Edera Safety, a design studio from Austria, wanted to use generative design for manufacturing to leverage the power of machine learning in the cloud to accelerate the entire design-to-make process. Using Autodesk's Fusion 360, built on Amazon SageMaker, Edera Safety leveraged data and looped it back into their design process.
Through generative design, they can run hundreds of simulations in one hour instead of several hours or days. They can also explore manufacturing-ready outcomes early in their production process to optimize for cost, material, and different manufacturing techniques, to speed time to market.
