AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for a pre-configured image running SQL Server 2022 Enterprise on hardened Windows Server 2025. Pricing is not tiered by feature set. Instead, each dimension maps to a specific Amazon EC2 instance type, and your hourly rate follows the instance you choose. Options range from small burstable instances to large memory-, compute-, storage-, and accelerator-optimized machines, including bare-metal sizes. Your cost scales with the instance's capacity: larger instances with more vCPUs and memory carry higher hourly rates. You select the instance that fits your workload and run it as needed.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit include when I run this image?
Each hourly unit covers one running Amazon EC2 instance of the type you select, pre-configured with SQL Server 2022 Enterprise on hardened Windows Server 2025. You pay the rate tied to that instance type for every hour it runs. Charges reflect the software image on that single instance.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. Stopping the instance halts these hourly charges. Underlying AWS fees, such as storage for attached volumes, may still apply while the instance is stopped. Metering follows running time on the instance you selected.
How do I lower or raise my hourly cost if my workload changes?
Your hourly rate follows the EC2 instance type you run. To lower cost, run a smaller instance with fewer vCPUs and less memory. To raise capacity, choose a larger instance, including memory-, compute-, storage-optimized, or bare-metal sizes. The change takes effect when you switch instances.
