Through the program, AWS recommends APN Partners solutions to AWS customers based on technical validation by AWS Partner Solution Architects who review product availability and architecture.

While any AWS Partner may submit content to our marketing channels, an AWS Service Ready designation puts you at the front of the line. AWS Service Ready Program Designations

Within the AWS Service Ready Program, each AWS service is referred to as an individual AWS Service Ready designation. APN Partners may attain more than one AWS Service Ready designation to show product integration across multiple AWS services.

AWS Lambda Ready Products integrate with AWS Lambda and provide tools to help customers build and migrate their solutions to a microservices architecture running on serverless computing. These solutions enable customers to build services and applications without the need for provisioning or managing servers.

Amazon Linux 2

PrivateLink

Amazon Linux 2 Ready Products integrate with and run on Amazon Linux 2 to help customers take advantage of a low cost, enterprise-grade Linux server operating system with long term support and optimized performance for EC2 and other AWS services.

AWS Outposts

PrivateLink

AWS Outposts Ready Products integrate with AWS Outposts deployments. Customers can discover products that are tested on AWS Outposts and follow AWS security and architecture best practices. 

 

PrivateLink

AWS PrivateLink Ready Products integrate with AWS PrivateLink, providing private connectivity between VPCs, AWS services, and on-premises applications. They make it easier to connect services across different accounts and VPCs and help simplify the network architecture.

Amazon RDS

Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) Ready Products integrate with Amazon RDS. They make it easy to set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the cloud, providing customers with six familiar database engines to choose from: Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle Database, and SQL Server.

Amazon Redshift
Amazon Redshift Ready Products integrate with Amazon Redshift to load, transform, and analyze data; share insights; and architect and implement analytics platforms.

  • APN Technology Partners must meet APN tier requirements for the Select tier or higher before submitting a program application. 

    If your company has not passed an APN Technical Baseline Review, AWS Solution Architects will include this in your product review.

  • Step 2: Review Program Requirements
  • Review the program guide and fill out a validation checklist for your product.

  • Step 3: Product Listing
    • List your product in APN Partner Central.
    • Click "View My APN Account." Scroll down to the Solution section, and click "New" to add details for your Technology Product.
    • Provide details about your product in the “Technology Product” form. The details you provide in “Solution Details” should be specific to your product(s) that use the specific AWS service you are applying for.
    • Submit your product.
  • Step 4: Submit your Application
  • Email your completed Validation Checklist and Product Listing URL to designation-launches@amazon.com to apply. You will be notified by email if your product is accepted into AWS Service Ready.

    Q: Why use an AWS Service Ready validated Partner product?
    AWS customers can spend less time evaluating new tools and more time scaling their use of products that are integrated with AWS services. AWS Service Ready Partner products have been reviewed by AWS Partner Solutions Architects for success following best practices for specific AWS services in development of their integrated products including high availability and proper architecture.
     
    Q: Why did you launch AWS Service Ready?
    Through AWS Service Ready, we are making APN Partner product selection easier with a reliable list of product recommendations compatible with AWS services. AWS Service Ready is designed for AWS customers around the world to reduce the time it takes to select AWS compatible tools, accelerate the identification and adoption process, and decrease the risk of technology failure.
     
    Q: Where will I be able to find AWS Service Ready Partner products?
    Starting at launch, customers can find AWS Service Ready products by visiting AWS service webpages such as AWS PrivateLink Ready Partners page.
     
    Q: What does “integrated with AWS services” mean?
    AWS customers directly benefit from the fact that a Partner’s tools or applications are compatible with a select AWS service. Integrated tools directly interface with a specific AWS service that is running in a customer’s account.
     
    Q: How does AWS qualify AWS Service Ready Partner products?
    Prior to promotion with customers, AWS reviews each Partner product to provide end customers with product recommendations. Specifically, AWS Partner Solution Architects review the product’s architecture, customer documentation, case studies, and integration details to validate sound architecture, high availability, and market adoption.
     
    Q: Does AWS guarantee success with an AWS Service Ready product?
    Due to variances in customer environments, AWS Service Ready cannot guarantee success with each product. However, AWS Service Ready Partners provide evidence during the technical validation that the product has been successfully implemented in customer accounts previously with the specific AWS service.
     
    Q: How do I contact AWS Service Ready Partners?
    Customers can contact AWS Service Ready Partners directly by selecting the “Contact” tab next to the Technology product on AWS Service Partner Pages such as the AWS PrivateLink Ready Partners page.

    Q: How will AWS drive customer engagement or leads for my product?
    In addition to discoverability via AWS service pages, Service Ready Partners are eligible to participate in the APN Customer Engagement Program (ACE) to receive leads and opportunities from AWS.
     
    Q: Will there be badging available for APN Partners in AWS Service Ready?
    Yes, there will be AWS Service Ready badges available for qualified APN Partners.
     
    Q: What are the prerequisites to apply?
    APN Partners must be registered as either a Select or Advanced Tier APN Technology Partner and able to complete an APN Technical baseline review. Submitted products must be compliant with specific criteria and best practices defined by the AWS service team. APN Partners must provide two customer case studies demonstrating how their product helps customers use their technology productively, at varying levels of complexity, and at scale.
     
    Q: What is the process and timeline to become an AWS Service Ready Partner?
    APN Technology Partners can submit their application via APN Partner Central to initiate technical validation for each product submitted. APN Technology Partners take on average 1-3 business days to prepare an application. Key materials required include product details, customer case studies, and integration information. Once applications are submitted, AWS will review technical details within 18 business days.
     
    Q: What is technical validation and what should I expect?
    During the technical validation process, AWS Partner Solutions Architects review the application against AWS best practices for security, reliability, performance, and ease of use from a customer perspective. The validation uses the APN Technical Baseline to measure AWS best practice compliance, AWS service-specific criteria to measure service integration, and case studies for customer market adoption. The application focuses on product details as the key component of the validation process. Technical validation is done internally by AWS and does not require scheduling with the Partner, but Partners must have individuals available to speak to the technical requirements if a call is needed for more information.
     
    Q: Do AWS Service Ready requirements vary by region or country?
    Currently, program requirements are the same worldwide to ensure a consistent experience for AWS customers. Requirements are focused on demonstrating that a product follows AWS best practices globally.
     
    Q: Can I submit multiple products?
    Yes. APN Technology Partners can submit multiple products using the Solution Details section in APN Partner Central.
     
    Q: Why are customer case studies required?
    We require customer examples because this is an effective mechanism for setting an objective bar on whether the product provides value add to customers. Examples of customers who use Partner products in production is evidence that the APN Partner is providing value.
     
    Q: Which AWS services are going live at AWS re:Invent?
    The AWS Service Ready Program includes validated products from AWS PrivateLink. Partners can submit their products for immediate listing for AWS PrivateLink, or can apply to be a launch product for Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, and AWS Lambda. The Program will include more AWS services in 2020.
     
    Q: I have an AWS Competency. Why should I join AWS Service Ready?
    AWS Service Ready looks at APN Partner products through an AWS service-specific lens such as AWS PrivateLink or Amazon Aurora, while AWS Competency evaluates APN Partners products from a broader solution, vertical, or workload perspective such as Financial Services or DevOps. Through AWS Service Ready, AWS Competency Partners can demonstrate service-specific software integration and compatibility for end customers with AWS.
     
    Q: I am a registered tier APN Technology Partner. How do I get started?
    AWS Service Ready is designed for Select tier and above APN Technology Partners who have AWS service-integrated products that follow AWS best-practices for design and architecture. You will need to upgrade to the APN Select Tier before you can apply, and APN Navigate Foundations can help prepare you to meet the upgrade requirements.

The AWS Service Delivery Program identifies and endorses APN Consulting Partners with customer experience and a deep understanding of specific AWS services.
