3CX for flexibility, easy install, easy management and cost savings!

  • November 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
3CX is a mature product with many advances over the years, making it easy to install across many different platforms, both physical and virtual, and operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and ALL cloud platforms.
Once installed, it is easy to set up with recommended SIP trunk providers worldwide, adding users, extensions, queues IVR, etc.
The feature set is extensive, meaning it will likely hit all the requirements from most businesses, and they are constantly adding new features meaning what it was when we initially purchased is not what it is now with many extra features added.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike, as it does what it says it will do on the box. The pricing is transparent, as are all the details about its functions.
About the only bad thing is they DON'T DO a typical sales pitch with smoke and mirrors and big promises that are broken once it is installed, but that's ok, I don't miss those.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our company we solved several BIG problems by switching to 3CX inplace of a traditional hardware PBX system.

1. Allowing easy work from home phone service for all of our staff. Especially since Covid started, 3CX was a breaze to get WFH office phones working, we're using the supplied 3CX softphones, but some users have it going to their 3CX mobile app. We could also do hardware phones but no one wants extra IT equipment at home.
2. Easy DR. They do have high-availability options too. But I found just doing a few practice runs of getting the backup and restoring to a 2nd machine was quick enough.
3. Cost reduction. To achieve our high-availability with a traditional PBX cost a lot of money, both in hardware and also in services, AND it didn't work when we needed to anyway.Plus traditional PBX's have all the hardware, a piece each for each function, plus hardware handsets, and complicated network setup. Big savings. Even if we used an external 3CX partner it would be big savings as it just works so well they don't need to do much.

Good VOIP system

What do you like best about the product?
It's much more portable and user-friendly than our previous phone system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup was a little complicated, primarily because of our previous phone provider.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're currently using it as our inter-office phone system. A big perk has been having the 3cx program available on computers and mobile phones via the app.

What do you like best about the product?
3cx Just Works. Easy to load, easy to config, easy to backup, easy to restore. It just works.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of SMS support
Failover configuration is clumsy and doesn't always work.
Some physical phones are hard to provision.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a call center, I replaced 150 physical phones with the softphone / headsets. SOO easy to configure, works all the time and very easy to support. Saved cost of phones, replaceing back phones and improved productivity.

Easy to use, all in one communication platform

  • August 20, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Everything is self-contained within one package. Effortlessly working between desktop and mobile is so easy, so no longer tied to my desk! Integration with Office 365, so when I'm in meetings, my status is automatically changed to 'do not disturb'.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support for a wider range of browsers, such as Firefox would be useful. Also, the audio quality can vary somewhat, and can struggle using the desktop client.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's provided a cost-effective way to manage our business continuity and given us the ability to provide hybrid working to our staff while improving the customer expereince.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A good set of basic features and provides pretty much every tool you need to enable seamless communication across a broad team.

What do you like best about the product?
Having the ability to seamlessly transfer calls made to office phone numbers directly to the respective mobile devices. Being able to set up web meetings easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup process is cumbersome and confusing. The support from 3CX somewhat lacked urgency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Routing calls to employees traveling away from the office has increased our efficiency, timely responses to clients, and ensured that web meetings have the best attendance from all employees, whether in or out of the office.

Easy, and can be used to work from home

  • July 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That it has both computer software for the desktop and an app for your phone to easy access from home. I also like that you can see everyone's status around the office, and you can tell if they are on the phone or at lunch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Putting yourself in "away" mode doesn't allow you to receive calls inside your office. You cant even leave a voicemail at someone's desk if they are on away. I don't have much else to complain about; it is a sound phone managing system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving many problems.3CX gives you easy accessibility to all phones within the company. You can make both inbound and outbound calls with ease, and you have full transparency of your talk times, voicemails, etc.
Working from home and linking into the office phone during the shutdowns was made more accessible with this program.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can use it for all management, working from home, working in a large office. It allows you to see who is in a meeting, who is on the phone, who is ringing etc. I don't know how we got by without it for so long!

Great communication tool for reaching candidates/clients from anywhere

  • December 03, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
3CX gives me the ability to send and receive calls from both clients and candidates while in the office or on my mobile phone. I never miss a call now, which in the staffing industry is a huge plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
occasionally there may be a glitch which prevents me from being able to access the system while away from the office, but it doesn't happen so often that I wouldn't recommend the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem I have solved is missing calls. Many of the candidates that I am trying to reach may be at work during the day and unable to take a call. Using this system allows me to receive calls after hours, if I wish to, giving me the ability to not miss a call from a candidate. This has increased the number of hires I have been able to make by being able to do a phone screen with them at any time.

3cx voip provider review

  • December 01, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
*Can call both locally or Internationally
* Easy to use Interface
*No telephone line required
*Calls can be recorded
What do you dislike about the product?
* Sometimes that the calls either cut or volume disappears leading to a redial.
*Limited Voip tools at our disposal to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a business having 3cx on the laptops for calling is a lot easier to use than giving each user a corded phone, we have also saved on a lot of equipment expenses because on the 3cx app. The other nice feature is we have multiple people calling at the same time. +- 80 users.

Phone system with features for our current time

  • November 30, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am able to use the mobile app or external web link to use as my desk phone when I am out of the office. The desk phones are easy to use. The administration console has an easy to use interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on the ISP (Internet Service Provider), they sometimes block access to some firewall ports that are needed for 3CX to operate from the browser. Sometimes if someone is calling and it shows on the home screen of the phone the call is missed even though your trying to swipe to answer the call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to make, transfer, conference and receive business calls when I am on the road or even out of the country. I could do my work as if I am in office especially during this pandemic.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For mobile users: ensure that you have a proper data or wifi connection and ensure that the app as well as the phone system has the latest updates.
