Q: Can I customize logos, colors, and text?

A: Yes, all titles, descriptions, and text on the preference center can also be customized. You can also specify a custom logo and colors. For even greater customization you can override the simple Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) with your own files.

Q: Can I customize the preferences (first name, last name, etc.) that are displayed?

A: Yes, you can control the title, type (text, dropdown, radio, etc.), and order of each preference. You can also make fields required or optional.

Q: Can I customize the publications (Weekly newsletter, Special deals, etc.) that are displayed?

A: Yes, you can control the title, description, and order of the publications. You can also organize them into categories and provide a thumbnail and link to sample content that will help your end users to better understand the publication.

Q: Can I collect preferences for channels other than email?

A: Yes, you specify which channels (email, SMS, and voice) for which you would like to collect preferences.

Q: My company has multiple brands, can I have a different preference center for each of those brands?

A: Yes, you can create multiple preference centers for each Amazon Pinpoint project. Each preference center can have different logos, colors, wording, and preferences.

Q: Does the preference center support multiple languages?

A: Yes, you can create multiple preference centers for various languages and use URL (query string) parameters to control which language is displayed.

Q: Can I use the preference center to collect new users from my website (opt-in)?

A: Yes, you can embed the preference center into your existing site using an inline frame tag (<iframe>), or link directly to the preference center allowing end users to sign up for your publications.

Q: Will the preference center allow my end users to opt-out of all communications?

A: Yes, you can optionally enable an Unsubscribe from all functionality that will prevent end users from receiving any further communications.

Q: Can I use my own domain name?

A: Yes, the static assets are hosted via Amazon CloudFront, so you can configure Amazon Route53 with your custom domain name.

Q: What are the prerequisites before I can deploy the Amazon Pinpoint Preference Center solution?

A: There are no required prerequisites for this solution.

Q: Can I deploy the solution in any AWS Region?

A: This solution uses the Amazon Pinpoint service, which is not currently available in all AWS Regions. You must launch this solution in an AWS Region where this AWS service is available. For more information, refer to the AWS Regional Services list.
