     Info

    Dimensions summary

You pay by the hour for this hardened Docker image running on CentOS 9. Pricing is usage-based, so charges accrue only while an instance runs. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, measured in hours. The rate you pay depends on which instance type you launch. Options span general purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, accelerated computing, and high-performance families across many sizes. Larger or more specialized instances carry higher hourly rates than smaller ones. You pick the instance type that fits your workload, and billing scales with runtime and instance choice.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

One unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you launch, billed per hour. The rate reflects that specific instance type. Each instance you start meters separately. The image itself is the hardened Docker on CentOS 9 build; your hourly rate depends on the instance family and size you choose.
Software charges accrue only while an instance runs. When you stop or terminate an instance, the hourly software charge stops. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage costs for attached volumes, but the image's hourly software fee meters running time only.
This is usage-based, pay-as-you-go pricing. You do not commit to a fixed term or quantity. Charges accrue per instance-hour while instances run and stop when you shut them down. This fits variable workloads where runtime and instance count change over time.
