Q: What is AWS Training?
AWS Training is designed to help individuals delivering cloud-based solutions gain proficiency with AWS services and solutions. Role-based learning courses are designed around the three primary roles that comprise engineering teams delivering cloud-based solutions: Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, and Developer.
Q: How long are AWS Instructor-Led Training classes?
AWS Instructor-Led Training courses range from one to four days. Review individual course descriptions for complete details.
Q: Where can I find classes near me?
Customers can find and register for classes in the AWS Training Portal.
APN Partners can find Partner Training and register for classes in the APN Portal.
Q: I do not see AWS Instructor-Led Training classes available near me?
If you don’t see a class available in your area, contact us to let us know where you are located. We will let you know about any training classes available in your country or region.
Q. Where can I find information about Partner Training?
Q: Do I need to bring my own laptop to AWS Training?
Yes, you must bring your own laptop when you attend an AWS Training class. A tablet device by itself will not be sufficient, but may be a useful tool to bring with your laptop. You should have administrator privileges for your laptop. If using Windows, you will need to have Chrome or Firefox installed on your laptop.
Q: Do I need to complete anything before coming to class?
Yes, if this is your first time attending an AWS Training class, you will need to set up two new user accounts in order to access the Student Guide and Hands-on Labs. Be sure to use the same email address you used to register for the class. Access will be available on the first day of class.

Q: Can I record presentations during an AWS Training class?
All content, including without limitation any courseware, presentations, and/or labs of Amazon Web Services training classes are the proprietary and confidential property of Amazon Web Services (AWS). They may not be copied, reproduced, modified, published, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any way without the express written authorization of AWS. Registrants must also accept the terms and conditions of AWS Training Agreement during the AWS Training Portal account registration process.
Q: What time do courses start and finish?
All courses start at 9:00am and end at 5:00pm. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the course to check-in on the first day.
Q: Is there a cost associated with AWS Training?
Some courses include a registration fee. Review individual course descriptions for complete details.
Q: What methods of payment are accepted?
We accept payment by credit card only, in US dollars. A valid credit card must be provided at the time of registration. We accept American Express, MasterCard, and Visa.
Q: Where can I find a copy of my receipt?
You will receive a confirmation via email when your registration is confirmed and your credit card is charged. The confirmation includes a copy of your transaction receipt. Be sure to save this confirmation for your records. You may also go to your AWS Training Portal transcript to view your registration receipt.
Q: Can I get a confirmation that my colleague has registered?
Each individual will receive a confirmation of their registration. We are unable to provide information to anyone other than the person who has registered. Please have them contact us directly with any questions.
Q: Can I register on the behalf of another person, or for a group of people?
Each individual must register on their own behalf. We do not accept registration by proxy. If you wish to schedule training for a group of people, consider requesting dedicated onsite training. Contact us to request onsite AWS Training.
Q: What is the difference between public and dedicated onsite training?
AWS offers public Instructor-led classes that are open to any individual who registers online. We also offer dedicated onsite training for any company interested in hosting the course at their facility. Contact us to request a private training class for your organization.
Q: Does AWS offer discounts on training?
We offer discounts on onsite training based on the number of students in a class. We do not currently offer discounts on public courses.
Q: Can I cancel my registration for AWS Training?
If you cancel or reschedule your registration for an AWS Training class at least five business days before the scheduled start date of the class, we will refund you for that class. If you cancel or reschedule your registration for an AWS Training class less than five business days before the scheduled start date of the Class, the fees for that Class will not be refunded.
Q: Is my registration transferable?
Registrations for an AWS Training class apply to the individual who registered. Registrations are non-transferable to another individual and/or a new class registration. If you cannot attend a course for which you registered, you will need to cancel your registration. (See question above.)
Q: Where can I find a record of training I have completed?
Customers can access their account in the AWS Training Portal. Go to the “My Training” tab and click “View Your Transcript.” Go to the “Completed” tab, find the class name, and then click “Transcript.” APN Partners can access their account via the APN Portal.
Q: How can I provide feedback about a training class I have completed?
Customers can access their account in the AWS Training Portal. Go to the “My Training” tab and click “View Your Transcript.” Find classes you attended, and then click “Evaluation.” APN Partners can access their account via the APN Portal.
Q: In the AWS Training Portal, I do not see a training class I attended in my completed tab?
It may take up to three business days after the end of a class for it to appear marked as "Completed" in your AWS Training Portal account. If you recently attended a class and do not see the class listed in your "Completed" tab, please check the "Active" tab.
