Live streaming at scale with multilingual subtitling, cloud DVR, and dynamic ad insertion

Broadcasters and live channel over the top (OTT) operators need cost-effective and highly resilient options to deliver live video programming with personalized ad insertion. Using AWS Elemental MediaLive & AWS Elemental MediaPackage live video, such as news production, is delivered to common consumer devices with personalized, targeted advertising automatically inserted with AWS Elemental MediaTailor in conjunction with the Springserve ad decisioning system. Selectable subtitling in multiple languages is enabled through the use of SyncWords’ live, automatic transcription and translation solution. Low-latency streaming solutions are also available through the optimized use of Elemental MediaLive and Channel Assembly Media Package for the fastest content delivery when needed for sports use cases. ATEME’s cloud DVR solution, which integrates both Amazon Elastic Block Storage (EBS) and Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), adds highly scalable cloud-based recording and playback of the news programming and other live streaming content.
