Am I charged when my instance is stopped or powered off?
Hourly software charges apply only while an instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance stops accruing software charges. Underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes may still apply while an instance is stopped, but the software meters running hours only.
How is this billed, and do I commit to any term upfront?
