Grafana Labs Kubernetes Monitoring now available in AWS Marketplace

Grafana Labs is excited to announce that Kubernetes Monitoring, the complete Grafana Cloud solution for monitoring your Kubernetes infrastructure from clusters to containers, is now available in AWS Marketplace. With this offering, Amazon Web Services (AWS) users can easily deploy enterprise-grade software to monitor the efficiency, health, and costs of their Kubernetes fleet with a single step in the AWS console or through the AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI).

How Kubernetes Monitoring works in AWS

Kubernetes Monitoring in Grafana Cloud makes it fast and easy to get a complete observability solution up and running for your infrastructure. With the Kubernetes Monitoring Helm chart, you have a simple, opinionated deployment with a built-in scraping agent that makes it easy to get started, whether you install Kubernetes Monitoring on one cluster or 1,000 clusters.

There is also a new Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) add-on that is tailor-made for your AWS clusters. Based on the existing Kubernetes Monitoring Helm chart, the EKS add-on can be configured so that Kubernetes Monitoring is optimized for Amazon EKS and EKS clusters on AWS Fargate. This lets you scrape metrics that are needed for that specific configuration—and ultimately saving you time and money.

No matter how you deploy Kubernetes Monitoring, you gain all the features that guard against the most frustrating parts of managing your Kubernetes clusters, such as complex auto scaling, CPU throttling, and more. The latest updates in Kubernetes Monitoring allow you to:

  • Spot issues faster – See high-priority issues at a glance.
  • Access all your infrastructure data – Get cluster, node, namespace, pod, and container logs, Kubernetes events, and health and performance metrics—regardless of your cloud provider or Kubernetes distribution.
  • Manage your costs – Correlate resource usage to cost attribution at every level of your infrastructure.
  • Monitor resource usage – Address resource allocation inefficiencies by monitoring usage, requests, and limits over time.
  • Predict CPU and memory usage – Anticipate resource issues with machine learning (ML) predictions for CPU and memory usage—and even identify CPU outlier pods.
  • Improve MTTR with alerting – Proactively solve issues with preconfigured alerts.

In addition to supporting your infrastructure monitoring, Grafana Cloud, can be extended to include metrics, logs, and traces, as well as performance testing with Grafana Cloud k6 and incident response and management with Grafana Incident and Grafana OnCall. There is also the opportunity for organizations to use more than 100 data source plugins—including AWS offerings such as Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon Athena, Amazon OpenSearch Service, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Timestream, and AWS X-Ray. This lets you create a powerful centralized view of all observability data from AWS in Grafana Cloud.

By purchasing Grafana Cloud in AWS Marketplace, you benefit from the simplified, consolidated billing process of AWS billing. Your usage of Kubernetes Monitoring and all of the other offerings on our hosted platform can be applied to your AWS bill.

Conclusion

With Kubernetes Monitoring now available in AWS Marketplace, AWS users can easily deploy a robust and scalable monitoring solution for their Kubernetes infrastructure. By leveraging the power of Grafana Cloud on AWS, organizations can gain deep visibility into their clusters, optimize resource usage, control costs, and proactively address issues. AWS Marketplace streamlines the procurement and billing process, making it seamless to adopt Kubernetes Monitoring as part of your cloud-native monitoring strategy.
