally developed in 2002 by a group of physicians to run their healthcare practices. Today, OpenEMR is continually developed, supported and maintained by a passionate and vibrant community of several hundred volunteers and an ecosystem of more that 60 companies.
