What do you like best about the product?
It provides each and every vulnerabities Found on the devices and gives more visibility towards fixing on the flaws found
What do you dislike about the product?
Frequent upgrade to be required , some times getting delay on updating trending security landscape .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives attention to close the vulnerabilities on priority wise to workaround to close the patch /upgrades .

Nessus Review for Server Vulnerabilities and Device Baselines
What do you like best about the product?
Nessus has provided a lot of help in determining new and current Common Vulnerabilities and Exploits (CVE) to both on-prem and cloud-based servers. It boosted the security posture of these in-scope IT assets and helped in updating the versions of the apps and platforms in it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much. Report types may be improved and contents can be consolidated better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Baselining the network, platforms, and hardware devices ensures that we are following the best practices. Nessus helps us achieve it through one of its features.

Nessus is like a de-facto standard for your vulnerability scanning needs. Allocate time to know the features so you can maximize them.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that the Nessus product tells you if the discovered vulnerability is exploitable, and if so by what tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the reporting tool was more robust. As it stands, now I export the Nessus scan database and use a Perl script to parse the data into a custom CSV file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tenable cuts down the time it takes to evaluate a network for vulnerability and potential attack paths

Nessus Professional is great for consulting as they do not charge by IP Address like with their IO product.

What do you like best about the product?
this is the best and 100% accurate acutomatic tool for network and host vulnerability assessment tool. it's a very easy and useful tool for finding any loophole in the network and host with a minimal false-positive result.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing to dislike about this tools but the only thing is that it takes some time to give result because they scan every vulnerability so its take time otherwise it works well and gives a very accurate result.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use this tool for my day-to-day client site project and use this tool to find vulnerabilities in the network and endpoints (host). and solve very complex vulnerabilities in less time and secure my client's infrastructure from hackers.
good tool really helps in scanning domains and find vulnerability.

Plug in details are complete and helpful to mitigate the issues. its results are very satisfactory and really better tool than other competitors. it aslo helps to find out solutions for the vulnerability. By the use of this tool i saved many customers from critical vulnerabilities. Suggested solutions based on tool results to the developer teams. it can also scan networks and find out security problems their.
What do you dislike about the product?
for lage scan , sometimes it slowdown. that should be improved. GUI interface should be improved. And some more features needs to be added. tools should have updates more frequently. some more features related to network security should be added. that will help users to solve problems easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it helps me to scan websites and find out vulnerabilities. It also tell md the severity of bug. so i can decidethe priority to resolve highest problematic first. For many websites i found critical and normal vulnerabilities and solved by help of nezsuss and other tools. it save time and provide good results. it have a good and easy graphical interface that helps to a beginner to use thos tool for their purposes.
Nessus is gamechanger, it helps me to reduce my work pressure

What do you like best about the product?
The software is easy to use and setup. It has a large database of vulnerabilities and will alert you to issues including malware, missing patches, mis-configurations, default passwords, etc. Lots of options for exporting the data: CSV, PDF, HTML, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not many dislikes. Again, very user friendly.

Trying to ensure that our network is free from vulnerabilities gives us the assurance that our data is protected.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the most commonly used vulnerability analysis methods. It is very efficient to scan application servers, DB servers, network devices like switches, routers, firewalls and proxy servers, which allows every system to operate one only to scan vulnerabilities and incomplete patch reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The method is quite intense but, in the process, we want to use Nessus and the setup of a scan is appropriate, but requires the expertise to get all the desired results.

With so many features for security scans in web applications Nexus is among the industry's top vulnerability scanners. For Windows operating systems Nessus can run through the web browser.

Excellent software It is very easy to implement in my opinion it is one of the best products on the market.
Scan your anything with Nessus
What do you like best about the product?
I have used this to scan our servers, Db and OS. By using Nessus we can scan vulnerabilities. In our assignment, I have used this to scan servers in my university. The interface is attractive and easy to work. It gives us many options to scan such as policies advance scan, wanna cry and etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
when first time installs the plugins it takes a long time other than that this is an amazing tool for security field persons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to do our assignments and projects. we can save us time. when there is no Nessus we have to check manually. everything is simple with Nessus only thing we have to do wait and see what the result is.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have highly recommended this to every security-related persons to scan their servers, OS and Db. It is very easy to use.
AWS needs to update this AMI
Works great but AWS needs to update this AMI so that the version of Nessus is at least 7.1.3 and above. I was unable to update Nessus. Per Tenable, it's not possible to update Nessus if launched from this AMI.
