AWS Startups Blog
Join us at Startup Day in London and take your startup to new heights
Over the past 11 years, more startups have built on AWS than any other provider. And as cloud evolves, it continues to change the way startups are being built. While today it may only take one person and a few thousand dollars to get an idea off the ground, you still need the right advice and tools to quickly be able to launch your next big venture.
Designed with startup founders and technical staff in mind, the AWS Startup Day series was created to help accelerate startup innovation and growth and we’re excited to be bringing the event to London for the first time. Global Startup Evangelist Mackenzie Kosut will deliver the main keynote with advice and guidance on how to best take your ideas to market. Mackenzie will be joined by the disruptors and innovators from within the UK startup eco-system, including TransferWise, Deliveroo, and DevicePilot to name a few. They’ll all share stories about how they’ve adopted AWS technologies to enable scalability, growth, and business success.
Later in the day, we’ll switch gears to focus on specific learning paths covering technology application use cases, data-driven innovation and best practices for the business of startups. AWS experts like Asaf Anolik (Head of Innovation) will give you practical insights into how we think about innovation at Amazon, while our Lead EU Evangelist for Alexa, Max Amordeluso, will cover themes around the future of voice. Our technical solution architects will talk about everything from chatbots to serverless architecture, and from mobile messaging apps to presenting a set of well-architected templates designed to reduce time-to-market irrespective of what you’re planning to deploy.
You’ll also get to hear the experiences of other entrepreneurs and challenger brands around how they’ve been addressing customer needs through the use of the AWS platform. In the AI/ML track, we’ll have a panel of startups who’ll talk about their experiences of building with artificial intelligence. Starling Bank will be on hand to talk about effective customer engagement models, while Mirriad will cover lessons around using machine learning to enhance operational efficiency. The breakout sessions will cater for both a technically-minded and business-focused audience. Additionally, there’ll also be opportunities to speak one-on-one with AWS experts from within the startup team and solutions architects – including our technology partners who’ll be represented in the Expo Hall.
In many ways, we still think and behave like a startup ourselves. It’s in our DNA. So whether you’re a new startup looking to launch, or an existing startup looking for ways to scale and grow your business, join us in London to get inspired to create the next great startup story.
