Powerful Real-Time Insights, But UI Complexity Slows Onboarding
What do you like best about the product?
I like that New Relic gives clear, real-time visibility into how applications perform. It helps quickly find performance issues, slow APIs, or errors with detailed metrics, logs, and traces—all in one dashboard. The APM and alerting features make it easy to monitor uptime and user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that New Relic’s UI and setup can be a bit complex, and it sometimes takes effort to find specific metrics or traces quickly. Also, querying data with NRQL can have a learning curve for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic helps detect and diagnose performance issues in applications by providing real-time metrics, logs, and traces. It makes it easier to find bottlenecks, slow APIs, and errors before they affect users. This helps improve application reliability, speed, and overall user experience, while also saving time in troubleshooting and debugging.
Makes Tracking Easier Than Ever
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface and dashboards are intuitive, and the setup process is straightforward. The platform is responsive, with comprehensive documentation and effective monitoring features. The logging capabilities make managing tasks simpler, and there are robust integrations with various cloud providers.
What do you dislike about the product?
NRQL can be challenging for newcomers to learn. The pricing model may also be difficult to understand at first. If not configured properly, alerts have the potential to become noisy or repetitive, which can result in alert fatigue.

Powerful Unified Observability, but Onboarding Can Be Overwhelming for New Users
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about New Relic is its comprehensive, unified observability platform that provides real-time insights across the entire software stack. In a world where system complexity is increasing, New Relic simplifies monitoring by bringing together metrics, logs, traces, and events in a single pane of glass.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where I believe New Relic has room for improvement is the complexity of initial setup and instrumentation, especially for teams new to observability. While the platform offers powerful capabilities, the onboarding process—configuring agents, dashboards, and alerts—can feel overwhelming without prior experience. That said, I’ve seen that New Relic continues to invest in improving documentation, automation, and guided experiences, which shows a commitment to addressing this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic helped on Custom instrumentations & mobile breadcrumb for Mobile side monitoring.
Comprehensive Observability with Powerful Insights, but Requires Planning and Expertise
What do you like best about the product?
Real-time monitoring and alerting have been instrumental in allowing us to quickly detect and address issues before they affect our users. The detailed insights into application performance, especially the option to drill down into specific transactions and traces, are incredibly useful. Additionally, the customizable dashboards and smooth integrations with other tools, along with the flexibility to design personalized views, contribute greatly to its versatility.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup can be quite complex, as configuring agents and integrations often takes considerable time, especially for those new to the platform. The pricing model is another concern, since costs may rise rapidly as data ingestion increases, which makes it difficult to predict expenses. Additionally, there is a notable learning curve for advanced features, with some functionalities demanding substantial time and expertise to utilize effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic has been instrumental in helping us tackle performance visibility and reliability issues throughout our applications and infrastructure. With its real-time monitoring, comprehensive transaction tracing, and proactive alerting, we have been able to significantly decrease our mean time to resolution (MTTR). As a result, our system uptime has improved, the user experience has been enhanced, and our teams are now better equipped to make informed, data-driven decisions regarding capacity planning and optimization.
