T2: The Low Cost Instance with Burstable Performance

Meet the new Amazon EC2 instance: T2. T2 is startup friendly, with prices starting as low as $0.013 per hour or less than $10 a month.
T2 Overview
Amazon EC2 provides scalable computing capacity in the AWS Cloud, eliminating your need to invest in hardware up front. T2 instances are designed to provide a consistent, baseline level of CPU performance with the ability to burst above the baseline when you need it. T2 is well suited for running applications that do not require sustained high CPU performance, but can benefit from the ability to burst to full core performance. Examples include, but are not limited to, web servers, developer environments, code repositories and small databases. Put plainly, T2 instances provide the performance you need, when you need it, at a low cost.
